Objective: To investigate the influence of low viscosity and high viscosity bone cement in PVP on active function, anatomical index and leakage rate of patients with severe osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCF). Methods: From October 2015 to June 2017, 136 patients with severe OVCF were chosen in the Central Hospital of Yuncheng and randomly divided into two groups according to the digital table, with 68 patients in each group.The control group was given low viscosity bone cement by PVP scheme, and the observation group was given high viscosity bone cement by PVP.The VAS score, ODI score, SF-36 score and kyphosis Cobb angle before and after operation, the recovery rate of injured vertebrae, bone cement injection volume and postoperative cement leakage rate of the two groups were compared. Results: There were no statistically significant differences in the VAS score, ODI score and SF-36 score before operation between the two groups(all P>0.05). The VAS score, ODI score and SF-36 score after operation of the control group were (1.90±0.32)points, (30.38±3.52)points, (76.07±9.38)points, respectively, which of the observation group were (1.94±0.34)points, (29.72±3.34)points, (77.10±9.60)points, respectively, which were significantly better than those before operation(control group: t=4.27, 5.01, 4.02; observation group: t=4.21, 4.89, 3.87, all P<0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in the VAS score, ODI score and SF-36 score after operation between the two groups(all P>0.05). The kyphosis Cobb angle after operation of the observation group was (14.02±2.59)°, which was significantly lower than (16.83±3.31)° of the control group and (27.78±4.09)° before operation (t=4.99, 2.64, all P<0.05). The recovery rate of injured vertebrae of the observation group was (28.34±5.70)%, which was statistically significantly higher than (22.72±4.16)% of the control group (t=3.42, P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the bone cement injection volume between the two groups(P>0.05). The incidence rate of bone cement leakage in the observation group was 10.29%(7/68), which was significantly lower than that in the control group [30.88%(21/68)](χ²=12.15, P<0.05). Conclusion Low viscosity and high viscosity bone cement in PVP in the treatment of patients with severe OVCF possess the same clinical effects on relieve pain and improve activity and quality of life; but high viscosity bone cement application can efficiently improve the anatomical index of injured vertebrae and avoid postoperative cement leakage.

This study was to investigate the inhibitory effects of artemether in combination with etoposide on the proliferation and invasion ability of human small cell lung cancer cell line H446.H446 cells were treated with different concentrations of artemether or etoposide alone or their combination.The inhibitory effects on proliferation were detected by MTT assay,while cell cycle and apoptosis of H446 cells in each group were analyzed by flow cytometry using PI and Annexin V/PI-staining,respectively.The invasion capability of H446 cells in different groups was tested with matrigel-coated transwell.The results implicated that artemether or etoposide or their combination does inhibit proliferation of H446 cells dose-dependently.Artemether alone had little effect on the apoptosis of H446 cells while its combination with etoposide resulted in significantly apoptosis of H446 cells comparing with other groups (P ＜ 0.05).Etoposide blocked H446 progression markedly by arresting cell cycle in G2 phase with percentage of cells in G1 phase decreasing significantly while artemether alone or in combination with etoposide had little synergetic effect on cell cycle.Artemether or etoposite alone or their combination could dramatically inhibit the invasion ability of H446 cells.

Objective To investigate the effect of Akt pathway inhibitor AZD5363 on cell proliferation and invasion of QBC939 and RBE cholangiocarcinoma cells and the mechanism.Methods Western blotting was used to detect Akt and downstream protein and mTOR protein expression in two cancer cell lines after process by AZD5363.Inhibition rate and cytotoxicity was tested by CCK-8 assay,and Transwell assay was used to evaluate the invasive ability of cancer cells.Results QBC9393 cell exposed to AZD5363 LD50 drug concentration (24 ±9) was significantly different compared with control group (t =4.47,P ＜ 0.05),RBE cells LD50 drug concentration (21 ± 8) was significantly different compared with control (t =4.41,P ＜ 0.05).Tumor invasion capacity of QBC939 in drug concentrations of 20 μmol/L (63 ± 12) and 0 μmoL/L (271 ± 27),the difference was statistically significant.RBE exposed AZD5363 upon drug concentrations of 20 μmol/L (58 ± 23) and 0 μmol/L (235 ± 21),the difference was statistically significant.AZD5363 promotes phosphorylation of mTOR in QBC939.Conclusions AZD5363 inhibits the proliferation and migration,inhibiting the phosphorylation of Akt and its downstream molecules.AZD5363 promotes phosphorylation of mTOR in QBC939.

