Objective To study the anti-tumor effect of Zhongjiefeng Injection in vitro and its combination with adriamycin. Methods MTT assay was adopted to determine the in-vitro anti-tumor effect,IC50 was used to measure the direct anti-tumor effect, and Jing' s formula was applied to analyze the combination of the drugs. Results Zhongjiefeng Injection can inhibit the proliferation of Bel 7402(human hepatoma cells),HCT-8(human colon cancer cells),and the IC50 was 33.13 mg/mL for Bel 7402 and 52.39 mg/mL for HCT-8 respectively.Zhongjiefeng Injection at the concentrations of 3.125,6.25,12.5 mg/mL showed an efficancy potentiation action with doxorubicin on the inhibition of HCT-8 cells in vitro, and 25,50 mg/mL showed a synergic effect on HCT-8 .Conclusion Zhongjiefeng Injection has a certain in-vitro inhibitory effect on the growth of Bel 7402 and HCT-8,its combination with doxorubicin in vitro can produce synergic effects(a simple combined or enhanced effects)to HCT-8 cells, especially high concentrations of Zhongjiefeng Injection with doxorubicin. It is suggested that Zhongjiefeng Injection in the doubled dosage may have a better synergistic effect with doxorubicin in clinical treatment of colon cancer.

The paper is to report the establishment of a method for quickly evaluating compatibility of Chinese medicines injections. Isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) was used to evaluate compatibility of Yiqifumai (YQFM) and vitamin C injection (Vc)/5% glucose injection (5% GS). The diversification of Gibbs free energy (deltaG), enthalpy (deltaH) and entropy (deltaS) were used to decide reaction types of colliquefaction procedures of different injections. The reactive profiles were used to determine signs and quantity of heat. And high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used as a supportive method for ITC. Then, feasible binding sites were analyzed based on the information of spatial structures of major compositions. During the colliquefaction procedure of YQFM and Vc, [deltaH] > T[deltaS], so, the reaction is enthalpy-driving. And the reactive profile showed that a big deal of heat was given out during the procedure. Obviously, chemical reactions happened and the major compositions changed. On the other side, the reaction of YQFM mixed with 5% GS was entropy-driving, because [deltaH] < T[deltaS]. The reactive profile showed there was a little heat gave out. So, non-chemical reactions happened, and the major compositions did not change. The conformity existed between the results of ITC and HPLC. ITC could be used to evaluate the compatibility of Chinese medicines injections because of the advantages of ITC, such as real time, fast, sensitive and having more parameters.

In order to investigate the effect of ligustrazine (Lig) i.p. on peritoneal permeability in peritoneal dialysis and its side effects, creatinine was given intravenously and continuously to maintain the high plasma creatinine level. All the rabbits were divided into three groups: normal control group (group A), group B treated with 0.12% Lig and group C treated with 0.24% Lig. The peritoneal dialysis of all rabbits lasted 2 h. The plasma and dialysate levels of glucose, protein and creatinine were observed immediate, 30 min, 60 min, 90 min, 120 min after dialysis. Creastinine dialysate/plasma ratio (D/P), protein D/P ratio, glucose D/Do at different time points after dialysis and creatinine mass transfer area coefficient (MTAC) at 120 min were calculated. The structures of peritoneum were observed under optical microscope and electron microscope after continuously intraperitoneal injection of Lig for 14 days. The results showed that the 90-min and 120-min creatinine D/P ratios in the group C were higher than in the group A. The 120-min creatinine MATC in the group C was higher than in the group A. The rabbits treated with Lig did not show significant structure changes of peritoneum and signs of peritoneal irritation. It was suggested that Lig could increase mass transfer ability of peritoneum without significant side effects.

This article was aimed to study the stability of hesperidin in alkaline solution, in order to provide experi-ment evidences for quality control of extraction and purification as well as formulation development. RP-HPLC was applied to determinate content changes of hesperidin in alkaline solution by changing the temperature, pH and heat-ing time. The results showed that hesperidin was degraded in alkaline solution by heating. The content of hesperidin decreased along with the increasing of heating temperature and heating time. The hesperidin appeared to be more stable in a weak base. It was concluded that for the purpose of ensuring of the stability of hesperidin in alkaline so-lution, it should be kept at low temperature (below 50℃), weak base conditions and shorten the heating time during the preparation process.
