Objective:To investigate atrial fibrillation patients′illness perception during the blanking period after pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) and to analyze its influencing factors, so as to provide a reference for improving patients′cognition of the disease and speeding up the rehabilitation process. Methods:This study was a cross-sectional survey. Convenience sampling method was adopted to select 320 patients with atrial fibrillation who were reexamined in the outpatient department during the blanking period after PVI from Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from Auguest 2022 to May 2023 as the research subjects. The General Information Questionnaire, the Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire (BIPQ), and the Control Attitudes Scale-Revised (CAS-R) were used for on-site investigation. Results:Totally 320 patients were included in this study, including 177 males and 143 females, aged (61.64 ± 10.74) years old. The total score of BIPQ was (42.98 ± 10.49) points, the total score of CAS-R was (27.20 ± 5.65) points. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that age, resting heart rate, postoperative course, and perceived control were the influencing factors of illness perception ( F = 25.24, P<0.05). Conclusions:The illness perception of atrial fibrillation patients during the blanking period after PVI needs to be improved urgently. Medical staff should pay more attention to patients with old age, fast resting heart rate, short postoperative course, and low perceived control, and take effective measures to reduce negative illness perception and promote postoperative rehabilitation.

Objective:To analyze effects of dietary intervention on health outcome in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome. Methods:PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Embase, China Biology Medicine disc, CNKI and WanFang Data were searched by the computer, and clinical RCTs about dietary intervention in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome were included. The retrieval time was up to August 2020. Two trained researchers independently screened the literature, extracted data and evaluated the quality. Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 software. Results:A total of 9 clinical RCTs were included, including 697 patients with polycystic ovary syndrome. The results of Meta-analysis showed that compared with the control group, dietary intervention could reduce the body weight ( MD=-2.22, 95% CI -2.75--1.68, P<0.001) , body mass index ( MD=-1.05, 95% CI -1.24--0.87, P<0.001) , waist circumference ( MD=-2.35, 95% CI -4.17--0.53, P=0.01) , fasting blood glucose ( MD=-0.12, 95% CI -0.18--0.05, P<0.001) , fasting insulin ( MD=-4.77, 95% CI -5.59--3.96, P<0.001) , insulin resistance index assessed by steady-state model ( MD=-0.93, 95% CI -1.29--0.57, P<0.001) , luteinizing hormone ( MD=-0.46, 95% CI -0.90--0.03, P=0.040) , follicle-stimulating hormone ( MD=-0.16, 95% CI -0.31--0.01, P=0.030) , total testosterone ( MD=-0.33, 95% CI -0.53--0.13, P<0.001) , increase sex hormone-binding globulin ( MD=8.02, 95% CI 5.55-10.49, P<0.001) and pregnancy rate ( RR=18.38, 95% CI 4.47-75.55, P<0.001) of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome. Conclusions:Dietary intervention can improve the pregnancy rate of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, improve the endocrine and metabolic status and reduce the level of insulin resistance and human measurable indicators.

Objective This project aimed to study the Miao medicine helleborus thibetanus franchon, including investigating its anti-inflammatory activity in collagen-induced arthritis CIA rats and its mechanism of VEGF/VEGFR2/P38 MAPK pathway regulation. Methods Sixty female Wistar rats were randomly divided into six groups:normal;model;positive drug;and low, medium, high dose groups, with 10 rats in each group.Bovine type Ⅱ collagen solution was injected into the tail of rats to construct the rheumatoid arthritis model, and the positive drug group was given MTX2.0 mg/(kg·d)by gavage once every other day.The three groups of helleborus thibetanus franchon low, medium, and high dose were gavaged with helleborus thibetanus franchon ethanol extract at 0.25,0.5 and 1 g/(kg·d)once a day.The normal and model groups were given an equivalent volume of NaCl solution, with continuous administration lasting for 28 days.During treatment, the general condition of the rats was observed, body weight changes recorded, and foot thickness measured. After treatment and euthanasia, the rats'hind limbs were removed for Micro-CT to detect bone destruction;hematoxylin and eosin staining for pathological investigattion of the synovial membrane;immunohistochemistry to observe neovascularization in the synovium;quantitative reverse-transcription PCR to detect mRNA levels of VEGF-A,VEGFR2,TNF-α in the synovial tissue;and Western Blot to detect the expression of VEGF,VEGFR2,p-P38,p-AKT.The analyses were used to explore the potential mechanisms of action of the Miao medicine helleborus thibetanus franchon in treating rheumatoid arthritis. Results Compared with the normal group, the model group showed significant weight loss(P<0.01),increased foot swelling(P<0.01),visible proliferative synovial tissue with inflammatory cell infiltration, erosive lesions on bone surfaces, increased neovascularization in the synovium, and significant bone destruction in Micro-CT,with reduced bone percentage, trabecular thickness, and bone density. The levels of VEGF-A,VEGFR2,TNF-α mRNA and VEGF-A,VEGFR2,p-P38,p-AKT proteins were significantly elevated(P<0.01).Compared with the model group, the helleborus thibetanus franchon ethanol extract-treated groups showed improvements in these conditions in a dose-dependent manner, with the high-dose group receiving the best effect. There was a significant increase in the rats'body weight(P<0.05);reduction in foot swelling(P<0.05);amelioration of synovial and erosive bone lesions;reduction in neovascularization in the synovium;and significantly lower levels of VEGF-A,VEGFR2,and TNF-α mRNA,and VEGF-A,VEGFR2,p-P38,and p-AKT protein(P<0.01).Conclusions The Miao medicine plant helleborus thibetanus franchon may alleviate joint inflammatory damage in CIA rats by modulating the VEGF/VEGFR2 signaling pathway, thereby exerting therapeutic effects on rheumatoid arthritis.
