OBJECTIVE To observe the expres-sion of interleukin-12 and eosinophils in the nasal mu-cosa of allergic rhinitis mice. METHODS Thirty nine male BALB/c mice,6～8 weeks old,were randomly divided into three groups: control group,allergic rhinitis (AR)group, and Budesonide treatment group. Al-lergic rhinitis model in mice were established by using ovalbumin intraperitoneal immunization and nasal anti-gen challenge. The nasal mucosa obtained from mice of three groups were stained routinely by HE and im-munohistochemical method to observe the distribu-tion and expression of interleukin-12 and eosinophils. Objective: To observe the effects of sodium heparin and low molecular weight heparin on the release of plasma hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) in senior coronary heart disease patients.Methods: Fifty-four senior patients with coronary heart disease were divided into three groups: intravenous sodium heparin, subcutaneous sodium heparin, and subcutaneous low molecular weight heparin (LMWH). Plasma HGF and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) were measured before and after injection.Results: Plasma HGF was increased rapidly and significantly after intravenous injection of sodium heparin, reaching its peak level (about 48 fold) after approximately 10 minutes. Plasma HGF was also increased rapidly and significantly after subcutaneous injection of sodium heparin and LMWH, reaching its peak level (about 4 and 5 fold in sodium heparin and LMWH respectively) after approximately 2-3 hours. Conclusion: The rise of plasma HGF after heparin treatment suggests that heparin has some other biological effects in addition to its anticoagulant property through HGF. By this mechanism, the administration of heparin may be of some importance in the reparation of cardio-vascular diseases.

Objective To evaluate the impact of 1125 seeds para-tracheal braehytherapy on regional tissue injury in rab-bit models. Methods 42 rabbits were randomized into 7 groups. Group 1 to 6 belong to study groups (in which 1,4,5 and 6 belong to "dose gradient" subgroup, while 2,3 and 4 to "chronologic" subgroup) , while the last group acts as negative con-trol. The activity of seeds in study group were 0.3 mCi in group 1, 0.5 mCi in group 2 to 5, 0.7 mCi in group 5, and 0.9mCi in group 6. False seeds (0 mCi) were used for the negative control. 4 seeds with equal dosage were implanted between trachea and esophagus in each rabbit under general anesthesia. Seeds arrangement was made according to Paris principle. For the tissue injury evaluation, group 2 was sacrificed by the end of first month post-operatively, group 3 at the end of the second month, and group 4 end of the third month. The rest of rabbits were also sacrificed at the end of the third month. Pieces of adjacent e-sophagus and trachea were sampled from each rabbit. Tissue injury features such as inflammation, edema, congestion or fibrosis as evaluated histologically. Results All rabbits were healthy during study period except 5. Histological analysis revealed that trachea samples from all groups had lymphocytas and plasma cells infiltration as signs of chronic inflammation, hut fibrosis was nut clearly visible. There were no differences between study and control groups with respect to inflammation, edema and con-gestion scores. But in groups which received the highest doses of radiation or sacrificed at 60 d showed more eosinophil infiltra-tion and epithelum degeneration, and statistical significance was reached between these groups and control. Esophageal samples had less histological changes compared with trachea. Conclusion Para-tracheal implantation of ~(125)Ⅰ seeds with therapeutic or higher dosage only induce minor and reversible damage to the regional tissue. This implies that ~(125)Ⅰ implants adjacent to trachea or esophagus are clinically safe.

Objective To investigate the effects of suramin application in acute angle closure glaucoma surgery patients.Methods A prospective study method was used.From February 2012 to January 2016,178 acute angle closure glaucoma surgeries in our hospital for treatment were selected,and were equally divided into observation and control groups (89 cases in each group) according to the order of admission,and two groups were given filtration surgery.The observation group was treated with suramin adjuvant therapy after surgery.The duration were 1 ～ 14 d after operation.The prognosis of two groups was observed.Results All patients were successfully completed surgery.The intraoperative and postoperative complications were no seriously occurred;the postoperative intraocular pressure in the observation group and the control group were (11.52 ± 3.24) mmHg and (16.98 ± 5.33) mmHg that compared preoperative [(31.98 ± 5.22) mmHg,(31.87 ± 5.11) mmHg] with significantly different (P ＜ 0.05),while the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P ＜ 0.05).The postoperative peak systolic velocity (PSV) and end diastolic velocity (EDV) values of the central retinal artery of the observation group and the control group were significantly higher than that of preoperation (P ＜ 0.05),and the postoperative PSV and EDV values of the central retinal artery of the observation group were significantly higher than that in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).The postoperative ratios of functional filtering bleb in the observation group and control group were 80.9％ and 60.7％,respectively.The observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The application of suramin in acute close angle glaucoma filtration surgery can promote the function of filtering bleb and intraocular pressure reduction,and improve the ocular blood flow speed that has good application effects.

