Objective To study the histocompatibility of domestic new type nitinol alloy ventricular septal defect(VSD) occluder in order to test the feasibility for clinical application.Methods The domestic new type nitinol alloy VSD occluder was inserted into 20 healthy dogs with intravenous balanced anesthesia and tracheal intubation,assisted by animal breathing machine respiration.The dogs were given oral antibiotic and would be killed in several months after operation.According to different slaughter time(1,2,3,6 months),they were divided into 4 sections and including 5 dogs in each section.The occluder sites,the intimal coverage and the change of inflammatory cells were observed through gross anatomy,with the help of the light microscope and electron microscope.SPSS 11.0 software was used to analyze the data.Results The thickness of the endocardial enhanced with the time(P

[Objective]To summarize clinical experience of Pemberton's ilium osteotomy in developing hip dislocation and emphasize the combined and individual principles in the clinical practice. [Methods]From February 1996 to April 2007,26 patients(aged 3 to 10 years) with 28 hips were operated on together with soft tissue solution,a pericapsular osteotomy of the ilium (Pemberton) and an optional femoral rotational,shortening or varus osteotomy of the proximal femur. Pre-and post-operative indexes including those of AI angle,CE angle and deep of acetabulum were compared. According to Severin's classification and McKay clinical curative effect evaluation critera,these indexes were evaluated.[Results]According to the Severin's classification,the results were rated as 64.3% excellent,28.6% good and 7.1% fair.On the McKay's critera ,the functional results were graded as 50.0% excellent,35.8% good,7.1% fair and 7.1% poor. On the whole,the radiographic evaluation was superior to that of the functional results.[Conclusion]The Pemberton's osteotomy is safe and effective.The combined surgical treatment can improve the success rate and decrease complications.

OTX1 gene is one of the pivotal transcriptional factors involved in the neurogenesis.In order to overexpress the OTX1 gene in distinct cell types and find out its contribution to the proliferation and differentiation of stem cells in vitro,OTX1 cDNA was subcloned into lentiviral vectors.The resulting constructions pDUETOTX1,pDUETGFPOTX1 and pDUETGFP were packaged in 293 cells producing viral particles to transduce 293T cells,SY5Y cells,mouse embryonic stem cells and E15 neural stem cells.It was proved that the transferred OTX1 gene was located in the nuclei of the transduced cells in stead of plasma.Lentivirus is an ideal vector delivering gene to different cells.The overexpression of OTX1 in transduced 293T cells were validated by Western blot and immunofluorescence.

Agricultural Microbiology is a professional foundation curriculum for biology,botany and envi-ronmental majors in agricultural universities.After 1999,with the increase enrollment of the national under-graduate education and rapid construction of the university,the number of majors and students increased rapidly and quality of students and talent demand of society changed dramatically.Under such condition,in order to meet the society demand of microbiology,according to the distinguishing feature of different major groups,based on strengthening the basis teaching and stretching application teaching,new curriculum teaching model and method were explored positively,and then new curriculum system was constructed.Be-ing aroused sufficiently of the students’ subjective initiative,both the teaching quality and comprehensive quality were improved.

In this study, a composite cell model for evaluation of idiosyncratic drug-induced liver injury (IDILI) was established in vitro from the perspective of immune inflammation. And this model was used to evaluate the risk of IDILI for 2,3,5,4'-tetrahydroxy-cis-stilbene-2-O-β-glucoside (Cis-SG) and 2,3,5,4'-tetrahydroxy-trans-stilbene-2-O-β-glucoside (Trans-SG). To determine the low, medium, and high dosage of Cis-SG and Trans-SG, CellTiter-Glo^® 3D Cell Viability Assay was used to detect the effects of Cis-SG and Trans-SG on cell viability of HepG2 cells in three dimensional (3D) culture, and MTT assay was used to detect the effects of Cis-SG and Trans-SG on cell viability of THP-1 derived macrophages. THP-1 derived macrophages were incubated by Cis-SG and Trans-SG directly or supernatants from HepG2 cells incubated with them. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect the levels of interleukin-1β (IL-1β) in the supernatants of the THP-1 derived macrophages. Western blot and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) were used to determine the expression of apoptosis-associated speck-like protein (ASC), Nod-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3), cysteinyl aspartate specific proteinase-1 (caspase-1), and IL-1β in THP-1 derived macrophages. The results showed that there was no effect on the secretion of IL-1β in THP-1 derived macrophages incubated by Cis-SG and Trans-SG directly. However, the secretion of IL-1β, the protein and mRNA expression of ASC, NLRP3, caspase-1, and IL-1β significantly increased in THP-1 derived macrophages incubated by supernatants from HepG2 cells incubated with 1, 5, and 25 μmol·L^-1 Cis-SG or 25 μmol·L^-1 Trans-SG. In summary, the composite cell model for evaluation of IDILI established in vitro has been successfully applied in testing Cis-SG and Trans-SG. This composite cell model is helpful to evaluate and screen drugs with IDILI risk in vitro preliminarily, which provides methods for predicting and solving the idiosyncratic liver toxicity of drugs.

