Objective:To establish a rapid determination method of total VE in lycopene oleoresin.Method:By eliminating saponifiable matters and strong polar materials from the sample,VE was concentrated efficiently by PRP-6 SPE with 90% ethanol/water and 100% ethanol as elution solvents consecutively.The removal of polar materials was satisfactory.VE was determined by HPLC.Results:The linear regression was carried out,the relative coefficient r=0.9998 and 99.85～99.95 % recovery of VE were achieved.Conclusion:A simple and rapid VE determination method with good sensitivity is developed.

Objective To explore the relationship of methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR)gene C677T,factor V(FV)gene G1691A and prothrombin(PT)gene G20210A polymorphisms to unexplained recurrent early spontaneous abortion(URESA).Methods One hundred and twelve patients with URESA and 100 women with at least 1 normal pregnancy and without any miscarriage were analyzed for MTHFR,FV and PT gene polymorphisms by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP).Results MTHFR gene T/T genotype and T allele frequencies were increased in URESA patients[38.4%(43/112)and 59.8%(134/224)]versus controls[18.0%(18/100)and 43%(43/100),P

Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway plays an important role in the proliferation, growth, invasion, and metastasis of human cancers. Moreover, β-catenin/T-cell factor 4 (TCF4) interaction regulates the transcription of the key oncogenes in Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. Therefore, β-catenin/TCF4 interaction would be a promising therapeutic target for the development of highly selective anticancer agents. At present, most ongoing small-molecule inhibitors targeting β-catenin/TCF4 interaction, including PKF222-815, iCRT3/5/14, LF3, and sanguinarine, have been developed in preclinical studies for human cancer therapeutics. In this review, we summarized the research advances of up-to date inhibitors targeting β-catenin/TCF4 interaction, including the molecular structure and cellular functions of β-catenin in canonical Wnt signaling pathway. This review holds a hopeful avenue for the development of novel and highly selective Wnt inhibitors targeting β-catenin/TCF4 interaction for future anticancer strategy.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the etiology of Gan-qi inversion syndrome and Gan-qi stagnation syndrome, and to study the evocative mode of emotional diseases.

METHODSOne thousand and twenty-six subjects, engaged as workers, cadres, teachers and farmers, come from Qingdao City, Jinan City and Qingyun County were surveyed adopting the on-spot investigation.

RESULTSThe percentage of patients with Gan-qi inversion or stagnation syndrome caused by emotional internal injury was 53.9%; the emotional stimulations were primary the angry with compunction and the gloomy angry with grievance, secondly the unacquirable wishes, anxiety and grief.

CONCLUSIONEmotional stimulation is the main cause of Gan-qi inversion or stagnation syndromes, cross actions of several emotional factors directly impairing Gan is the main evocative mode of emotional diseases.

A total of 48 terminal cancer patients of Desheng Community were selected for developing life care,psychological support,pain relief and observations.As a result,the main symptoms of terminal cancer patients were alleviated.The average pain scores decreased from 5.6 ± 2.7 to 3.0 ± 2.4,average anxiety scores 14.2 ±6.8 to 6.3 ±3.0 and average depression scores 15.2 ±8.2 to 8.4 ±5.0.There were significant differences according to t-test (P ＜ 0.01).

Bioimprinting is a new developed technique to improve the characteristics of enzymes.Bioimprinting by lauric acid was conducted to improve the esterification activity of lipase PS in sol-gel immobilization process with methyltrimethoxysila(MTMS) and tetramethoxysila(TMOS) as the precursors.Results generated by checking the esterification activity and scanning electron microscope showed that bioimprinting can enhance the specific activity and thermal stability of lipase PS.The bioimprinting system was optimized by orthogonal experiment,and the optimal condition for lipase bioimprinting is water/silane molar ration(R) 12,polyethylene glycol(PEG) 120?l,and lauric acid 0.15 mmol.Compared with the free enzyme and the non-imprinted enzymes,the specific activity of imprinted enzymes has been improved 44.3 fold and 2.4 fold,respectively.Imprinted lipase show better thermal stability,and the relative activity is 58% after incubated in 80 ℃ for 0.5 h,while no activity was detected for the free enzyme.

