Chinese Medical Ethics 1995;0(03):-
The paper expounds the ethics problems caused by doctor's selling activities in consulting room, which means the conflicts between doctors and patients, purchase pressure implied in seeking medical ad vice, disgrace to the aim of medical service etc. Furthermore puts forward some suggestions about strengthening management, stopping doctors' selling activities:1. to curb doctors' selling activities in consulting room; 2. to formulate health law and regulations, standardize medical behavior; 3. to deepen health reformation, improve investment mechanism.

Clinical Medicine of China 2011;27(8):805-807
Objective To probe into the usage of statins in the patients with coronary artery disease in elderly patients. Methods From Jun 1,2009 to Mar 31,2009 in our hospital, 323 elderly outpatients with coronary artery disease were included in the investigation. The data were statistically analyzed. Results 62.2% of the patients used statins. The statins usage rates (44. 8% ,61.3% ,71.3% ) among three age groups(60 -69 years old,70- 79 years old, and > 80 years old)were significantly different. The rates of statins usage were significantly different between male and female groups. Conclusion The usage of statins as secondary prevention of coronary artery disease varies and there is urgent need to standardize the usage of statins according to the treatment guideline.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 2011;31(7):837-839
ObjectiveTo evaluate the role of the spinal cord proteasome in chronic morphine tolerance in rats.MethodsTwenty-four healthy male SD rats in which intrathecal catheters were successfully placed without complications were randomized into 4 groups ( n =6 each):normal saline group ( group NS),chronic morphine tolerance group (group M),chronic morphine tolerance + proteasome inhibitor MG-132 group (group M + MG) and MG-132 group (group MG).Normal saline 10 μl,morphine 10 μg,morphine 10 μg+ MG-132 2.5 μg and MG-132 2.5 μg were injected intrathecally twice a day for 7 consecutive days in groups NS,M,M + MG and MG respectively.Tail flick latency was measured on day 1 before intrathecal injection and on day 1,3,5 and 7 of intrathecal injection to calculate the percentage of maximum possible antinociceptive effect (MPAE).After the last intrathecal injection,5 rats were sacrificed, and L3-5 spinal cord was removed for determination of the expression of glutamate-aspartate transporter (GLAST) and excitatory amino acids carrier 1 (EAAC1)by Western blot. Results MPAE was gradually decreased during the intrathecal injection in groups M and M + MG( P < 0.05).Compared with group NS,MPAE was gradually incresed during the intrathecal injection in groups M and M + MG,and the expression of GLAST and EAAC1 in the spinal cord was significantly down-regulated in group M (P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the parameters mentioned above between group MG and group NS ( P >0.05 ).Compared with group M,MPAE was significantly increased and the expression of GLAST and EAAC1 in the spinal cord was significantlyup-regulatedingroupM+MG(P<0.05or0.01).ConclusionSpinal cord proteasome is involved in the development of chronic morphine tolerance in rats.

Objective To explore the feasibility to diagnose ureterolithiasis by 16-multidetector spiral computed tomography (16-MDCT) at different low doses based on body mass index (BMI).Methods A total of one hundred patients from 2009 Sep to 2010 Feb suspected of ureterolithiasis were randomly divided into 2 equal groups undergoing 16-MDCT at standard-dose (120 kV, 240 mA) or lowdose (120, 80, and 50 mA, respectively) based on the body mass index (BMI).Taking the clinical diagnosis as the standard, the sensitivity level, specificity level, and positive predictive value of these groups were compared. Results The dose length product ( DLP ) of the low-dose CT group and the average CT dose index (CTDIvol ) were 18.95 and 6.65 mGy, respectively. There was significant difference between the two groups ( t = 31.78, P < 0.01 ).The sensitivity level, specificity level, and positive predictive value of the low-dose group were 97.1% , 94.0% , and 94.3% , respectively, all not significantly different from those of the standard-dose groups (97.3% , 96.0% , and 97.3% , respectively,P >0.05).Conclusions It is feasible to diagnose ureterolithiasis by low-dose 16-MDCT based on BMI with the obtained image quality meeting the clinical diagnostic requirements.

Objective To explore the role of uncoupling protein 2 ( UCP2) in the development of hepatic fibrosis and its molecular mechanism .Methods The CCl4-induced liver fibrosis rat model in vivo was established to observe the pathological changes of rat livers .The expression levels of UCP2 and p38 mitogen activated protein kinase (p38 MAPK) were detected by using the techniques of Western blotting , Real-time PCR and immunohistochemistry .The hepatic stellate cells ( HSC) were stimulated by CCl 4 and UCP2-specific inhibitor Genipin to mimic liver fibrosis in vitro. The expression levels of UCP2 and p38MAPK were determined by using Western blotting .Results We found that UCP2 and α-SMA expression levels increased significantly (P <0.05, n =10) in the liver of rats with CCl4-induced liver fibrosis when compared with that of the normal control rats in vivo.Similarly, the expression levels of UCP2 and p38 MAPK were up regulated (P <0.05, n=6) in CCl4-treated HSC cells in vitro. However, the expressions of UCP2 and p38 MAPK were down regulated (P <0.05, n=6) in genipin-treated HSC cells in vitro. Conclusion UCP2 is involved in liver fibrosis, and probably contributed to the activation and proliferation of hepatic stellate cells .

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2014;28(4):235-237
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the clinical characteristics of urgent tracheotomy patients.
METHOD:
Forty-five cases of urgent tracheotomy patients were reviewed retrospectively. The clinical characteristics, pre-operative and post-operative clinical manifestation and complication were studied. Most patients for urgent tracheotomy were head and neck tumor, inflammation and head and neck injury.
RESULT:
Two patients died in operating and two patients died in post-operation. Finding respiratory depression in six patients of long obstruction in post-operation. Eleven patients had complication in operating or post-operation. Hemorrhage and pneumoderma and local trauma were the main complications.
CONCLUSION
Emergent tracheotomy and elective tracheotomy were different-in the short operation time and body position. Complication incidence rate were higher than normal tracheotomy. Patients of long obstruction after post-operation shouldn't breathe in pure dephlogisticated air to avoidance respiratory depression.

Chinese Journal of Zoonoses 2014;(12):1239-1244
ABSTRACT:As the only intermediate host of Schistosoma j aponicum ,Oncomelania hupensis is an important link of schis‐tosomiasis .It plays an important role in the transmission of schistosomiasis .This article mainly demonstrates the following as‐pects :the invasion of schistosome miracidium into O .hupensis ,the growth of sporocyst ,and the mature and escape of cercari‐ae ,which would provide laboratory data from literatures for revealing the symbiotic relationship between O .hupensis and S . japonicum .However ,the symbiotic relationship between O .hupensis and S .japonicum is too complex to description com‐pletely .Therefore ,the symbiotic relationship will be the focus of future research .
