Method The epidemiological characteristics of tuberculosis among students in Xuzhou from 2016 to 2020 were analyzed based on the data from Tuberculosis Information Management System and Xuzhou Statistical Yearbook 2021. Results From 2016 to 2020, a total of 574 student tuberculosis patients were registered in Xuzhou, with an annual average registration rate of 5.64/100 000. The reported incidence of tuberculosis among students in Xuzhou showed an increasing trend year by year (χ2trend=22.521, P<0.001). There were 365 males and 209 females, respectively, with a sex ratio of 1.75:1. The tuberculosis patients were mainly in the 15-19 years old group and 20-24 years old group. According to the statistical analysis by different levels of education, students from ordinary higher institutions accounted for 48.61% of the total number of confirmed cases, followed by senior high schools and secondary vocational schools, accounting for 20.91% and 14.46%, respectively. Preschool education had the lowest number of confirmed cases, accounting for 1.05%. There was significant difference in the reported incidence of tuberculosis among students at different educational levels (χ2=1 522.39, P<0.001). The highest incidence was reported in ordinary higher institutions, followed by senior high schools and secondary vocational schools, and the lowest incidence was reported in preschool education. Conclusion Xuzhou city school tuberculosis epidemic integral is on the rise, we should further strengthen tuberculosis control work of school tuberculosis prevention and control measures of implementation in the future, at the same time to strengthen school tuberculosis prevention knowledge propaganda and standardize the schools for disposal of tuberculosis epidemic situation. We should also further strengthen the newborn matriculation examination and students absent from class because of illness monitoring work.
2.Implement bronchial provocative tests in children with asthma remission
International Journal of Pediatrics 2010;37(5):458-461
Bronchial asthma is one of the most common children health problems, with still increasing prevalence.Bronchial hyperresponsiveness is a characteristic feature of asthma, and its measurement may provide a useful adjunct in the diagnosis of asthma. Many children with asthma go into long-term clinical remission at adolescence, but bronchial hyperresponsiveness persists in approximately one half of these subjects, so implement the bronchial provocative tests in children with asthma remission may appears very important.
3.Efficacy and safety of smoking cessation intervention by anesthesiologists
The Journal of Clinical Anesthesiology 2017;33(1):41-44
Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of smoking intervention by anesthesiol-ogists in surgical patients. Methods A total of 182 male patients, aged 18-79 years,ASA grade Ⅰ-Ⅲ,scheduled for elective noncardiovascular and nonthoracic surgery, were assessed preoperatively. Patients were randomized to either the control group or the intervention group,n =91 each. The con-trol group did not receive specific smoking cessation intervention. The intervention group received brief counseling by the anesthesiologist, leaflets on smoking cessation, including pictorial health warning labels, smoking cessation clinic’s smokers’hot line and WeChat public number.Anesthesia methods, operation time, treatment time in PACU,the rate of smoking cessation at 30 days postop-eratively,perioperative complications and smoking status at 30 days postoperatively were recorded. Results One hundred and sixty-six patients were included in the analysis finally. There was no signif-icant difference between two groups in 30 days of follow-up postoperatively.Self-reported smoking re-duction in the postoperative 30 days the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group (36.9% vs.22.0%,P <0.05).For smokers, there was a relationship between the lev-el of eCO and the smoking cessation rate,it was 83.3% in the intervention group and 40.0% in the control group (P <0.05).There was no significant difference of overall rate of combined intraopera-tive and immediate postoperative complications between two groups. Conclusion Smoking cessation intervention launched by anesthesiologists promotes 30 days of abstinence postoperatively.
4.Progress of calcium signaling in sensory neurones and neuroglial cell in diabetic peripheral neuropathic dysfunction
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2017;33(3):308-311
Ca2+signaling is fundamental for information process-ing in the peripheral nervous system, which regulates a variety of physiological activities.Ca2+signaling and calcium homeostasis are directly associated with neuropathology.Recently, studies on Ca2+signaling contribute to a deeper comprehension of the path-ogenesis of diabetic peripheral neuropathies, which provide a new research direction for the treatment of diabetic peripheralneuropathies. This review aims to highlight the relationship be-tween calcium signaling, sensory neurones and neuroglial cells in the context of diabetic peripheral neuropathies.
