Methods 105 patients with cerebral infarction were divided into 3 groups with 35 cases in each group. The comprehensive rehabilitation group received routine rehabilitation and electroacupuncture therapy, the general rehabilitation group only received routine rehabilitation, the control group received no intervention. They were treated once a day, 10 times as a course.Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) was used to assess the motor function after 3 courses. Results The scores of FMA were higher in both rehabilitation groups than in the control group (P<0.05), and it was higher in the comprehensive group than in the general group (P<0.05). Conclusion Electroacupuncture combined with modern rehabilitation technology could facilitate to recover motor function in patients with cerebral infarction.

Objective To analyze the social support level and its influencing factors of patients with adverse pregnancy and to provide basis for targeted nursing interventions. Methods The convenience sampling method was adopted to get 106 cases of patients with adverse pregnancy as the sample and the home-made general questionnaire and social support rating scale (SSRS) for the research were used to analyze the social support level and influencing factors of patients with adverse pregnancy. Results The overall social support level of patients with adverse pregnancy was moderate and there was no significant difference with the subjective support, objective support, support utilization rate and overall level of normal pregnant women. The education level, income and the reproductive history of patients with adverse pregnancy affected their social support. Conclusion Nurses should help patients gain more social support and help patients with poor education, low income and nulliparous adverse pregnancy better feel and use the social support.

Methods The levels of S - 100? protein of cerebrospinal fluid and serum of 36 children with viral encephalitis and 20 lumbar anesthesia children without central nervous system diseases were measured by enzyme - linked immunosor bent assay. Differences in the levels of cerebrospinal fluid and serum S-100? protein between children with and without coma, with and without convulsion, with and without sequelae in the case group were compared. Results S-100? protein levels of cerebrospinal fluid in the case group and control group were (0.641?0.390) and (0.037 ? 0.014) ?g/L( P

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the possibility that using intracoronary delivery of autologus bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) to improve the cardiac function after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in miniature pig.
METHODSMSCs were cultured in Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium-F12 (DMEM/F12) medium. AMI model was made by blocking the blood stream of the first diagonal branch in miniature pig, and released the branch after 90 minutes. After 10-14 days, (4-6) x 10(7) culture-expanded autologus 4', 6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI)-labelled MSCs were transplanted into each host heart's AMI area through intracoronary way. Ultrasonic cardiography (UCG) was performed to observe the left ventricular function at 3 months after transplantation. The cellular transplanted hearts were harvested and investigated by immunohistochemical analysis.
RESULTSLeft ventricular function of the MSCs group was improved significantly 3 months later compared with the control group [(54.65 +/- 3.39) vs (43.98 +/- 4.21)%, (P < 0.01)]. Exogenous MSCs survived and site-differentiated into cardiomyocytes in infracted hearts.
CONCLUSIONMSCs can play a benificial role to repair damaged heart. Heart function can be improved after MSCs transplantation in porcine myocardial infarction model.

Objective To research the role of lymph tracers to protect parathyroid in surgery for papillary thyroid carcinoma. Methods Patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma who met selected criteria were enrolled in this study.Patients were divided into carbon nanoparticle group, methylene blue group, and conventional surgery group. Results No significant complication occurred in the patients of carbon nanoparticle and methylene blue groups. In carbon nanoparticle group, methylene blue group and conventional surgery group, the mean numbers of parathyroid glands detected during surgery were 3.1 ± 0.3,2.9 + 0.4 and 2.3 ± 0.3 (F =3.78,P < 0.01),the rates that parathyroid was cut mistakenly were 1.37%(2/146),2.62% (2/97) and 7.14% (6/84) respectively(x2 =17.372,P < 0.05) ; and the incidence of postoperative hypocalcemia were 10.4% (5/48),9.1% (3/33) and 17.5% (7/40,x2 =0.671,P =0.037).Conclusion Thyroid lymphography technique is helpful to protect from the injury to the parathyroid glands in surgery.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the effect of local application of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) via adenovirus-mediated gene transfer on survival of full thickness flaps selected randomly in rats.
METHODSThirty Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 480-520 g were used in this study. A dorsal flap (8 cm x 2 cm) in full thickness with the pedicle located at the level of the iliac crest was designed. Then the rats received 1,012 pfu replication-deficient recombinant adenovirus carrying VEGF (AdCMV-VEGF group, n=10), 1,012 pfu recombinant beta-galactosidase adenovirus (AdCMV-Gal group, n=10) and 1 ml saline (saline group, n=10), respectively, in the distal two thirds of the proposed flap by means of subdermal injection at 8 different locations. Three days after treatment, the flaps were elevated as originally designed and sutured back in situ. The survival rate of the flaps was evaluated on day 7 after operation.
RESULTSThe survival rate of the flaps in the AdCMV-VEGF group increased significantly as compared with those of the AdCMV-Gal group (P<0.01) and the saline group (P<0.01). Immunohistochemical staining showed that VEGF was expressed in the survival flaps injected with AdCMV-VEGF. Histological analysis showed that more granulation tissues and angiogenesis were observed in the AdCMV-VEGF group than those in the AdCMV-Gal and the saline groups.
CONCLUSIONSLocal application of adenovirus-mediated VEGF165 cDNA may efficiently improve the survival of ischemic skin flaps.
