Objective To analyze the imaging characteristics of pulmonary sclerosing hemangioma(PSH) and to improve the accurate rate of its diagnosis before surgery. Methods Imaging findings in 11 cases pathologically proved sclerosing hemangiomas were retrospectively analyzed in comparison with pathology. Results The imaging findings of PSH mostly were solitary masses with homogeneous density, and with smooth margin in 10 cases and irregular margin in 1 case;1 case with slight calcification and 1 case with air-meniscus sign were found.7 cases were homogeneous enhancement and 4 were heterogeneous enhancement on contrast-enhanced scan. The high and low attenuation areas on CT corresponded with angiomatous and cystic areas respecitvely on pathology. Conclusion Chest roentgenogram and unenhanced CT scan of PSH are not of remarkable characteristics,contrast-enhanced CT scan plays an important role in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of PSH.

This paper has reported the data of health volunteer's liver sections, which are measured with B-Model ultrasonic scan, so as to provide the data to be for clinical reference.15 data for each volunteer were measured and treated them with statistics, the conclusions represent as follows:1. The thick diameter (i.e. anterior-posterior diameter of liver)of liver mear-suing at right midclavicular and preaxillar line are compared with body surface area and thoraxic width(transverse diameter)and thickness, the thick diameter has relevance to them closely (r= 0.3159-0.4409, P

Objective To explore the effects and mechanism of atrovastatin on the expression of the NF-κB in renal tissues of diabetic rats. Methods A total of 60 male SD rats was randomly taken out 40 rats to make diabetic model by injection of 65mg streptozotoein (STZ) into enterocoelia, the rest of 20 rats were normal control group. After the model made, atrovastatin (2 mg/kg/d) was given to the treated group, and the normal control group and diabetic rats without treatment group were given equivalent water. After 12 weeks, the rats were killed.Total RNA of the renal tissues was isolated from one kidney for each rat,and the renal tissues from the another kidney was prepared for immunohistochemistry (IHC) analysis. The NF-κB mRNA expressions among three groups were determined by RT-PCR.The distribution of NF-κB in the renal tissues was observed, and compared its difference among three groups.ResultsPCR showed that NF-κB mRNA was increased in the renal tissues of diabetic rats compared to control rats ( P < 0.05 ).Drug-treated rats showed significantly decreased levels of NF-κB mRNA in the renal tissues compared to the untreated diabetic group( P <0.05).The results were also observed in protein lelel of NF-κB expression.IHC showed that there existed positive cells in the glomerular and renal tubulointerstitum. Conclusions Atrovastatin can down-regulate the expression of NF-κB and suppress the increased level of NF-κB protein in the renal tissue of diabetic rats, and slow the progress of retinopathy.

Objective To evaluate the value of MSCT perfusion imaging in assessment of single renal function of hydronephrotic kidney. Methods 64-slice spiral CT perfusion was performed in 36 obstructive nephrohydrosis patients whose split renal glomerular filtration rate(GFR) was measured by SPECT renal dynamic imaging. ①The perfusion parameters of the renal cortex and renal medulla of the hydronephrotic kidney were compared with the normal kidney studied by contrast group. ②The 72 kidneys were divided into normal renal function, mild and severe renal impairment groups according to renal function. Differences between the groups respect to all the mean perfusion parameters of the renal cortex and renal medulla were assesses by ANOVA. ③Using Pearsons correlation test, the correlations between all the mean perfusion parameters of the renal cortex and renal medulla and renal GFR were examined. Results ① The time-density curves of bilateral normal renal cortex and medulla were not symmetric. The mean BF, BV, PS, PBV of renal cortex were (203. 2±44.9)ml·100 ml~(-1)·min~(-1), (27.6±3.9)ml/100 ml, (30.7±6.5)ml·100 ml~(-1)· min~(-1), (46.5±10. 9)ml/100 ml; and the mean BF, BV, PS, PBV of renal medulla were (99.9±24.1)ml·100 ml~(-1)·min~(-1) ,(18. 3±4.3)ml/100 ml, (51.8±12.1)ml · 100 ml~(-1)· min~(-1) , (21.3±3.0)ml/100 ml. The mean perfusion parameters of the cortex and medulla of obstructed kidney were lower compared to that of normal kidney. ②There were significant differences of all the perfusion parameters of the renal cortex and me-dulla between 3 groups (P<0. 05). ③The perfusion parameters of the renal cortex and medulla had positive linear correlation with GFR. The best correlation was the blood flow of the cortex of kidney. The correlation coefficient r=0.852.Conclusions64-slice spiral CT perfusion imaging can quantita-tively evaluate the haemodynamic condition and functional lesion of the kidney, classify the impaired kidney function. The perfusion parameters of the renal cortex and medulla had positive linear correlation with GFR.

This paper reports a study regarding the verity of the hypocholestero-lemic effect of konjac-polysaccharide. The konnyaku powder (KP) used in this study was prepared and refined from the tubers of Amorphophallus ko-njac K. Koch and contained 84.8% of glucomannan. Male and female Spra-ue-Dawley rats aged 5 weeks were divided into 5 groups and fed on normal basal diet, hypercholesterolemic diet (control diet) and 3 test diets (i.e. KP was added to the control diet at a dosage of 2.5%, 5% or 10%) respe- ctively, for 12 weeks. The results obtained from this study showed that KP could markedly lower the level of the cholesterol in sera and livers of rats feeding hyper-cholesterolemic diets. At the end of the 4th week of the feeding experiment, the serum cholesterol level of the 5% and the 10% KP groups, and the liver cholesterol level of the 10% KP group were shown to be significantly lower than those of the control group. At the end of the 12th week, serum cholesterol levels of all the 3 KP groups were found to be lowered to the level of the normal group and so did the liver cholesterol level of the 10% KP group. The lipotropic (anticholesteatosis) effect of KP was also confirmed by the hepatic histopathological examination. Besides the hypocholest-eroletmic eftect, KP diets can also increase the bulk of stool. Finally, there were not any harmful effects on the absorption and utilization of Ca, Fe, Zn and Cu being found.
