The Pill Questionnaire (PillQ) has been proposed as a simple way to evaluate cognitive deficits and their
impact on the daily lives of those with Parkinson’s disease (PD) by asking patients or caregivers about
whether patients can independently manage their pills. We used the PillQ to investigate the association
of ability to manage medication with cognition and activities of daily living (ADLs) in patients with
PD. Patients were divided into two groups based on PillQ scores. The no-impact group was able to take
their antiparkinsonian medication independently, and the impact group exhibited problems describing
their treatment or taking their drugs independently. A total of 208 participants (93 men) were included.
111 patients (53.4%) were included in the no-impact group, and 97 (46.6%) were included in the
impact group. The impact group showed significantly lower cognitive functioning, difficulties with
the performance of ADLs, and severe motor dysfunction. PillQ scores were significantly correlated
with Mini-Mental State Examination and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, and Clinical Dementia
Rating scores. Management of medication by PD patients is associated with cognitive function, and
the PillQ is an easy and useful test for detecting cognitive impairment and its impact on daily life.
3.Two Cases of Intramuscular Lipoma on the Chin.
Korean Journal of Dermatology 2007;45(1):55-57
Intramuscular lipoma is an unusual benign mesenchymal tumor, which infiltrates the skeletal muscle, and in exceedingly rare cases can occur on the head or neck. Intramuscular lipoma is composed of mature adipose tissue that infiltrates muscle in a diffuse manner, and the entrapped muscle fibers exhibit varying degrees of atrophic change. Because of infiltrating features of adipocyte, the recurrence rate after excision is very high. We herein report two cases of intramuscular lipoma of the chin.

Neurology Asia 2011;16(4):343-344
Although most of the known pathogenic mutations in the progranulin gene (PGRN) are null mutations
leading to a reduction in the serum PGRN protein levels, missense mutations also have been identifi ed
in patients with frontotemporal lobar degeneration and in patients with Alzheimer disease. Among
these, p.R564C mutation was identifi ed in a late-onset AD patient with a reduced serum PGRN level.
However, recently, we found the p.R564C mutation in a healthy control subject raising doubts whether
this is a pathogenic mutation. In this report, we measured the serum PGRN levels in 20 subjects
without the p.R564C mutation and in one subject with the p.R564C mutation, to determine whether
the p.R564C mutation is associated with reduced serum PGRN levels. We found that the serum PGRN
level in the subject with the p.R564C mutation was not reduced compared to the subjects without the
p.R564C mutation. Our result reiterates that p.R564C may not be a pathogenic mutation.

Pigmented lesions of palmar and plantar skin may cause diagnostic problems, because some features of benign lesions in these sites may raise the suspicion of melanoma if considered alone. Transepidermal elimlnation is a mechanism by which a substance is eliminated through the epidermis, and it is apt to be confused with a feature of melanoma that tumor cells are located at all layers of the epidermis. We report a case of transepidermal elimination of nevus cells in acral letiginous nevus which needs a differential dignosis of melanoma.

Primary malignant lymphoma of the appendix is an unconnnon neoplasm although the gastrointestinal tract is the most common extranodal site of malignant lymphoma. We report a case of primary malignant lymphoma of the appendix in a 54-year-old male, who presented with pain in the right lower abdomen. An appendectomy was performed. The appendix measured 9.5 cm in length and 5.5 cm in diameter. Cut sections showed a solitary circumferential mass in the appendiceal lumen. Light microscopic features were compatible with malignant lymphoma of diffuse large cell type(Working Formulation) and the immunophenotype was B cell type.

Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing 2002;32(6):906-916
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to identify the change and difference and relationship of postpartum depression and physical image. METHOD: The subjects consisted of 86 postpartum women at one general hospital in Seoul. The data was collected from September to November 2001. The instrument used for this study were SRD (Self-Rating Depression Scale) and Norris' Body Image Scale to evaluate depression and body image. The collected data was analyzed with frequency, mean, t-test, paired t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficient. RESULT: The result of this study were as follows: 1.The mean score of D2 was significantly higher than D1(p=.003). There was no difference significantly B1 and B2(p=310). 2. There was significant correlation between the two, D1-D2(r=.381, p<.01), B1-B2(r=.364, p<.01), D1-B1(r=.579, p<.01), D2-B2(r= .567, p<.01). (D1: depression of postpartum 1-3days, D2: depression of postpartum 6-8weeks, B1: body image of postpartum 1-3days, B2: body image of postpartum 6-8weeks) CONCLUSION: There was very high postpartum depression in postpartum women, but body image was positive. Also, there was correlated to postpartum depression and body image. Thus it is necessary to implement nursing intervention focused on to decrease the postpartum depression and to enhance the body image of the postpartum women.

We report a case of primary osteosarcoma of the breast which is rare and exhibits poor prognosis. A 52 years-old-woman was admitted with rapidly growing right mammary mass. A huge lobulated dense mass with speckled calcifications, suggesting malignancy, was observed on mammography. She underwent a radical mastectomy. Grossly, the mass measured 16 14 6 cm and showed grayish white hard lobulated tissue with focal hemorrhage and necrosis. Light microscopically, the tumor was confirmed as an osteosarcoma devoid of any epithelial components. In postoperative whole body bone scan, there was no evidence of the other malignancy. To the best of our knowledge, the present case is the first report of primary osteosarcoma of the breast in Korea.
