It has been shown that wornen with endometriosis have several immunological defects. The effect of interleukin-2 (IL-2) for the treatment of induced endometriosis in rat was studied. The results obtained are as followings: proliferation of epithelium is increased, and the inner surface is undulated with 1.5 nM IL-2. In 7.5 nM IL-2, the epithelial cells are changed to columar ones, and secretory hobs are observed at the apex of individual cell. Secretory activity of epithelium is increased with 0.5 nM IL-2, and apoptosis of the epithelial cell is observed in 15 nM IL-2. The levels of progesterone and estradiol in sera of rat were increased after treatment with IL-2 and were highest in the concentration of 1.5 nM IL-2. The results of this study can be a guide in the development of new therapeutic approaches for the treatment of endometriosis.

Objective To assess the continent diversion results of sigma rectum pouch after radical cystectomy. Methods The reconstruction of bladder with sigmoid was modified for treatment of 18 cases of bladder tumor. The intestine was incised over a length of 20~24 cm with the junction of sigmoid colon and rectum as the midpoint so as to create a low pressure reservoir for urine and side-to-side anastomosis was performed on the posterior borders of the rectosigmoid wall.Submucosal tunnel modified technique was em- ployed in antireflux urethral implantation,Urination has been controlled by anal sphincter. Results About 80 minutes was spent to finish a new low pressure pouch after radical cystectomy.Among 18 patients with this op- eration, the controlled emiction were good after pull out the anal duct and"J"stent in 1 week to 2 months.Af- ter 2 months, the times of urination is stable,4~5 times in daytime and 1~3 times during nighttime. Two pa- tients had nocturnal enuresis and the symptom vanished after 2 months. One patient had adhesive ileus, two patients had hyperchloremia acidosis and kaliopenia, one patient had urethral stump cancer. There is no com- plication as anastomotic block, renal function lesion and severe upper urinary tract infection. Conclusion This operative method was easy, emiction control was well, and with higher quality of life for patients. It is al- so a better alternative diversion procedure that would be easily accepted.

OBJECTIVEThe study is to investigate the microbial composition of interdental and subgingival plaques of periodontitis patients with or without malodor, to explore the relationships between periodontitis and oral malodor.
METHODS20 patients of periodontitis with malodor were chosen from 210 patients of periodontitis, and the clinical parameter of plaque index (PLI), gingival bleeding index (GBI) and probing depth (PD) were measured and compared with the control group which had periodontal disease without malodor. During the experiment, the interdental and subgingival microbial samples in both groups were collected and sent to anaerobic culture for 48 hrs, then the total CFU/ml of each sample were counted, and each type of bacteria was separated and identified. All of the data were analyzed by using the statistical software SPSS 10.0.
RESULTS(1) There were no satistical differences on PLI, GBI, PD between experimental group and control group. (2) The percents of leptospira in both interdental and subgingival plaques of test group were significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.01). (3) Either the interdental or in subgingival plaques, the count results of CFU/ml were similar in both groups (P > 0.05). (4) The proportions of malodor producing anaerobic bacteria in interdental gingival plaque, such as P. gingivalis and Veillonelia, were singnificantly different between test group and control group.
CONCLUSIONThe proportions of VSC's producing anaerobic bacteria in interdental gingival plaque may be play the significant roles in oral malodor. Further studies should be taken to elucidate the relationship between malodor and periodontitis.

Chinese Journal of Contemporary Pediatrics 2015;17(4):356-361
OBJECTIVETo screen the coding region of melanocortin-4 receptor gene (MC4R) for mutations in children, analyze the association of the identified variants with obesity-related phenotypes, and predict the potential functions of the identified variants.
METHODSA case-control study was conducted in 160 severely obese children and 100 normal-weight controls, all aged 7-18 years. Their anthropometric data were collected and blood tests were performed. The coding region of MC4R gene was screened by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), single strand conformation polymorphism and sequencing, and the potential functions of the identified variants were predicted by related online databases.
RESULTSThree heterozygous missense mutations were identified in obese children (Val95Ile, Val166Ile and Val179Ala), and one heterozygous missense mutation was found in controls (Met218Thr). Val103Ile variant was found to be carried by seven subjects in the obese group and six in the control group (P>0.05). Val179Ala was a newly identified heterozygous mutation. No significant differences in BMI, weight, waist circumstance, hip circumstance, serum lipid parameters, fasting glucose, and body fat percentage were found between Val95Ile, Val166Ile or Val179Ala mutation carriers and non-carriers in obese children. The function prediction of the variants showed that all the five identified variants influenced the protein function.
CONCLUSIONSFive variants were identified in the coding region of MC4R gene, among which Val179Ala was newly identified. All the five variants might influence the protein function as evidenced by online prediction.
