OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for rational use of antibiotics to treat Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA) infection in the clinic. METHODS:Resistant rate of PA in our hospital during 2011-2015 were analyzed retrospectively. Antibiotics use densi-ty(AUD)of 10 commonly used antibiotics were analyzed statistically, and the correlation of resistant rate with AUD was investi-gated by Spearman correlation analysis. RESULTS:One thousaud and eleven strains of PA were isolated in our hospital during 2011-2014,detection rate of PA always occupied the top 5 place. Top 3 antibiotics in the list of AUD were levofloxacin,ceftazi-dime,cefoperazone sodium and tazobactam sodium. AUD of piperacillin sodium and tazobactam sodium,levofloxacin,ciprofloxa-cin and meropenem were positively correlated with resistant rate of PA(r were 1.000,0.900,1.000,1.000,P<0.05). AUD of ce-foperazone sodium and tazobactam sodium were negatively correlated with resistant rate of PA(r=-0.900,P<0.05). AUD of imi-penem and cilastatin sodium, ceftazidime, gentamicin, aztreonam and amikacin had no correlation with resistant rate of PA(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:There is correlation between AUD of antibiotics and resistant rate of PA. It is of important significance to detect resistant rate of PA and the use of antibiotics regularly. Antibiotics should be selected cautiously in accordance with bacterial monitoring data, results of drug sensitivity tests, the amount and resistant rate of antibiotics, etc,in order to reduce resistant PA.

Objective To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in adult residents of Shanghai Pudong New Area. Methods A total of 5584 residents aged 20-80 years old were randomly selected from Shanghai Pudong New Area through multistage sampling and interview between April and July 2008. Fasting blood samples and morning urine samples were collected to detect Scr and urinary albumin and creatinine. Urine albumin to creatinine ratio (ACR) and glomerular filtration rate (GFR) was calculated to estimate the renal function. Logistic regression model was used to examine the associations of demographic and lifestyle factors with indicators of kidney damage. Results The age-standardized prevalence of albuminuria, reduced renal function and CKD was 9.9% (male 8.0%, female 12.4%), 1.1% (male 1.3%, female 0.9%) and 11.0%(male 8.8%, female 12.7%), respectively. The prevalence of CKD was higher in female and increased with age. No significant difference in the prevalence was observed between urban and rural areas. Elder, female, high blood pressure, high fasting glucose, dyslipidemia and obesity were associated with CKD independently. Conclusions The prevalence of CKD in Shanghai Pudong New Area is comparable to that previously reported in China or other developed countries, and even higher. CKD is going to be a public health problem and warrants the community-integrated control strategy to prevent the incidence of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and related complications.

Chinese Journal of Oncology 2012;34(3):205-209
OBJECTIVETo detect the expression of phosphorylated girdin (p-girdin) in breast cancer and its association with pathological characteristics and molecular subtypes of breast cancer.
METHODSImmunohistochemical SP staining was used to investigate the expression of p-girdin in 27 cases of lobular hyperplasia of mammary gland, 61 cases of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), and 94 cases of non-special type invasive carcinoma (IDC-NOS) of breast.
RESULTSp-girdin was located in the cell cytoplasm and (or) nuclei in breast cancer. There was statistically a very significant difference among lobular hyperplasia, DCIS and IDC-NOS (χ2=26.724, P<0.001). Its cytoplasmic and nuclear reactivity were 25.9% (7/27), 39.3% (24/61), and 66.0% (62/94), respectively. The expression of p-girdin was positively associated with pathologic stage (r=0.204, P=0.049), lymph node metastasis (r=0.212, P=0.041) and HER2/neu (r=0.248, P=0.016). But no significant association was identified between p-girdin expression and histological grade (r=-0.015, P=0.918), age of patients (r=-0.011, P=0.918), tumor size (r=0.075, P=0.471), ER(r=0.071, P=0.498), PR (r=-0.050, P=0.634). Mann-Whitney test showed that p-girdin expression in luminal A, luminal B, triple negative and HER-2(+) type was significantly different (χ2=14.017, P=0.003). Among the four types, its positive rate was 55.8% (24/43), 95.8% (23/24), 66.7% (10/15), and 41.7% (5/12), respectively.
CONCLUSIONSp-Girdin expression is closely correlated with the malignant progression of breast cancer. Its expression may have clinical value as a new target for the treatment of breast cancer.
