Objective To investigate the effect of non-hazard treatment of feces on control of intestinal infectious diseases and parasitosis. Methods During Nov, 2003-May, 2004, we selected 6 counties as observational points by the character of geographical position and the types of non-hazard treatment in Hunan province. The number of fecal coliform and the sedimentation rate of parasite ova were measured, the methods of questionnaire and retrospective study were used and the prevalance rate of intestinal infectious diseases, the incident rate of infectious diarrhea and infectious rate of parasite were analyzed. Results Among three types of non-hazard treatment, the eligibility rates of fecal coliform were 95.0%, 93.5%and 91.7% respectively, and the sedimentation rates of parasite ova were 90.0%, 90.3% and 87.5% respectively. Compared with the villages where the latrines had not been improved, the infectious rates of parasite decreased by 67.0%,the prevalance rate of intestinal infectious diseases decreased by 58.3%, and the incidence rates of infectious diarrhea decreased by 56.3% in villages where the latrines had been improved. Conclusion Non-hazard treatment of feces will play an important role in preventing of intestinal infectious diseases, infectious diarrhea and parasitosis.

Objective To study the cause of protective immunodeficiency of patients with hepatitis C. Methods An antigen capture ELISA in which HCV synthetic peptides SP42, CP10 and CP9 derived from HCV NS4 and core gene region, respectively, were used as solid-phase antigens was used to detect the differences in light chain isotype expression of anti-HCV antibodies. Results Antibodies in 84 sera of HCV-infected patients against HCV SP42, CP10 and CP9 were characterized by a skewed light chain isotype expression. Eighty-two out of 84 sera of HCV infection (97 62%) showed at least one of the three anti-HCV antibodies skewed from the normal ratio of light chain isotype kappa/lambda. The kappa/lambda ratios of anti-HCV antibodies in all patients with hepatitis C were found to be unique and constant during one year follow-up, and 11 of them received two years follow-up. Conclusions Anti-HCV response was stable and clonally restricted in HCV infection. B-cell clonal dominance may be the cause of human protective immunodeficiency after HCV infection.
4. Drug release property of modified hyaluronic acid films in vitro
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2012;47(19):1558-1560
OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the in vitro drug release properties of modified hyaluronic acid films. METHODS: The drug release rates of the films were measured by dictyo-dish method and UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy. The effects of modifier contents and the solubility of medicines on the release were investigated. RESULTS: The release of some hydrophobic drugs from the films were sustained. The drug release pattern followed Higuchi equation, and was controlled by diffusion mechanism. Drug release rates were delayed by increasing contents of modifier. CONCLUSION: The films made of modified hyaluronic acid have excellent potentials as carriers for the sustained release of some hydrophobic drugs. FRTL cells were incubated in the culture medium containing 10 -6 -10-3 mol/L KI for 24, 48 and 72 h, and the levels of sodium iodide symporter (NIS) mRNA and protein were measured using RT-PCR and Western blot. The levels of NIS mRNA in FRTL cells incubated with different concentrations of iodide for 24 and 48 h showed no significant difference as compared with the control group, however, NIS protein was reduced gradually in FRTL cells incubated with different concentrations of iodide for 48 and 72 h as compared with that in control group. The higher the iodide concentration, the lower the levels of NIS protein. The results show that acute iodine excess does not affect the expression of NIS mRNA, but down-regulates NIS protein expression. Iodine excess may regulate the expression of NIS through post-transcription.

Objective Analysis of clinical features and treatment of nasal type NK/T cell lymphoma, to improve the understanding of this special type of lymphoma.Method The clinical data of 34 patients with nasal type NK/T cell lymphoma confirmed by pathology were retrospectively analyzed.Result In 31 cases, 26 cases were EB virus (EBV) infection positive, recent Treatment Effectiveness in the positive group was significantly lower than the negative group (38.46%vs. 87.50%;P<0.05) . Follow up showed until October 2015, 19 of 34 patients died. Among them, 17 cases died of disease relapse or progression, 2 cases died of other diseases. 15 patients survived (11 of them were disease-free) and the median overall survival time was 37 months. The 2 year overall survival was related to clinical stage, B symptoms, EBV infection (the P values were 0.017/0.001, 0.005, and 0.039 respectively). Conclusion EBV infection is associated with patient's treatment response in NK/T-Cell Lymphoma; and the prognosis is associated with clinical features such as clinical stage, B symptom, and EBV infection.
