Objective To evaluate the value of color Doppler ultrasonography in the diagnosis of laryngeal carcinoma. Methods Thirty-six cases of laryngeal carcinoma were typed and staged by color Doppler ultrasonography and compared with the findings of laryngoscopy and postsurgical pathology.Results The typing accurate rate of color Doppler ultrasonography to laryngeal carcinoma was 100%. The staging accurate rate of color Doppler ultrasonography to laryngeal carcinoma was T 1 77.8%, T 2 94.2%, T 3-T 4 100%, respectively. Color Doppler flow imaging showed irregular signals of blood stream in the interior and the circumference of the tumor and signals of perforating blood stream in the interior of the tumor. Artery flow spectrum was showed by pulse wave Doppler. Conclusions Color Doppler ultrasonography can apparently improves accuracy of staging to laryngeal carcinoma and is quite important in choosing clinical therapy of laryngeal carcinoma.

Objective To evaluate the effect of various kinds of dyslipidaemia on insulin resistance and pancreatic islet ? cell function in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients. Methods 263 patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes were divided into normal lipidemia group and dyslipidaemia group according to ATPⅢ standard. The dyslipidaemia group included 3 subgroups as the following: high TG group, high TC group, and mix group with high TG and TC. Homeostasis model assessment (HOMA) was applied to estimate insulin resistance (IR) and pancreatic islet ? cell function. Early insulin secretion index (EISI) and area under curve of insulin (AUCI) at all OGTT time points were calculated. Results Incidence of dyslipidaemia in the type 2 diabetic patients was 63%. ObjectivesTo assess the cardiovascular function in obese children.MethodsA total of 30 obese children and 50 age- and sex-matched normal weight children were enrolled and treadmill test was performed. Exercise tolerance, the time to target heart rate and continuous T-wave alternans (TWA) during treadmill test were compared between two groups. ResultsCompared with normal weight children, the exercise tolerance was decreased and the time to target heart rate was shortened, while the incidence of continuous TWA was increased in obese children and there was signiifcant difference between two groups (P<0.01).ConclusionsObesity may lead to cardiovascular dysfunction in childhood which should be concerned.

AIM: To investigate the difference of cognitive impairment and depression between age-related macular degeneration ( AMD ) group and the control group patients. ·METHODS: A prospective case-control study was performed from November 2014 to August 2016 in the hospital for AMD patients and sex-matched control group. The Mini-Mental State Examination ( MMSE) and the Geriatric Depression Scale ( GDS ) score of each patient were collected for statistical analyzing. ·RESULTS: There were total 84 cases ( 168 eyes ) included in the study. The difference of visual acuity between the two group was statistically significant ( F=8. 953, P=0. 004) by baseline data analyzing. There were no significant differences in MMSE scores between the two groups according to educational status ( P>0. 05 ) , while the prevalence of cognitive impairment in each group was statistically significant (x2 =4. 14, P=0. 042). The difference of GDS scores, prevalence of total and mild depression between two groups were both statistically significant (F=5. 852, P=0. 018; x2=6. 372, P=0. 012; x2 = 5. 674, P = 0. 017 ). However, there was no statistically significant difference in the prevalence of moderate to severe depression (x2=0. 672, P=0. 412). ·CONCLUSION: AMD patients have a higher prevalence of depression. Although MMSE score differences were not statistically significant in subgroup analysis by educational levels, AMD patients are more likely to have cognitive impairment overall.

Objective To study the correlation between laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) and voice disorders . Methods One hundred and three patients with reflux -related symptoms were recruited .The patients were evalu-ated with reflux symptom index (RSI) ,reflux finding score (RFS) evaluation and 24-hour dural-probe pH moni-toring .Eighty -nine cases with voice disorders were divided into 5 groups :vocal process granuloma (n=18) chron-ic pharyngolaryngitis (n=19) ,vocal polyps (n=15) ,vocal fold leukoplakia (n=21) and Reinke's edema (n=16) . The other 14 patients without voice disorders were the control subjects .Results According 24-hour dural -probe pH monitoring assessments ,48 .3% of the patients with voice disorders showed LPR positive .The positive rate in the vocal fold leukoplakia group (71 .4% ) and Reinke's edema group (75 .0% ) were significantly higher than the control group (35 .7% ) .RSI and RFS of the patients with Reinke's edema were both significantly higher than the control group(P=0 .020 ,P=0 .009) .RSI of the patients with chronic pharyngolaryngitis were significantly higher than the control group (P=0 .019) .The acid reflux episodes ,acid reflux time which except in the supine position of the vocal fold leukoplakia group were significantly higher than the control group .The acid reflux episodes ,acid ex-posure and acid reflux time which all except in the supine position of the Reinke's edema group were significantly higher than the control group .Conclusion The correlations between Reinke's edema ,vocal fold leukoplakia and LPR were stronger .In these two groups ,the acid reflux episodes were higher and acid reflux times were longer .