Objective To evaluate the effect of low-dose colonic CT scanning in image quality and lesion revealing with different noise idex.Methods Model group:in order to find the optimal scanning parameter range,small simulated polyps in pig colon was prepared and mA was modulated by regulating noise index.Images were reprocessed with CT colonography and Raysum reconstructions.Image quality and the lesion revealing situation were evaluated and scored based on both reconstructive and axial images.The study of patient group was prospective and continuous.All positive cases were comfirmed by biopsy or surgery pathology.Two groups of patients were enrolled.First group(39 cases from January 2007 to June 2007):patients were divided into three sub-groups randomly(15 cages with NI=10,13 cases with NI:13,11 cases with NI=16),while NI was not changed with position.Second group(32 cases from Jury 2007 to January 2008):patients were scanned and NI was changed with different position(NI=10,20).The average X-ray radiation values of two patient groups were compared with standard values.All data were processed with rank sum tesL Results First group:when NI=10,the average scores of axial and constructive images were 4.2 and 2.4 respectively,when NI=13,those were 3.2 and 2.5 respectively,When NI=16.those were 2.9 and 2.7 respectively.and the average CTDlw were 17.51,12.90 and 5.94 mGy respectively.When NI increased,the average scores of axial decreased(H=20.01,P＜0.01),the average scores of constructive images did not changed(H=0.81,P＞0.05).Second group:when NI=10,the average scores of axial and constructive images were respectively 3.6 and 2.3,when NI=20,those were 2.2 and 2.3 respectively,and the average CTDIw was 11.63 mGy.When NI increased from 10 to 20,the average scores of axial decreased(H=20.84,P＜0.01),the average scores of constructive images did not decreased(H=0.29,P＞0.05).In the first group,the average CTDIw wag reduced by 35.0%,52.1%and 77.9%respectively when NI was 10,13 and 16.In the second group,the average CTDIw Was reduced by 56.8%.Conclusions Auto-mA low-dose CT scanning could reduce X-ray radiation obviously,while not affecting image quality.

Base on the traditional Chinese medicinal materials list that include Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China, Dao-di Herbs, the common used herbs, endangered species, to analyze the key-point investigation traditional Chinese medicinal materials list was analysed. Results displayed that the variety number of traditional Chinese medicinal materials in Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China is 894, the variety number of Dao-di Herbs is 495, the variety number of the common use is 326, the variety number of traditional Chinese medicinal materials from endangered species is 280, and during the third national survey of Chinese material medica resources the variety number of traditional Chinese medicinal materials that were analysed is 360. In the list of Dao-di Herbs and common used herbs over 85% are in the list of Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China, in the list of the common used herbs over 80% are in the list of Dao-di Herbs, in the list of Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China and Dao-di Herbs over 10% are in the list of endangered species. The key-point investigation traditional Chinese medicinal materials list includes three part, the first part includes 563 variery traditional Chinese medicinal materials that need to statistics quantity of resource by field investigation, the second part includes 457 variery that need to monitor the changing situation, the third part includes 280 variery that need to estimated endangered situation.

Objective To explore the effect of surgical treatment on primary gastrointestinal non-Hodgking lymphoma(NHL) in children.Methods Nine cases of clinical and follow-up data of primary gastrointestinal NHL were studied retrospectively to evaluate the effect of surgical treatment on primary gastrointestinal NHL in children.Results Seven cases were male and 2 cases were female.The mean age was(5.59?3.27)years old.The clinical manifestation included abdominal mass (7 cases),abdominal pain (5 cases),fever (2 cases),haematemesis and melena (2 cases),constipation (1 case) and paroxysmal abdominal pain with vomiting (1 case).Nine cases were diagnosed as primary gastrointestinal NHL,including 1 case of intussusception,1 case of acute appendicitis,2 cases of gastrointestinal obstruction,2 cases of gastrointestinal bleeding and 3 cases of abdominal mass.One case received the operation of intussusception reduction,tumor resection and intestinal anastomosis.One case received appendectomy.One case received the operation of tumor biopsy and transverse colon colostomy.Six cases received laparotomy.Six cases were diagnosed as Burkitt lymphoma.One case was anaplastic large cell lymphoma and 2 cases were diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.One case was at stage Ⅰ,1 case was at stage ⅠE,2 cases were at stage Ⅱ,3 cases were at stage ⅡE and 2 cases were at stage Ⅲ.Nine patients had received operation.One case died after operation and 8 cases had received combined chemotherapy.The 1 and 3 years survival rates were 75.0% and 37.5%,respectively.Conclusions Acute abdomen is often the first symptom of primary gastrointestinal NHL in children and comprehensive surgical treatment is an effective procedure for it.