Objective To compare the curative effect of internal fixation treatment between reconstruction-type intramedullary nailing and long anatomic proximal femoral locking plate for patients with ipsilateral femoral proximal and shaft fractures. Methods Twenty-six patients with ipsilateral femoral proximal and shaft fractures were selected, among whom 12 patients were treated with reconstruction-type intramedullary nailing internal fixation treatment (group A), and 14 patients were treated with long anatomic proximal femoral locking plate internal fixation treatment (group B). The fracture to operation time, operation time, intraoperative blood loss, fracture healing time and hip joint function according to Majeed function score were compared between 2 groups. Results The fracture to operation time, operation time, intraoperative blood loss, proximal femoral fracture healing time, femoral shaft fracture healing time and Majeed function score in group A were (6.65 ± 4.11) d, (131.08 ± 20.70) min, (470.83 ± 96.43) ml, (17.83 ± 2.70) weeks, (20.08 ± 3.97) weeks and (83.83 ± 8.13) scores, and those in group B were (7.13 ± 4.56) d, (141.86 ± 27.30) min, (553.57 ± 127.80) ml, (18.29 ± 5.12) weeks, (21.55 ± 4.19) weeks and (83.21 ± 9.58) scores, and there were no statistical differences (P>0.05). According to Majeed function score, in group A excellent was in 7 cases, good in 4 cases, and general in 1 case; in group B excellent was in 9 cases, good in 3 cases, and general in 2 cases. Conclusions A fixation device fixes two fracture is preferred. Both treatment methods used in the present study could achieve satisfactory curative effect, and should be chosen according to the fracture type of the patients and the surgeon′s familiarity for the methods of internal fixation chosen. The proximal femoral fracture should preferably be reduced and stabilized first. A delay of 5 - 6 d would not affect the ultimate curative effect.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility of lobectomy by completely Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (cVATS) in the management of bronchiectasis.Methods Between June 2001 and October 2010,a total of 60 major lobectomies were performed in our single center on 32 female and 28 male patients of bronchiectasis,with a mean age of 43.4( range 17 to 69)years.All lobectomies were carried out anatomically and divided into thoracotomy group and cVATS group.Pulmonary vessels and bronchus were dissected by endo-cutters.Conversion to a thoracotomy took place if severe adhesion or bleeding was encountered.Results The operations included 5 lobectomies of right upper lobe,3 of middle lobe,6 of right lowerlobe,3 of left upper lobe,26 of left lower lobe,10 of left lower lobe plus lingular segment,4 of left pneumonectomy,1 of bi-lobectomy,1 of right middle lobe plus wedge resection of lower lobe and 1 of left lower lobe plus right middle lobe.There were 25 patients in the thoracotomy group and 35 patients in the cVATS group,in which 2 operations (5.7％) converted due to severe adhesion,poor differentiation of the fissure and/or the proliferation of tortuous vessels at hilus In thoracotomy and cVATS groups,the operative time were ( 207.6 ± 88.5 ) vs.( 168.7 ± 55.9 ) min ( P =0.041 ),the blood loss were ( 522.0 ±644.2) vs.(210.1 ± 213.1 ) ml ( P =0.009),the mean chest tube duration were ( 5.4 ± 4.4) vs.(6.3 ± 3.4 ) days ( P ＞0.05 ) and the mean length of hospitalization were ( 10.2 ±4.7 ) vs.( 8.5 ± 3.5 ) days ( P ＞ 0.05 ).No mortality or severe complication occurred in both groups.The morbidity was 25.7％ (9/25)vs.17.1％ (6/35) in thoracotomy and cVATS group,with no significant difference statistically (P =0.133 ) . There were 52％ vs.62.9％ patients achieved symptomatic completely relief and significant improvement was obtained in 40.0％ vs.31.4％ patients in thoracotomy and cVATS group separately.Conclusion cVATS lobectomy is safe and effective in the management of bronchiectasis.