8. Small bronchoscopic biopsy specimens for detecting egfr gene mutations in advanced lung adenocarcinoma
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2015;36(1):49-53
Objective To examine epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) gene mutations in small bronchoscopic biopsy specimens, so as to provide guidance for clinical targeted therapy. Methods Fifty-six female patients with advanced-stage III B-IV lung adenocarcinoma underwent endoscopic endobronchial biopsy of tumor tissues or transbronchial needle aspiration of mediastinal and hilar lymph nodes. Under the endoscope, 20 patients underwent only bronchial biopsy, 28 underwent only transbronchial needle aspiration (TBNA) lymph node biopsy, and 8 underwent both endobronchial biopsy and TBNA biopsy of mediastinal and hilar lymph nodes. A total of 64 specimens were collected and were subjected to detection of EGFR gene mutations after confirmation of lung adenocarcinoma. The specimens were then divided into endobronchial metastasis group and lymph node metastasis group, and the mutations of exons 19 and 21 were detected and the clinical efficacy of targeted therapy was analyzed. Results Exon 19 had higher positive rate in the endobronchial metastasis group (χ2=4.304,P=0.038), and exon 21 had higher positive rate in lymph node metastasis group (χ2=18.727,P=0.000). A total of 24 cases were included for the clinical efficacy assessments: 10 had endobronchial metastasis (exon 19 mutations in 8 cases, 21 exon in 2 cases), with the disease control rate being 90% (9/10) and median progression-free survival period being 14.8 months; 14 patients had lymph node metastasis (19 exon 3 cases, 21 exon 11 cases), with the disease control rate being 78.57% (11/14) and the median progression-free survival period being 9.2 months; the disease control rates were not significantly different between the two groups (P>0.05) and the median progression-free survival periods were significantly different between the two groups(χ2 = 4.134, P=0.042). Conclusion Mutations of different EGFR exons might relate to the metastasis forms of female advanced lung adenocarcinoma, with exon 19 prone to endobronchial metastasis and exon 21 to lymph node metastasis. Targeted therapy for patients with endobronchial metastasis has a better outcome than that for patients with lymph node metastasis.
9. Clinical analysis of bleeding during transbronchial needle aspiration
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2012;33(12):1339-1343
Objective To retrospectively analyze the incidence of bleeding during transbronchial needle aspiration (TBNA) procedures, so as to provide evidence for prevention and treatment of the condition. Methods TBNA procedures were performed in 178 patients with enlarged mediastinal and/or hilar lymph nodes, who were treated in the People's Hospital of Linyi. A total of 248 lymph node sites were punctured, including 100 for the groups of pretracheal and post-superior vena cava lymph nodes (4R), 10 for the groups of left paratracheal (aorta-pulmonary artery windows) lymph nodes (4L), 13 for the groups of pre-carinal lymph nodes (7),90 for the groups of sub-carinal lymph nodes (7), 12 for the groups of sub-subcarinal lymph nodes (7), 12 for the groups of right lung hilar lymph nodes (11R), and 11 for the groups of left lung hilar lymph nodes (11L).TBNA procedures were performed according to WANG's TBNA positioning and punctured method. The sites and incidence rates of bleeding sites during the procedures were analyzed. Results The highest incidence rate of bleeding (20%) was found during TBNA procedures in the sub-carinal lymph node groups (7), and the lowest incidence rate was found (2%) in the pretracheal and post-superior vena cava lymph node groups (4R).The incidence rates of bleeding were significantly different between different puncture sites as demonstrated by chi-square test (χ2=17.035,P=0.009). Conclusion Pretracheal and post-superior vena cava lymph nodes (4R) and sub-carinal lymph nodes (7) are the most common TBNA puncture position in the airway. TBNA procedure at sub-carinal lymph nodes (7) has the highest risk of bleeding. The massive bleeding during TBNA procedures can be avoided by prior enhanced CT and/or endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS)-TBNA of the lung.