5.IMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL STUDIES OF EGF AND IL-2 POSITIVE CELLS IN RAT SUBMANDIBULAR GLAND DURING HEROIN DEPENDENCE PERIOD
Acta Anatomica Sinica 2002;0(06):-
Objective To observe the effect of heroin on EGF and IL-2 positive cells in the submandibular gland of rats. Methods Normal SD rats were divided into normal control group (NGC),saline control group (SCG)and heroin dependence group (HDG). The heroin dependent model of rats was established by subcutaneous injection of heroin, and submandibular glands were excised on the following days respectively: the 10th, 17th, 24th, 31th and 38th. Immunohistochemical SABC method, image analysis and cells calculation were used in the study. Results 1. As compared with those of the NCG, the number of EGF and IL-2 positive cells and the intensity of staining in SCG didn't change obviously. 2. During heroin dependence, the immunohistochemical staining showed that the number of EGF and IL-2 positive cells increased obviously(P
6.Animal model of neuropathic pain and its application to research on pain mediated by P2X receptors
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(11):-
Neuropathic pain is the clinically common disease and does great harm to physical and mental health.Because its pathogenesis is still unclear and there aren′t effective therapeutic tools and the course of chronic pain lasts a long time, the study of neuropathic pain has become the hot spot and the focal point of pain research area. This article reviews various kinds of animal models of neuropathic pain, which can repeat neuropathic pain symptoms of mankind and may be effective ways to make research.By acting on P2X receptors,ATP is the signal of an important transmitting pain.By utilizing animal models of neuropathic pain,it shows that P2X receptors have an important role in the formation, transmission and regulation of pain and may be a new target of neuropathic pain therapy.
7.The effects of rehabilitation on the pre-lingual deaf children with inner malformation after cochlear implantation
Chinese Archives of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery 2017;24(3):136-139
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to evaluate the outcomes of rehabilitation after cochlear implantation in children with malformed inner ear and compare them with a group of congenitally deaf children implantees with a normal inner ear.METHODS 21 children with inner ear malformation were retrospectively studied. The postoperative outcomes of these 21 cases were compared with that of 21 cases with normal inner ear structure. The assessment of all the children included the hearing levels, language ability , categories of auditory performance (CAP) and speech intelligibility rating (SIR) respectively before cochlear implantation, 6 months and 1 year after surgery. The data was analyzed using SPSS 17.0. RESULTS The results of rehabilitation in 9 children with Large Vestibular Aqueduct Syndrome and 6 cases with Mondini abnormality had no significant difference comparing with the control cases. The outcomes of 1case with severe Mondini abnormality and 5 cases with common cavity indicated significant worse than the control cases. CONCLUSION The effect of rehabilitation had no difference between the children with large vestibular aqueduct syndrome and the cases with normal inner structure after cochlear implantation, but was poorer in children with severe Mondini abnormality and common cavity. It was necessary to evaluate the degree of malformation of inner ear structure before cochlear implantation. The hearing abilities have improved quickly 6 months after cochlear implantation. The language abilities will need at least one year to get improved while the SIR need even more time. The development of language functions requires individualized rehabilitation guidance and integrated education.
9. Influence of nutritional status at birth on development of metabolic syndrome in adulthood: An advance
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;31(2):196-199
Aging as a global problem is intensifying with the development of economy; reducing the chronic diseases in the elderly and improving the life quality of the whole population are a study focus of medical researchers of today. The changes of cells, tissues, and organs in adults are not reversible to different extents. Fetal origin hypothesis believes malnutrition early in life is closely associated with the metabolic syndrome in adults, and if measures is taken at early stage of life, it may reduce or avoid a series of disease in adults. This paper reviews the association of malnutrition at early stage of life with metabolic syndrome (obesity, hyperglycemia, hypertension, and hyperlipemia) in adults.