objective To investigate the ability of insulin sensitivity index HOMA2-%S and secretion function index HOMA2-%B calculated by HOMA2,the new homeostasis model assessment,in clinical application. Methods Eighty female volunteers with polycystic ovary syndrome in Chongqing area [50 subjects with normal glucose tolerance(NGT group)and 30 subjects with impaired glucose regulation(IGR group)]were involved in this study.Thev underwent a 75 g oral glucose tolerance test(OGTF)and the Botnia clamp test. From the data of faming blood samples in OGTF,insulin sensitivity index HOMAI-ISI,secretion function index HOMAl-β and disposal index DI-HOMA1 were calculated by the old homeostasis model assessment(HOMA I),meanwhile insulin sensitivity index HOMA2-%S,secretion function index HOMA2-%B and disposal index(DI-HOMA2) were caleulated by the new homeostasis model assessment (HOMA2).Correlation coefficients between insulin sensitivity index and GIR (the glucose infusion rate at steady state of Botnia clamp test),and between insulin secretion function index and AIR(the acute insulin response in Botnia clamp test),were studied.Results The Pearson's linear correlation coefficient between HOMA2-%S and GIR(r=0.503),HOMA1-ISI and HOMA2-%S (r= 0.990).HOMA2-%B and AIR(r=0.382),HOMA1-B and HOMA2-%B(r=0.976) were all statistically significant(a11 P<0.01).The glucose disposal indexes calculated from the HOMA2 and HOMA1 of 1GR group were significantly lower than those from the NGT group(t=2.825,P<0.Ol;t=2.222,P<0.05). Conclusion The HOMA2 is a better model in evaluating the insulin sensitivity and secretion function and is recommended to be widely used in clinical evaluation.

The effective quality control in clinical practices is an effective guarantee for the authenticity and scientificity of the findings. The post-marketing reevaluation for traditional Chinese medicines (TCM) focuses on the efficacy, adverse reaction, combined medication and effective dose of drugs in the market by expanded clinical trials, and requires a larger sample size and a wider range of patients. Therefore, this increases the difficulty of quality control in clinical practices. With the experience in quality control in clinical practices for the post-marketing reevaluation for Kangbingdu oral for cold, researchers in this study reviewed the study purpose, project, scheme design and clinical practice process from an overall point of view, analyzed the study characteristics of the post-marketing reevaluation for TCMs and the quality control risks, designed the quality control contents with quality impacting factors, defined key review contents and summarized the precautions in clinical practices, with the aim to improve the efficiency of quality control of clinical practices. This study can provide reference to clinical units and quality control-related personnel in the post-marketing reevaluation for TCMs.

To investigate the curative effect of minimally invasive sclera buckling on single retinal detachment.METHODS:Totally, 100 cases of patients with retinal detachment ( 106 eyes ) enrolled in our hospital were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 53 eyes in each group. Patients in observation group were treated with minimally invasive sclera buckling, while patients in control group received traditional limbal conjunctival incision. After surgery, patients were all followed up for 6 ~18mo, during which the retinal recurrence situation, degree of vision enhancement and compliance occurrence rate was recorded. RESULTS: The retinal reattachment rate once of observation group (96. 22%) was significantly higher than that of control group (88. 68%), there was statistically significance (P<0. 05). The vision enhancement rate of observation group (84. 90%) was significantly higher than that of control group (71. 70%), there was statistically significance (P<0. 05). The compliance occurrence rate of observation group (11. 32%) was significantly lower than that of control group (32. 08%), there was statistically significance (P<0. 05).CONCLUSlON: The improved minimally invasive sclera buckling can significantly enhance the curative effect for retinal detachment, decrease the compliance occurrence rate, improve vision function, and is a scientific, practical and rigorous tool for retinal detachment treatment.
