Aim The effect of polysaccharide of spirulina on mouse myelosuppression induced by cyclophosphamide was studied. Methods Mice in the model, treatment groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ were given cyclophosphamide(ip 100 mg · kg- 1) for there days. At the same time mice in the treatment groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ were given ig spirulin 30 mg · kg-1 and 60 mg · kg-1 for ten days, while mice in the control group and model group were given ip 20 mg · kg-1 of NS. Peripheral blood and marrow cytometry, micromcelsus and chromosome aberration were analyed. Results In the dosages of 30 and 60 mg · kg-1 polysaccharide of spirulina, the polysaccharide of spirulina had perfect action on the perihemateikon and the function of bone hematoplast induced by cyclophosphamide(P <0.01) and antagonistic action on increase of bone cell micronuclsus(P<0.05); The ratio of chromosome aberration in the treated group was lower compared with that in the model group. The inhibitory ratio was 51.2% and 62.5% in the treated groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ .Conclusion Polysaccharide of spirulina can perfect the hematoplast function of mice injured by cyclophosphamide.

Objective:Three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound (US) is increasingly being introduced in the clinic, both for diagnostics and image guidance.Although dedicated 3D US probes exist, because of its expensive cost,3D US can also be acquired with the still frequently used two-dimensional (2D) US probes. Methods:Obtaining 3D volumes with 2D US probes is a two-step process.First,a positioning sensor must be attached to the probe for 2D image matching;second,a reconstruction of a 3D volume can be performed into a regular voxel grid. Results:This paper presents a way to realize the 3D US in irled-based Image Guided Radiotherapy using a homemade 2D US.Conclusions:The experiments demonstrate a method of saving costs and having advantages in clinic application.

Objective To study the cause and treatment of chronic instability of the elbow. Methods Between August 1998 and August 2002,12 patients with chronic instability of the elbow were treated in our de- partment:They underwent complete medical check-ups and imaging examinations.Surgical exploration was done to determine the causes of their conditions.Their radial and(or)ulnar collateral ligaments were repaired respectively or simultaneously through the medial and lateral approaches for all the patients. All the patients were followed up for two to six years, with an average of three years. Results The follow-ups revealed no recurrent dislocation of elbow in this group. The stress valgus test and lateral pivot shift test(PST)were negative for all the patients. No elbow pain occurred. The mean flexion and extension of elbow ranged from 0 to 135?.The mean pronation was 85?and mean supination 80?.According the evaluation system of Chinese Medical Association, eight cases were rated as excellent and four as fine, with the excellent and fine rate of 100%.Conclusions Lesions of radial and(or) ulnar collateral ligaments are the major cause for chronic instability of the elbow.Surgical reconstruction of the collateral ligaments can obtain good effects in treatment of recurrent dislocation of the elbow.

Measuring the content of soluble reducing sugar, total sugar, soluble protein, guanosine, alkaloids, and succinic acid of Pinellia ternata tuber were measured by anthrone-sulfuric acid colorimetric method, Coomassie brilliant blue method, RP-HPLC, reverse potentiometric titration, acid dye colorimetry, respectively. The result showed that yellow light could promote the growth and development of P. ternata and increase the content of soluble reducing sugar, total sugar, alkaloids, and succinic acid. Under blue light could promote the content of soluble protein and guanosine. Red and yellow light increased the content of chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b, contrastively blue light reduced the content of chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b. White film through the most uniform spectrum was most conducive to the synthesis of chlorophyll a. As single film, blue film, yellow film were more conducive to the synthesis of chlorophyll a, green film and red film had been relatively beneficial to the synthesis of chlorophyll b. Bulbil formed the largest number and the biggest propagation coefficient of P. ternata under red light showed that it could increase the production of P. ternata under red light.
