2.Trend of Syphilis in Korea.
Korean Journal of Dermatology 1970;8(2):31-35
On the basis of stastistical awlysis trend of increase in syphilis patients in Korea closely resembles that reported in other countries. Among these patients, it should be noticed that thy were highly infectious, showing early latent syphilis. Nevertheless, the available diagnstic test for syphilis has only been limited to the Non-treponemal antigen test. Moreover not only schedules employing in the treatment f disease have been different among physicians but the follow up test for each patient bas been quite impossible. In these respects, the author strongly suggests that the effective measures for the prevention and treatment of syphilis will be required as a national policy.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1970;8(2):63-68
One case of malignant acanthosis nigricans associated with internal malignany and oral florid papilloma has been presented and reviewed the subject of malignant acanthosis nigricans. The patient who was 34 year old man had been affected generalixed dark brownish hyperpigmentation with papillomatoses especially on forehead, neck, axillae, umbilical area, anogenital area, webs of fingers, palms and soles. And characteristically it was associated with severe florid papilloma on mucous membrane such as buccal mucosa, lip and glans penis. Histopathologically, internal malignancy was confirmed metastatic adenocarcinoma of stomach after autopsy, although previous biopsy finding was squamous cell carcinoma when explorative laparatomy was done. The response to Bleomycin, new antibiotic anticancer drug, followed by intravenous injection is good and satisfying. But the patient died due to sudden pulmonary hemorrhage which are serious side effect of Bleomycin.

We present a 37-year-old male who was found to had mas within the bronchus. This patients was admitted for the evaluation of cough. Chest CT scan showed endobronchial mass in the bifurcation of LUL and LLL bronchus. The left lower lobe was atelectatic. Lobectomy of the left lower lobe was done. On opening of the bronchus, there was a 2x1x1 cm sized endobronchial mass. Histologically, the mass was smooth muscle tumor composed of densely packed eosinophilic spindle cells in interlacing bundles with pale elongated nuclei covered by bronchial epithelium. On immunohistochemical staining, the tumor cells were positive for desmin. Ultrastructurally, the tumor cells exhibited numberous cytoplasmic microfilaments with focal densities, pinocytotic vesicles, and a thick basal lamina.

In an attempt to treat the cold urticaria, a new bradykinin inhibitor, homoclomin was administered orally and effective result were obtained. The urticaria was confirmed by the employing the ice cube test on the patient and the positive reaction was appeared generally 10 sec. to 15 min. after application of ice cube on the forearm. After oral administration for 3 days (40mg/day) clinical symptoms were relieved temporarily and weakly positive or negative reaction observed in repeated ice cube test.

Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 1993;34(4):352-356
The major forms of amyloidosis affecting the eye are primary systemic and localized amyloidosis. Primary Amyloidosis localized to the conjuctiva is relatively rare, especially involved to bulbar conjunctiva and corn eo scleral limbus and is consiccered to be in the differential diagnosis of other conjunctival diseases. We diagnosed a amyloidosis in which the biopsy from the superior bulbar conjunctiva and superior cornea of the left eye of 68-year-old woman showed histopathologic findings of amyloidosis. There were no evidences of amyloid deposit except conJuntiva and cornea on physical and other systemic examination, including immunelectrophoresis, and cornea on physical and other systemic examination, including immunelectrophoresis, and no evidences of underlying disease that can cause amyloidosis. So we concluded that it was primary localized amyloidosis of bulbar conjunctiva and cotnea.
