Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of Xuefu Zhuyu decoction as an adjuvant chemotherapy in patients with advanced cervical cancer. Methods This study recruited advanced cervical cancer patients who underwent TP regimen(paclitaxel+cisplatin)chemotherapy in Luzhou District People's Hospital in Changzhi City from January 2019 to January 2021.According to the random number table method, patients with advanced cervical cancer were divided into a control group(treated with TP regimen)and an test group(treated with TP regimen combined with Xuefu Zhuyu decoction). The serum tumor marker levels(carcinoembryonic antigen, squamous cell carcinoma antigen and carbohydrate antigen 125),traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores and clinical efficacy[objective response rate, disease control rate and overall survival time]between two groups of patients were observed and compared. The occurrence of adverse drug reactions was assessed according to the Common Terminology Standard for Adverse Events(CTCAE 4.03).Results A total of 92 cases of advanced cervical cancer were included in this study, with 46 cases in each group. Before treatment, there was no significant statistical difference in the serum tumor marker levels and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores between the control group and the test group with advanced cervical cancer(P>0.05).After treatment, the serum tumor marker levels and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the test group and the control group significantly decreased compared to before(P<0.05),and they were significantly lower in the test group than those in the control group(P<0.05).In terms of clinical efficacy, there was no significant difference in objective response rate between two groups(P>0.05),while the disease control rate and median overall survival time of the test group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).In terms of safety,no fatal adverse events were observed, and most adverse events were mild and controllable. In addition, there was no significant difference in the incidence of nausea and vomiting, anemia, thrombocytopenia and renal dysfunction between two groups(P>0.05),while the incidence of leukopenia and liver function injury in the test group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Xuefu Zhuyu decoction can significantly improve the efficacy of chemotherapy patients with advanced cervical cancer, reduce serum tumor marker expression levels, improve traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, increase disease control rate, prolong overall survival, and has high safety.

PURPOSE: To investigate the prevalence of spina bifida occulta (SBO) and its relationship with the presence of overactive bladder (OAB) in middle-aged and elderly people in China. METHODS: A cross-sectional community-based survey was carried out at 7 communities in Zhengzhou City, China from December 15, 2013 to June 10, 2014, where residents aged over 40 years were randomly selected to participate. All of the participants underwent lumbosacral radiographic analysis and relevant laboratory tests. A questionnaire including basic information, past medical history and present illness, and the OAB symptom score was filled out by all participants. Chi-square tests and logistic regression were used for data analysis with a P-value of <0.05 denoting statistical significance. RESULTS: A total of 1,061 subjects were qualified for the final statistical analysis (58.8±11.7 years; male, 471 [44.4%]; female, 590 [55.6%]). The overall prevalence of SBO was 15.1% (160 of 1,061): 18.3% (86 of 471) in men and 12.5% (74 of 590) in women. Among these subjects, 13.7% (145 of 1,061) had OAB: 13.2% (62 of 471) in men and 14.1% (83 of 590) in women. The results of logistic regression showed that age, SBO, history of cerebral infarction (HCI), and constipation were risk factors for OAB (P<0.05), while sex, history of childhood enuresis (HCE), body mass index (BMI), and diabetes mellitus (DM) were not (P>0.05). In men, age, SBO, and constipation were risk factors for OAB (P<0.05), while HCE, BMI, DM, HCI, and benign prostate hyperplasia were not (P>0.05). In women, age, SBO, and HCI were risk factors for OAB (P<0.05), while HCE, BMI, DM, vaginal delivery, and constipation were not (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The prevalence of SBO is high and it is related to OAB in middle-aged and elderly people in China.

Objective: To investigate the molecular characteristics of ciprofloxacin-cefotaxime-azithromycin co-resistant Salmonella enterica serovar Thompson (S. Thompson) isolates from sporadic cases of foodborne diseases and aquatic foods in Hunan province. Methods: Ciprofloxacin-cefotaxime-azithromycin co-resistant S. Thompson isolates were selected from samples, and broth microdilution method was used to determine the resistance to 11 antibiotics of these isolates in vitro. Whole genome sequencing was used for investigating antimicrobial resistance gene patterns and phylogenetic relationships of strains. Results: Nine ciprofloxacin-cefotaxime-azithromycin co-resistant isolates were recovered from 19 S. Thompson isolates. Among nine ciprofloxacin-cefotaxime-azithromycin co-resistant isolates, eight of them harbored IncC plasmids, simultaneously carrying plasmid-mediated quinolone resistance (PMQR) genes qepA and qnrS1, β-lactamase resistance gene blaCMY-2, azithromycin resistance gene mph(A), and one isolate harbored IncR plasmid, and carried PMQR genes qnrB4 and aac(6')-Ib-cr, blaOXA-10 and mph(A). Genetic environment analysis showed that qnrS1, qepA, mph(A) and blaCMY-2 genes might be integrated on genomes of strains by ISKra4, IS91, IS6100 and ISEcp1, respectively. Phylogenetic core genome comparisons demonstrated that ciprofloxacin-cefotaxime-azithromycin co-resistant isolates from patients and aquatic foods were genetically similar and clustered together. Conclusion: Ciprofloxacin-cefotaxime-azithromycin co-resistant S. Thompson isolates have been isolated from both human and aquatic food samples, suggesting that the spread of multidrug resistant Salmonella between human and aquatic animals.

Ten isoprenylated flavonoids were isolated from 95% ethanol extraction of Artocarpus heterophyllus, with a combination of various chromatographic approaches, including ODS, MCI, CHP-20 P, Sephadex LH-20 and high performance liquid chromatography. On the basis of physic-chemical characters and spectroscopic data analysis, these compounds were identified as artoheteroid E (1), cycloheterophyllin (2), artelastoxanthone (3), artoindonesianin Q (4), cudraflavone C (5), 8-(γ,γ-dimethylallyl)-5,2',4'-trihydroxy-7-methoxyflavone (6), kuwanon T (7), 6-(3-methylbut-2-enyl) apigenin (8), 5,7,2',4'-tetrahydroxy-6-(3-methylbut-3-enyl) flavone (9), albanin A (10). Among them, compound 1 is a new one, while compounds 2-4 were isolated for the first time from the plant of Artocarpus heterophyllus. All isolated compounds were screened for their inhibitory abilities against cathepsin K. Of them, compounds 3-5, 7 and 10 showed inhibitory effects with the IC50 values of 0.9, 1.6, 4.5, 24.5 and 63.5 μmol·L-1, respectively.

SARS-CoV-2 has infected more than 600 million people worldwide and caused more than 6 million deaths. The emerging novel variants have made the epidemic rebound in many places. Meteorological factors can affect the epidemic spread by changing virus activity, transmission dynamic parameters and host susceptibility. This paper systematically analyzed the currently available laboratory and epidemiological studies on the association between the meteorological factors and COVID-19 incidence, in order to provide scientific evidence for future epidemic control and prevention, as well as developing early warning system.
