Objective To observe the clinical effect of Xisui Huangu Formula combined with technetium [99Tc] methylenediphosphonate injection in the treatment of avascular necrosis of femoral head (ANFH). Methods A total of 73 patients were randomly divided into treatment group (37 cases) and control group (36 cases). The control group was given conventional western medicine treatment, while the treatment group was given Xisui Huangu Formula on the basis of conventional western medicine treatment. Clinical symptoms and joint function of the two groups were observed before and after treatment, and the clinical effects were compared. Results In the treatment group, 17 cases were cured, 17 cases improved, 3 cases were unrecovered, and the effective rate was 91.89%. In the control group, 4 cases were cured, 25 cases improved, 7 cases were unrecovered, and the effective rate was 80.56%. The difference was statistically significant between the two groups (P<0.05). Improvement of joint pain, lameness, dysfunction, and joint function in the treatment group were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Xisui Huangu Formula can significantly improve clinical symptoms of ANFH. Integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine therapy is helpful to alleviate ANFH disease progression.

OBJECTIVE:To probe into the status quo and tendency of the utilization of anticoagulant drugs in our hospital. METHODS:The utilization of anticoagulant drugs in our hospital from 2004 to 2007 were analyzed statistically with regard to drug varieties,consumption quantity and consumption sum as well as DDDs. RESULTS:The consumption sum of anticoagulant drugs in our hospital increased year by year. Of all the anticoagulant drugs,leading the list in terms of consumption sum were ozagrel,low molecular heparin calcium and clopidogrel. CONCLUSION:The utilization of anticoagulant drugs in our hospital is basically in line with the current medication principle of anticoagulant drugs and the general medication trend both at home and abroad.

Objective To study the effects of treating irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) with modified TongXieYaoFang. Methods 83 IBS patients were randomly recruited into a treatment group (45 patients) and a control group (38 patients). In the control group, Trimebutine, 200mg, and Bifid triple viable capsule, 420mg, 3 times/day was given orally to the patients, while on the basis of that, the treatment group was administrated with modified TongXieYaoFang in addition. Both groups were treated for one course of 4 weeks. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group was 93.3% and 71.1% respectively, showing significant difference between the two groups (X2=7.2938, P<0.01 ). Conclusion TongXieYaoFang combined with western medicine is effective in treating IBS.

Objective:To observe the effect on ovarian cancer immunotherapy by dendritic cells (DC) which activated by Epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) induce antigen-specific CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) and to provide some help to ovarian cancer immunotherapy.Methods: Interleukin (IL)-12,and IL-10 of DC were tested after inducing by EpCAM.Subsequently,EpCAM specific CTL CD8+ was induced by EpCAM-DC.The therapeutic effect and interferon (IFN)-γ of EpCAM-DC-CD8+ CTL on normal ovarian epithelial cells IOSE80 and ovarian cancer cell SKVO3 was detected.After treatment of EpCAM-DC-CD8+ CTL,the volume of ovarian tumor of bearing BALB/c-nu/nu mice was detected.Meanwhile,the morphology changes of tumor tissue were observed by HE staining.Results: Compared with PBS,EpCAM stimulation significantly inceased surface markers DC80,DC83,DC86 and HLA-DR levels,and added up to 4.79,4.85,4.60 and 10.91 times (P<0.05).EpCAM stimulation significantly increased the expression of IL-12 and reduced the secretion of IL-10 (P<0.05).Both of DC-CD8+ CTL and EpCAM-DC-CD8+ CTL resulted in minute amount of IOSE80 cell killing (P>0.05).However,the killing rate of EpCAM-DC-CD8+ CTL on SKVO3 cells was 6.82-folds as much as that of DC-CD8+ CTL.Animal experiments showed that ovarian cancer transplantation tumor volume ratio after EpCAM-DC-CD8+ CTL treatment,was significantly lower than PBS group and DC-CD8+ CTL group,which reached 0.27 and 0.28 times,respectively (P<0.05).HE staining showed that EpCAM-DC-CD8+ CTL treatment resulted in significant changes of tumor tissues in pathology.Conclusion: EpCAM protein stimulated the maturation of DC that induced the production of EpCAM specific CD8+ CTL.EpCAM-DC-CD8+ CTL can effectively kill ovarian tumor cells and delay the growth of tumor,which is of great significance for the immunotherapy of ovarian cancer.