ObjectiveTo evaluate thd cell biologic changes in thd non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC) which PTEN gene were activated by double-stranded RNA(dsRNA).MethodsSpecific dsRNA was designed.First,the promoter region of PTEN gene was determined by Promoter 2.0 program,then the CpG island in the promoter was found by CpGisland searcher software and the possible target non-CpG sequence that dsRNA might activate were defined by SiRNA Target Finder software.dsRNA were synthesized at Genechem Company( Shanghai,China).Then the specific dsRNA was transfected into A549 and H292 cells which were stored in our laboratory using Lipofectamine 2000 ( Invitrogen,USA) according to manufacture's instruction.Total celluar RNA was isolated.The expression of PTEN mRNA in transfected,control and mock group were determined by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction.Cell profiferation was investigated on days 1 to 5 by using Cell Counting Kit-8 according to the manufature's technical manual.Cell invasion ability was assessed by Transwell method that transmembrane cells were counted,and cell bycle distribution were studied by flow cytometer(FCM) using CycleTESTTM PLUS DNA Reagent Kit.ResultsAfter the introduction of dsRNA into the A549 cells,the PTEN mRNA expressin was upregulated to (4.35 ±0.42) folds compared with the mock and control cells.And in H292 cells,the mRNA expression of PTEN was upregulated to (3.92 ± 0.20) folds.It confirmed the RNA activation phenomenon in the PTEN gene in NSCLC cells.Compared with the control group,the number of alive transfected cells did not decreased in the cell proliferation assay.In the cell invasion test we found that the transmembrane A549 cells were 122.4 ±11.2 vs.150.7 ±13.1 in transfected group and control group respectively.In the cell cycle distribution we found dsRNA in duced part ofthe transfected cells arrested in G1 phase and a corresponding decrease in S-phase population was observed,though this change was not statistically significant.Conclusion The expression of PTEN mRNA could by enhanced by inducing the specific dsRNA into the A549 and H292 cells,though no evidence was found that after the activation of silenced PTEN,the cell proliferation and invasion ability were significantly changed.

Objective To explore the status and influencing factors of the rescue posttraumatic growth of Chinese people' s armed forces soldiers in order to provide a new point of view for psychological intervention.Methods 424 soldiers who had executed earthquake rescue task were assessed with Posttraumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI),and the growth status between different groups were compared.Results (1) The average score of PTGI 21 items ranged from 2.72-3.72,and the score of most items were above 3,which implied the growth degree was between middle change and more change.8 items with highest score were focused on three dimensions which were labeled interpersonal relationship,appreciation of life and personal strength.(2) There was no significant difference between the total score of different rank groups (F=0.885,P＞0.05),which score were 3.43±0.66,3.50±0.62,3.50±0.79,3.30±1.11 respectively.The was significant difference in 4 dimensions and total score of PTGI between the group which had executed rescue task for more than 14 days and the other which had executed rescue task for less than 14 days,and the scores of the group which had executed rescue task for more than 14 days were higher (P＜0.05 or 0.01).Conclusion Almost all rescue soldiers perceives mental growth,such as the changes of interpersonal relationship,attitude of life,and personal strength particularly.The duration of rescue task might be a influencing factor of posttraumatic growth.

Objective To evaluate the safety of coronary intervention using iodixanol in patients with diabetic renal insufficiency.Methods Clinical data of 97 patients with diabetic renal insufficiency undergoing coronary intervention during June 2004 to June 2006 were retrospectively analyzed,50 of them with iodixanol,an iso-osmolar contrast medium (iodixanol group),and 47 with iopromide,a hypotanic contrast medium (iopromide group).Judkin's coronary angiography showed 167 diseased vessels in the patients,65 in anterior descending branches,44 in circumflex branches,and 58 in right coronary arteries. Levels of serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen were determined before percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI),on the day of the procedure,the 3rd and 7th days after PCI,respectively,as well as radiocontrast media-induced nephropathy (CIN) was observed.Results Totally,192 drug-eluting stents were successfully implanted in 167 diseased vessels,and all patients' angina pectoris symptom disappeared soon after the procedure,with a full success.No acute or subacute stent thrombosis and major adverse cardiac events (MACE) occurred.Two patients (4%) in iodixanol group and 10 (21%) in iopromide group got CIN,with a statistical significance (P
