Prostate cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in males. Endocrine therapy is currently the main treatment for patients with advanced prostate cancer. Although this therapy frequently results in tumor shrinkage, it is not curative, and the majority of patients eventually develop hormone-refractory prostate cancer. Recent studies suggested that prostate cancer stem cells serve a key function in the occurrence, development, and metastasis of prostate cancer. Therefore, targeted therapy of prostate cancer stem cells may be effective for the treatment of prostate cancer. Prostate cancer stem cell markers must be identified to facilitate studies on prostate cancer radical treatment schemes, especially the specific markers of this disease. Previous research on prostate cancer stem cell markers mainly focus on CD44 and CD133. Along with in-depth studies, a substantial number of new markers have been found with research development. This review summarizes the widely studied and recently discovered markers found in the field of prostate cancer stem cells.

We used near-infrared spectroscopy technology to monitor and assess the treatment effect of dehydrating agent in injured rat brain in real time style. We employed the brain edema model in rats resulting from Feeney' s freefall damage, then treated with different doses of mannitol, and collected reduced scattering coefficient (p',) and intracranial pressure (ICP) values after the injury and during the treatment. The results showed that brain edema happened 1 h after the injury in rats' brain tissue, peaked around 72 h after injury, and then began to decrease gradually. The reduced scattering coefficient and ICP values of the treatment group injected with mannitol all decreased after administration. Compared with the effect of low-dose mannitol treatment, that of high-dose mannitol treatment was much better. The duration of the plateau was longer and most experiments results declined significantly. From this we conclude that the reduced scattering coefficient and ICP are consistent with the trend changes, and the reduced scattering coefficient could be used as an indicator for monitoring cerebral edema.

BACKGROUND:In clinical practice, there are some patients with labial inclined anterior teeth which influence their appearance, but they refuse orthodontic treatment because of many factors such as long-term treatment.Alternatively, these patients can receive aesthetics restoration with re-directional post-core and crown.OBJECTIVE:To investigate the influence of three kinds of post-core materials on fracture resistant ability of labial inclined maxillary central incisor with different changed angles.METHODS:Seventy-five maxillary central incisors were randomly divided into three groups:group Ⅰ was restored with Co-Cr post-core and porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) crown, group Ⅱ was restored with 50% gold alloy post-core and PFM crown, group Ⅲ was restored with everStick fiber post and composite resin core and PFM crowns. Each group then was divided into five subgroups based on angles between the post-core and long axis of the tooth (0°,10°,20°,30°,40°).All specimens were embedded in acrylic resin and fixed in electronic universal testing machine.Force was loaded to each specimen until fracture occurred, and the maximum load values of fracture and the fracture mode were recorded.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The fracture resistance of group Ⅲ was superior to groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ (P < 0.05),but there was no significant difference between group Ⅰ and group Ⅱ (P > 0.05).The maximum load value of the three groups decreased as the changed angle increased. The fracture of group Ⅲ mostly appeared on the 1/3 of the root neck, while the fracture of groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ mostly appeared on the 1/3 of root central or the 1/3 of the root neck. So,the fracture resistance and fracture mode of central incisor under changed angles restored with everStick fiber post were superior to that with cast metal post-core.During re-directional restoration of labial inclined maxillary anterior teeth, everStick fiber post is recommended as a better choice to reduce the risk of catastrophic fractures. Also it suggests that excessive changed angle should be avoided to prevent root fracture.

AIM: To establish the quality standard for Jinqiaomai Tablets ( Fagopyri Dibotryis Rhizoma). METHODS: Fagopyri Dibotryis Rhizoma was identified by TLC. The contents of (-)-epicatechin and procyanidin B2 were determined simultaneously by HPLC,the Symmetry C18 column (5 ?m,3. 9 mm id ? 150 mm) was used. The water (adjust pH value to 3. 00 ? 0. 02 with phosphoric acid)-acetonitrile (92 ∶ 8) was used as a mobile phase, the detecting wavelength was at 280 nm. The column temperature was at 35 ℃. RESULTS: Fagopyri Dibotryis Rhizoma could be identified. The calibration curve of (-)-epicatechin was linear in the range of 0. 113 6-2. 272 ?g with the correlation of 0. 999 968 (n = 8). The average recovery of (-)-epicatechin was 97. 12% ,RSD = 0. 92% (n = 6). The calibration curve of procyanidin B2 was linear in the range of 0. 166 4-1. 664 ?g with the correlation of 0. 999 702(n = 8). The average recovery of procyanidin B2 was 98. 26% ,RSD = 0. 61% (n = 6). CONCLUSION: The method is specific, reliable and accurate,so it can be used for the quality control of Jinqiaomai Tablets.