Objective To assess the value of integrated 18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/CT in differentiation of malignant and benign pericardial effusion. Methods 18F-FDG PET/CT were performed in 23 patients with pericardial effusion. The detected soft tissue tumor or nodulous lession in pericardium or the thickened pericardium, with the maximum standardized uptake value( SUVmax ) ≥2.5, was defined as PET/CT-positive. The invaded lession in pericardium with SUVmax ≥2.5 was also as the positive. The difference of SUVmax of benign and malignant lesions was analyzed with two-independent-sample test of nonparametric tests. The final diagnosis was confirmed by biopsy or post-operative pathology. Results The diagnosis were confirmed with 14 malignant and 9 benign lesions. The median of SUVmax was 6.0 in malignancy group and 2.2 in benign group (z= -3. 279, P =0.001 ). According to the pathology results, there were one false negative case and two false positive cases with PET/CT imaging interpretation. The sensitivity, specificity,accuracy, positive predictive value ( PPV ) and negative predictive value ( NPV ) of 18 F-FDG PET/CT in diagnosis of benignity or malignance of pericardium effusion were 92.9% ( 13/14), 7/9, 87.0% (20/23),86.7% (13/15) and 7/8, respectively. Conclusion For the patients with pericardium effusion 18F-FDG PET/CT may be a helpful modality for malignancy differentiation

Objective To analyze the clinical and pathological characteristics of children with lupus nephritis(LN).Methods Ninety-one children with LN were diagnosed from 1993 to 2005,according to the clinical literature and renal pathology and the data were retrospectively summarized.Results Within the cohort of 91 children,there were 69 females and 22 males(female to male ratio 3.1).Most of the sick children were at the school age ranging from 6.0 to 15.5 years old.Nephrotic syndrome(44.0%) was the most common clinical manifestation.Fifty-nine renal biopsies were performed.Class Ⅳ LN(59.3%) was the most frequent pathological findings."A full-house pattern" on immunofluorescence was found in 72.0% of biopsies.The clinical and pathological manifestations of some children were atypical.There were 3 patients characterized by predominant deposits of immunoglobulin M(IgM),1 patient with predominant deposits of IgA,and 2 children with pauci-immune LN.Three children with class Ⅱ LN in our study presented with nephrotic syndrome.LN was initially controlled by aggressive treatment in 93.7% of thse patients.Relapses of nephritis covered 27.1% of them,mostly caused by the intermittent treatment.Conclusions The clinical and pathological manifestations of LN were variable.Some atypical LN was considered to be associated with the distinct pathogenesis.Most of LN could be controlled by aggressive treatment.Long and regular treatment is necessary to improve the prognosis of LN.

Objective:To investigate the effectiveness of irbesartan in combination with ramipril for treatment of chronic heart failure in patients with rheumatic heart disease(RHD).Methods:A total of 120 RHD patients with chronic heart failure were randomized into treatment group(n=60)and control group(n=60)after valve replacement.All patients received regular ramipril treatment(5 mg/d);treatment group were also given irbesartan(150 mg/d).The patients were followed up for 6 months.The indices of observation included cardiac function(NYHA Class),6-Minute Hall Walk distance,and echocardiographie parameters.Results:Six months later the cardiac function in the treatment group was obviously improved compared with the control group;the patients in the treatment group had significant increase in 6-Minute Hall-Walk distance and improvement in echocardiographic parameters(left ventricle end-systolic diameters,end-diastolic diameter,ejection fraction, fractional shortening,P