The pre-S/S gene variants of hepatitis B virus (HBV) cause various pathological and clinical outcomes. Occult hepatitis B, fulminant hepatitis or liver failure, HBsAg- and HBsAb-positive HBV infection, and primary liver cancer are all associated with HBV pre-S/S gene variants, which are involved in the development and progression of these HBV-related diseases. This article introduces the association between HBV pre-S/S gene variants and the development and progression of HBV-related liver diseases, reviews the results of related clinical and basic research, and emphasizes the controversial issues in current research, in order to provide clues for further studies.

To analyze the main factors influencing the ethical review work of municipal hospitals in Shanxi Province by investigating the current situation of the construction and operation of ethics committees, and to put forward reasonable suggestions for improving the work of ethics committees. Questionnaire surveys and interviews were used to investigate the composition of ethics committees, systems and standard operating procedures, personnel training, review project methods, time limits, etc. of 24 hospitals at municipal levels in Shanxi Province. The establishment and system of ethics committees in tertiary hospitals at prefecture and city level were basically reasonable, and they could actively play the role of ethics committees. At present, most hospitals do not pay enough attention to the work of ethics committees, lack of full-time staff and systematic training, resulting in insufficient ethics review capabilities. The construction of the ethics committee of the second-level hospital is a mere formality, and no substantive work has been carried out. It is recommended to strengthen the supervision, increase the training of ethics committees and researchers, improve the information management of ethics committees, and establish regional ethics committees to further improve the ability and efficiency of ethics review.

OBJECTIVEAutophagy is involved in several neurodegenerative diseases and recently its role in acute brain injury has won increasing interest. Spinal cord injuries (SCIs) often lead to permanent neurological deficit. Therefore, in this study, we examined the pro?les of autophagy-linked proteins (MAP-LC3) after SCI to investigate whether the expression of autophagy contributes to neurological deficit after SCI.

METHODSAdult female Sprague-Dawley rats were used and randomly divided into control and SCI groups. All the rates received laminectomy at T8-T10 level. Those in the SCI group received additional exposure of the dorsal surface of the spinal cord, followed by a weight- drop injury. Thereafter we investigated the expression levels of MAP-LC3, beclin-1, Cathepsin D and the beclin-1-binding protein bcl-2 by western blot analysis at 12 h, 24 h, 3 d, 7 d, 21 d and 28 d. One-way ANOVA with Tukey post hoc test was used to compare data between groups.

RESULTSWe observed significant increase in the level of LC3 (LC3-II/LC3-I) at 3 d and 7 d after SCI when compared with the sham group. While the level of beclin-1 and ratio of beclin-1/bcl-2 was found to have increased from 12 h to 24 h after injury. Cathepsin D expression was also elevated at 7 d (P<0.01).

CONCLUSIONBased on the above mentioned data, we proposed that autophagy plays a role in the manifestation of cell injury following SCI.

Objective To investigate the analgesic efficacy of ultrasound?guided adductor canal blockade (ACB)after minor arthroscopic knee surgery. Methods Sixty patients undergone minor arthroscopic knee surgery were randomly divided into group ACB(n=20)and group Control(n=20). All patients received spinal anesthesia. The patients in group ACB received ultrasound?gGuided ACB with 20 ml 0.5% ropivacaine,and patients in group Control received 20 ml saline after the surgery. In addition ,all patients have a basic analgesic regimen with etoricoxib. Visual analogue scales(VAS) during rest and passive movement ,additional analgesic dose and side effects were recorded at 4,8,12,24 h Post?operation. At 24 h post?operation,the numbers of patients who can walk for 5 meters were recorded. Results VAS during rest and movement at 4 h,8 h and 12 h post?operation in group ACB were significantly lower than those in group Control. And all patients could walk 5m at 24 h post?operation. No headache,nausea and vomiting,urinary retention and other adverse reactions were observed in group ACB. There were four patients who received additional analgesic and one patient vomitted. Conclusions Significant analgesic effect of the ACB could be detected after minor arthroscopic knee surgery ,with less reduction in requirements for supplemental opioids.

