Objective To investigate the regulative effect of the extract of Radix Ranunculi Ternati,Radix Sophorae Flavescenti,Prunella vulgaris L.and Stellera chamaejasme L.on cellular immunity induced by multiple drugs resistant bacillus tuberculosis(MDR-TB) from pneumoconiosis patients complicated with tuberculosis in rats. Methods MDR-TB model in rats was induced by MDR-TB.Normal control group were feed by standard feed, model group were irrigated by normal saline, and the other groups were respectively feed by the extract of Chinese herbal medicines. The content of IFN-γ,IL-4,IL-10 and IL-12 were examined by ELISA.RT-PCR was used to detect the mRNA levels of them. Results The content of IFN-γof the four extracts of Chinese herbal medicines were (2.01 ±0.73 ),( 1.92±0.56),( 1.98 ±0.67 ) and (1.94±0.59) pg/ml,IL-4 were (6.01±1.46),(6.12±1.35),(6.47±1.46) and (6.15±1.44) pg/ml,IL-10 were (12.09±3.07),( 12.45±4.01 ),( 12.13±3.43) and (12.54±3.78) pg/ml,IL-12 were (2.99±0.89),(2.75±0.84),(3.02±0.86) and (2.89±0.75) pg/ml.Compared to the model group, they resulted in significant in serum IFN-γ,IL-12,IL-4 and IL-10 (P<0.05 or P<0.01 ),the mRNA levels of them were significantly (P<0.05 or P<0.01 ).Conclusion The four extracts of Chinese herbal medicines can enhance the cellar immunological function in rats from up-regulation of the level of genetic transcription, accordingly provide the theory base of healing of pneumoconiosis patients complicated with tuberculosis with them.

Microbiology 1992;0(01):-
Obtaining soil bacterial DNA of good quality is a key step in soil bacterial ecology study.A quick, efficient, sensitive and stably method of DNA extraction from soil were established by combining strongpoints of two kits(Soilmaster kit and DNA IQ~(TM)kit). In addition, the 16S rDNA gene and T-RFLP(Terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism)were used in the analysis of soil bacterial community diversity and the result show that T-RFLP is a powerful tool for bacterial community study.

Objective To investigate the anti-tumor effects of hydroxycamptothecin ( HCPT ) with different lactone ratios on the mice models of H22 hepatoma. Methods Mice models of H22 hepatoma were established. Tumor inhibiting rates of HCPT with different lactone ratios ( 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) and the growth status of model mice before and after chemotherapy were observed. Serum biochemical indices were determined to investigate the effects of HCPT with different lactone ratios on hepatic and renal function of the mice. Results Positive control drug and HCPT with different lactone ratios all inhibited the tumor in mice with H22 hepatoma, the inhibition rate was 65. 30%, 12. 57%, 49. 23%, 75. 47%, 90. 06% and 93. 22%, respectively. Compared with the model control group, the living conditions of the mice in HCPT groups were improved. With increasing of lactone ratios, the hepatic injury was alleviated markedly, but the renal injury was aggravated. Conclusion There is a positive correlation between lactone ratios and its anti-tumor effect, and HCPT with 75% lactone can achieve preferable anti-tumor effect with less toxicity as compared with that with 100% lactone ratio.

Objective To summarize the experience in application of the bovine jugular vein valved conduct in right ventricular outflow tract (ROVT) reconstruction. Methods Totally 14 patients [6 male, (6.3?5.4) years old] underwent ROVT reconstruction from February 2004 to March 2005 was recorded, and the function of the implanted bovine jugular vein valved conduit was evaluated by Doppler echocardiography one month later after operation. Results There was no perioperative morbidity related to the bovine jugular vein valved conduit. 14 patients were discharged well. One month after operation, echocardiography showed that reconstructed ROVT was patent, and only four implanted conduits had mild regurgition. Conclusion The bovine jugular vein valved conduit provides the favorable hemodynamic performance and thus could be an excellent substitute for the homograft in the reconstruction of ROVT. The mid- and long-term outcomes required further study.

OBJECTIVETo investigate effects of the variation of immune function in high humidity environment in different time, and lay a foundation for further study of the related mechanism.
METHODThirty SD rats were divided into 3 groups (n = 10): 20 day group, 40 day group in 90% relative humidity chamber and control group in normal relative humidity. Peripheral blood and spleens were collected to detect the levels of T lymphocyte subsets by Flow Cytometery.
RESULTSIn peripheral blood of the 20 day group rats, the CD3+ %, CD4+ %, CD8+ % and CD4+/CD8+ were 52.91 +/- 6.27, 37.80 +/- 4.11, 14.85 +/- 3.73 and 2.72 +/- 0.82 separately. Expect CD3+ %, they all had significant differences (P < 0.05). In addition, the data of the 40 day group rats showed no diversity in statistics. In spleen, CD8+ % of the 20 day group rats was 6.23 +/- 2.87 with significant differences (P < 0.05) and IgG, IgA and IgM did not change a lot in blood serum of the high humidity groups except C3 of the 20 days group (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONIn high humidity environment, the immune function of the rats increased in the initial stage. As time went on, the immune function gradually went to normal level through the self adjustment.

West China Journal of Stomatology 2015;33(4):405-408
OBJECTIVETo explore the impact of titanium implant on the growth and development of pediatric mandible after suffering from mandibular fracture and undergoing open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) compared with those that underwent titanium plate removal postoperatively.
METHODSFifteen pediatric patients with mandibular fracture who underwent ORIF were included in this study. Eight patients did not undergo titanium implant removal postoperatively, whereas the other seven patients underwent the routine. The postoperative data of the pediatrics were collected for comparative analysis by taking the patients' frontal and lateral photos, recording the inter-incisor distance, and measuring the height of mandibular ramus, length of the mandibular body, and combined length of the mandible in three-dimensional reconstruction image.
RESULTSAll patients had acceptable facial contour, mouth opening, and occlusion, without obvious abnormalities. The radiography showed no significant difference between the bilateral mandibular lengths in the two groups of patients (P>0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe titanium plants have no significant impact on the growth and development of pediatric mandible postoperatively; hence, the question on whether the titanium plates should be removed or not may be neglected. The removal operation may lead to secondary trauma; thus, performing titanium plate removal routinely is not recommended.