BACKGROUND: Clinical observation has been proved that acupuncture has effect on antiinflammation and immunoloregulation, which is the basis for preventing and curing immune disturbance and active chronic inflammation. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of electropumcture on antiinflammation, analgesia and subgroup of T cells of adjuvant-arthrosis rats at Jiaji acupoint.DESIGN: Completely randomized grouping and controlled study.SETTING: Basic Laboratory of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. MATERIALS: A total of 30 Wistar rats were selected in this study. Five days after feeding, all rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: normal control group, model group and electropumcture group with 10 in each group. METHODS: ① The experiment was completed at Basic Laboratory of Acupuncture and Moxibustion of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January to May 2005. Freund's complete adjuvant (FCA) was used to establish adjuvant-arthrosis models in model group and electropumcture group. On the modeling day, the 3rd and the 5th Jiaji acupoints of bilateral lumbar vertebrae of rats in electropumcture group were acupunctured with 28-sized stainless-steel milli-needle of 0.5 inch.The needle was stimulated 0.3 cm from the 3rd and the 5th spinous process of lumbar vertebra which was counected to G6805-2A multiple functional electropumcture meter for sparse-tight waves (frequency of sparse wave: 4 Hz, frequency of tight wave: 60 Hz, intensity: t mA) 30 minutes each time,once a day for 7 days. Rats in normal group and model group were fixed with the same way for 7 days. (Rats were fixed with cloth-rope at fixing apparatus.) ② Pain threshold was measured before modelling, 1 and 7 days after modelling. Foot pad was exposured with strong light by hot-pain stimulation meter, and paw withdrawal latency was regarded as pain threshold. ③ Right hindfoot bulk of rats was assayed with foot bulk determinator (bulk draining method) before modelling, 1 and 7 days after modelling to calculate swelling rate (％) [(foot bulk after modelling-foot bulk before modelling)/ foot bulk before modelling × 100％ ]. ④ Expressional rates of serum CD4+ and CD8+ were assayed with FACSCalibur flow cytometer and the ratio between CD4+ and CD8+ was calculated 8 days after modelling. ⑤ Average value of multiple samples were compared with single-factor analysis of variance and t test.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Effect of electropumcture at Jiaji acupoint on pain threshold, swelling rate and subgroup of serum T cells of adjuvant-arthrosis rats.RESULTS: A total of 30 rats were involved in the final analysis. ① One day after modeling, bulk of right hindfoot in model group and electropumcture group was bigger than that in normal control group and that before modeling (P ＜ 0.01), and swelling rate was higher than that in normal control group (P ＜ 0.01); 7 days after modeling, bulk and swelling of right hindfoot in model group were higher than those in normal control group (P ＜ 0.01), and bulk was bigger than that before modeling (P ＜ 0.01);bulk and swelling of right hindfoot in electropumcture group were lower than those in model group (P ＜ 0.05). ② Pain threshold of both rear feet of normal rats were not changed after modelling. One day after modelling,pain threshold at inflammatory side was decreased in model group and electropumcture group (P ＜ 0.01) and it was lower than that in normal control group (P ＜ 0.01); 7 days after modeling, pain threshold at inflammatory side was still lower than that before inflammation (P ＜ 0.05),and it in electropumcture group was higher than that in model group (P＜ 0.05). ③ Percentages of CD4+ T lymphocyte and CD8+ T lymphocyte in model group were lower than those in normal control group (P ＜ 0.01), and ratio of CD4+/CD8+ was also higher than that in normal control group (P＜ 0.05). Percentage of CD4+ in electropumcture group was higher than that in model group, but there was no significant difference. Percentage of CD8+ in electropumcture group was higher than that in model group (P ＜ 0.01),but ratio of CD4+/CD8+ was lower than that in model group (P ＜ 0.05).CONCLUSION: Electropumcture at Jiaji acupoint has obvious effect on anti-inflammation and analgesia, and can also regulate cellular immunity of adjuvant-arthrosis rats.

Objective To evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of Uncertainty Scale for Kids-22 (USK-22).Methods The Uncertainty Scale for Kids was translated and adapted according to Chinese culture.The reliability and validity of the Chinese version of USK were tested in 117children and adolescents with cancer.Results The rate of recovery was 100％.The rote of effective questionnaire was 95.7％.The patients were easily to understand and it cost them average 8 minutes to finish the questionnaires.Three factors were extracted by factor analysis and could explain 57.043％ of total variance.The correlations between each item and subscale ranged from 0.526 to 0.762.The Cronbach α of USK was 0.872 and the Cronbach α of each subscale ranged from 0.774 to 0.826.The testretest reliability was 0.835.Conclusions The Chinese version of USK is reliable and valid,and can be used to measure the level of uncertainty among Chinese children and adolescents with cancer.