ObjectiveTo investigate the protective effects and mechanism of ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) on α-naphthylisothi (ANIT)-induced cholestatic liver injury in rats.MethodsA total of 48 Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were selected.Fouty-two rats were gavaged with ANIT (100 mg/kg) to induce acute liver injury,six rats were sacrificed 24 hours after the liver injury and the rats left were evenly divided into control group which were gavaged with saline and UDCA group which were gavaged with UDCA (20 mg/kg).Six rats were sacrificed at 48 hours,72 hours and 96 hours after modeling.The six untreated rats were set as blank control group.Serum and liver tissues of all rats were kept after sacrificed.Serum levels of alanine transaminase (ALT),aspartate transaminase (AST),total bilirubin (TBil) and total bile acid (TBA) were tested,interleukin-10 (IL-10),interleukin-6 (IL-6),and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).The expression of multidrug resistance associated protein2 (Mrp2) at mRNA level in liver tissue was measured by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and the inflammatory reaction activity of liver tissues was inspected with Haematoidin-Eosin (HE)staining under microscope.ResultsAt 48 hours after liver injury modeling,serum TBil (143.80± 12.08) μmol/L vs.(178.50±15.19) μmol/L,TBA (13.15±3.81) μmol/L vs.(21.68±7.93)mol/L,IL-10 (44.13±3.68,37.15±6.25 ng/L),IL-6(50.80±2.09,57.32±4.63 ng/L) and TNF-α (17.53±0.84) ng/L vs,(19.10±1.64) ng/L of UDCA group and control group were compared,and the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.01 or P＜ 0.05).At 72 hours after liver injury modeling,serum ALT (721.67±97.54) U/L vs.(929.50±148.29) U/L and IL-10 (54.68±6.79)ng/L vs.(43.85±4.08) ng/L of UDCA group and control group were compared,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.01 or P＜0.05).At 96 hours after liver injury modeling,serum ALT (156.83±14.99) U/L vs.(250.67±42.29) U/L,AST (143.67±27.45) U/L vs.(206.00±63.94) U/L and TBil (23.53±5.08) μmol/L vs.(34.02±9.98) μmol/L of UDCA group and control group were compared,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.01 or P＜0.05).The differences of Mrp2 expression at mRNA level in liver tissues between UDCA group and control group at 48 hours (0.77 ± 0.21,0.46 ± 0.25),72 hours (2.27 ±0.84,1.10 ±0.38) and 96 hours (3.64±0.54,2.75±0.69) after liver injury modeling were statistically significant (P＜0.01 or P＜0.05).ConclusionThe mechanism of the protective effects of UDCA on ANIT-induced liver injury may be related with the regulation of serum cytokines and liver Mrp2 expression.

Objective:To define the role of lymph tracers in lymph node dissection and pathological examination of papillary thyroid carcinoma. Methods:Patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma who met inclusion criteria were enrolled and randomly assigned into the three groups, namely, carbon nanoparticle (CN), methylene blue (MB), and conventional surgery (CS) groups. The number of detected lymph nodes in each group was summed, and pathological examination was conducted. Histological examination of the lymph node specimens in the tracer group was performed based on the classification of staining and nonstaining groups. Results:Major complications such as anaphylaxis did not occur after injection of CN and MB. The average of the detected lymph nodes was higher in the tracer group than in the CS group, and the detection rate of the lymph node was higher in the CN group than in the MB group. In addition, the rate of cancer metastasis was higher in the group with stained lymph node than in the group with unstained lymph node. The index of the CN group was higher than that of the MB group. Conclusion:The tracing effect and lymphatic tropism of CNs were stronger than MB. The thyroid lymph tracer technique may promote the normalization and thoroughness of lymph node dissection in thyroid cancer.

Objective To analyze the clinical features and risk factors for mortality of patients with severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) in Zhoushan, the eastern coastal of China with high incidence of severe fever with thrambocytopenia syndrome bunyavirus infection, to provide reference for reducing the mortality rate of SFTS.Methods Clinical data of 107 cases of SFTS from Zhoushan Hospital during June 2011 to June 2016 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the prognosis, patients were divided into survival group and death group.The clinical features and the laboratory results were analyzed with a case-control method to analyze the prognostic factors.Normal distribution data were compared with the independent t test.Kolmogorov-Smirnov Z test were used in data with skewness distribution.Categorical data were analyze by chi-square test.The related risk factors were analyzed with the receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) curve and multivariate unconditioned logistics regression analysis.Results Seventeen cases among 107 STFs patients died, yielding the mortality rate of 15.9%.The proportion of patients suffering from two or more underlying diseases, with disorders of consciousness, activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), the level of creatine kinase (CK), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) as well as sepsis-related or sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) score in death group were all significantly higher than those in the survival group (all P<0.05).The Ca2+ level and fibrinogen level in death group were significantly lower than those in the survival group (both P<0.05).Indexes mentioned above were analyzed by ROC curve, and the calculated cut-off value was set as the optimal diagnostic thresholds.These data were then included into the multivariate logistic regression analysis.It turned out that Ca2+<1.625 mmol/L, APTT >73.45 s, SOFA scores >9 were the independent risk factors for mortality of SFTS (OR=6.947, 8.459 and 11.770, respectively, all P<0.05).Conclusion Ca2+, APTT and SOFA score are the independent risk factors for prognosis of SFTS, which provide reference for prognostic evaluation of SFTS.