Objective To investigate illness uncertainty state and explore its influencing factors in hospitalized children and adolescents with cancer.Methods A cross-sectional survey was performed in 112 children and adolescents with cancer aged 7～18 years old from two hospitals with the Chinese version of Uncertainty Scale for Kids-20 and the self-designed demographic questionnaire.Results The mean total scores of illness uncertainty was (45.16±6.67) points.The results of single-factor analysis showed that the factors influencing the uncertainty in illness of children and adolescents with cancer were as follows:age,personality characteristics,course of disease,the methods of treatment,current disease status,absence from school or not,the times of hospitalization,family monthly income,and the extent of parents' understanding about the disease-related knowledge.Multi-factor stepwise regression analysis showed that the main influencing factors of the uncertainty in illness were the current condition,family monthly income,absence from school or not and the extent of parents' understanding about the disease-related knowledge.Conclusions Illness uncertainty is common in children and adolescents with cancer.Nurses should attach importance to the impacts of illness uncertainty,and take effective interventions to decrease it,alleviate psychological pressure and improve quality of life in children and adolescents with cancer.

Objective To understand the association between rs1079727 polymorphism in the DRD2 gene and the distractibility in the school-age children.Method The rs1079727 polymorphisms were genotyped using Sequenom Mass Array and the distractibility was measured based on the Middle Childhood Temperament Questionnaire (MCTQ) in 121 children aged from 8 to 12 years,in order to analyze the function of rs1079727 polymorphism and its interaction with gender or the delivery mode on the distractibility.The results were analyzcd with oneway ANOVA and logistic regression analysis.Results There was association between the distractibility and rs1079727 polymorphism or delivery mode respectively.The means of distractibility for the genotypes of GG (4.37 ±0.53) and AG (4.27±0.69) were significantly higher than that of the genotype of AA(4.01±0.67) (P＜0.05).The proportion of high distractibility in the cesarean children (48.28％) was significantly higher than that in the natural labor children (33.90％) (P＜0.05).The child distractibility occurred through an interaction between rs1079727 polymorphism and gender/delivery mode.The girls with G alleles possessed increased risk of distractibility (OR=2.231,P＜0.05),and the natural labor children with A alleles were tend to be associated with low distractibility(OR =0.048,P＜0.01).Condusion The distractibility based the temperament for the school-age children might be influenced by delivery mode,rs1079727 polymorphism and its interaction with gender/delivery mode.

Objective To investigate the protective effects and mechanisms of granulocyte-colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF)on a rabbit model of chronic myocardial ischemia.Methods Myocardial ischemia models were created by partial ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery in Japanese white male rabbits.Rabbits were subcutaneously injected with G-CSF (G-CSF group)or saline (control group)for 6 days after myocardial ischemia.The percentage of CD34-positive cells in the peripheral blood was evaluated by flow cytometry,and CD34-positive cells homing and vWF expression in the ischemic myocardium were determined by immunohistochemistry.Results Rabbits in G-CSF group had a higher survival rate than those in control group (P <0.05).Immunohistochemistry of the ischemic myocardium showed that compared with control group,G-CSF group had increased homing of CD34-positive cells on day 7 post-surgery,and more vessels on day 28 post-surgery by anti-von Willebrand factor staining.In addition,we observed an increase in the percentage of CD34-positive cells in the peripheral blood in G-CSF group.Conclusion G-CSF produces an obvious protective effect against chronic myocardial ischemia in rabbits by increasing stem cell mobilization,homing to ischemic myocardium and accelerating neovascularization.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of psoriatic arthritis (PsA) in patients with psoriasis and its clinical features.Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted among patients diagnosed with psoriasis from January 2014 to January 2015.Through a questionnaire survey,the diagnosis of PsA was confirmed according to the Classification Criteria for Psoriatic Arthritis (CASPAR) in patients with suspected PsA.Clinical data were collected from patients with newly and previously diagnosed PsA.Statistical analysis was carried out by t test for two-group comparisons,one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) for multi-group comparisons,and chi-square test for comparisons of rates.All the statistical tests were two-sided.Results Totally,1 062 outpatients with psoriasis were enrolled into this study,and 125 were suspected to have PsA.According to the CASPAR,70 (6.59％) patients were finally diagnosed with PsA,with the ratio of male to female being 2.1 ∶ 1,and 45 of them (64.29％) were newly diagnosed.Psoriasis vulgaris lesions were observed in 50 (71.43％) patients with PsA,and were the most common type of skin lesions in patients with PsA.There were 5 clinical types of PsA in these patients,including asymmetrical oligoarthritis (23 cases,32.86％),symmetric polyarthritis (19 cases,27.14％),distal interphalangeal predominant arthritis (10 cases,14.29％),vertebral or sacroiliac arthropathy (7 cases,10.00％),and arthritis mutilans (11 cases,15.71％),with some overlap among these clinical types.As relatively distinctive manifestations of PsA,dactylitis and enthesitis were observed in 14 (20.00％) and 8 cases (11.43％) respectively.In addition,43 (61.43％) cases had nail involvements.Conclusion To master clinical features of PsA and to diagnose it early are of great significance for long-term prognosis of PsA patients.
