Objective To explore hospice home care method of dying children.Methods In 58 cases of dying children at home were given personalized hospice care plan,then the questionnaire were adopted to investigate the related indexes and the results were analyzed.Results In home hospice care,parents had a high recognition and satisfaction to children's pain management and symptom care.The parents with different education background had significant difference in recognition extent of psychological support,games support and death education.The parents anxiety and depression mood got effective mitigation through hospice home care of dying children.Conclusions Implementation of personalized home hospice care can increase life quality of dying children and improve adverse mood of their parents.

Objective To evaluate the effects of simulated family nursing on the cognitive function and activity of daily living in patients with Alzheimer's disease.Methods Sixty-eight patients with Alzheimer's disease were assigned to routine nursing condition and simulated family nursing condition.The patients were assessed with Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and Activity of Daily Living Scale (ADL) before intervention,and 3 months and 6 months after intervention.Results Compared with the control group,the patients' cognitive function (t=2.31,P=0.026) and activity of daily living (t=2.59,P=0.012) were improved significantly in the experimental group.Conclusion The simulated family nursing can improve the cognitive function and activity of daily living in patients with Alzheimer's disease.

Objective To investigate the effects of recombinant human connective tissue growth factor (rCTGF) on the proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis in human osteoblasts. Methods Human osteoblasts were treated with rCTGF, cell proliferation was measured by [3 H] -thymidine ([3 H] -TdR) incorporation method,the activity of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) was determined using α-nitrophenyl phosphate as a substrate, the expression of type Ⅰ collagen was determined by Western blotting, osteocalcin in conditioned media was measured by radioimmune assay, and cell apoptosis was assayed by flow cytometry. Results rCTGF promoted proliferation and differentiation of human osteoblasts in a dose-depentent manner, rCTGF increased ALP activity, osteocalcin and type I collagen secretion in a dose-depentent manner, rCTGF inhibited human osteoblastic apoptosis induced by serum deprivation. Conclusion rCTGF can promote osteoblastic proliferation, and differentiation and protect osteoblast against apoptosis, suggesting that CTGF plays an essential role in bone metabolism.

Objective To investigate the effects of recombinant human connective tissue growth factor (rCTGF) on the expression of osteoprotegerin (OPG) and RANKL ( receptor activator of NF-κB ligand ) in human osteoblasts, as well as the mechanisms involved. Methods Human osteoblasts were treated with rCTGF. The expressions of OPG and RANKL were assessed by Western blotting. The expressions of focal adhesion kinase ( FAK), mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) were also observed. Results rCTGF inhibited RANKL protein expression in a dose-and time-depentent manner in human osteoblasts, while the expression of OPG kept unchanged. rCTGF induced activation of p38MAPK and dephosphorylation of FAK in human osteoblasts, but had no effect on ERK and JNK phosphorylation. p38MAPK inhibitor SB23058 abrogated the inhibitory effect of rCTGF on RANKL in human osteoblasts. Conclusion rCTGF inhibits the expression of RANKL in human osteoblasts via activation of p38MAPK and dephosphorylation of FAK.

This experiment showed that rCTGF increased membrane type-1 matrix metalloproteinase and matrix metalloproteinase-2 protein expression in a dose- and time-depentent manner in human osteoblasts. rCTGF induced activation of p38 MAPK in human osteoblasts. p38 MAPK inhibitor SB23058 abrogated the effect of rCTGF on the expressions of membrane type-1 matrix metalloproteinase and matrix metalloproteinase-2 in human osteoblasts.

Injectable lipid emulsions have been routinely used in patients since 1960s as a nutritional supplement for patients requiring parenteral nutrition. In recent years, lipid injectable emulsions have been extensively studied as a kind of novel drug carrier, also the quality problems of the lipid emulsion attract more and more attentions gradually. Large diameter tail of injectable lipid emulsions as a significant quality control indicator should pay more attention. Regarding to the defect of detecting large diameter tail of lipid injectable emulsions in our country, the purpose of this article is to summarize the techniques of detecting large diameter tail, illustrate the impacts of large lipid droplet on the quality of lipid injectable emulsions, emphasize the importance of detecting large diameter tail in lipid emulsions and provide guidance for researching and developing lipid emulsions in domestic market.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune immune-mediated central nervous system demyelinating disease, which is one of the most frequent disabling neurological diseases in young adults. Accurate diagnosis and timely treatment are crucial to improve the long-term prognosis of patients. Radiomics is an emerging precision image analysis technology, which can high-throughput texture features from medical images for quantitative analysis. In recent years, radiomics has been gradually applied to the analysis of pathological damage, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and prognosis of MS. The research progresses of radiomics in MS were reviewed in this article.

Objective To explore the interaction of streptococcus suis serotype 2 recombinant suilysin ( SLY ) with platelets, and provide the theoretical basis for clinic treatment of patients infected with S.suis.Methods The nickel column affinity chromatography was used to purify the recombinant SLY.The hemolytic acivity was identified by optical density before the platelets aggregation induced by a SLY was detected by a platelet aggregometer or electron microscope and the effect of aspirin on platelets aggregation was analyzed.The impact of wild type 05ZYH33 and sly-deficient mutant strainΔSLY on platelets of mice was compared to predict the interaction of the SLY with platelets in vivo.Results and Conclusion Hemolytic activity of recombinant SLY was 2000 hemolytic units( HU) and platelets aggregation was induced at 1 μg/ml.The aggregation can be inhibited by aspirin in 5 mmol/L.SLY can also increase the volume and reduce the amount of platelets in mice.

Objective To study the expressions of S100A4 and urokinase plasminogen activator(uPA) in pancreatic cancer cells and their correlation with patients prognosis.Methods The expressions of S100A4 and uPA were examined in 63 surgical specimens of primary pancreatic carcinoma by suing immunohistochemistry PV methods,and correlation of their expressions and prognosis of pancreatic cancer was analyzed.Results ( 1 ) Positive immunostaining for S100A4 and uPA was observed in 74.6％ (47 cases) and 65.1％ (44 cases) of 63 pancreatic cancer samples respectively.(2) The positive expressions of S100A4 and uPA were significantly correlated in pancreatic cancer( P =0.000,r =0.567 ).( 3 ) The expression of S100A4 significantly correlated with TNM stages( P =0.002 ),lymph node metastasis ( P =0.002 ) and distant metastasis ( P =0.007 ).The expression of uPA had a significant correlation with TNM stages ( P =0.002),lymph node metastasis ( P =0.001 )and differentiation(P =0.003).(4) Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the median survival (21 months) of patients with S100A4 ( - ) was significantly longer than the median survival ( 9 months) of the patients with S100A4( + )(P=0.000) ;the median survival(9 months) of patients with uPA( + ) was significantly shorter than the median survival ( 18 months) of the patients with uPA ( - ) ( P =0.000) ; the median survival(23 months)of 13 patients with S100A4( - )/uPA( - )was significantly longer than the median survival of other cases ( Log-rank test,x2 =54.444,P =0.000).( 5 ) Cox regression model ( x2 =53.974,P =0.000 )analysis suggested:the differentiation(P =0.004),lymph node metastasis(P =0.017) 、S100A4( + ) expression ( P =0.000) and uPA ( + ) expression ( P =0.001 ) were independent prognostic factors for pancreatic cancer.Conclusion S100A4 and uPA are highly expressed in pancreatic cancer cells,and S100A4 expression has positive correlation with uPA expression,which indicates that the overexpression of S100A4 and uPA maybe poor prognosis factors for pancreatic cancer patients.S100A4 maybe promote extracellular matrix and basement membrane degradation by up-regulation of uPA protein expression,and ultimately promote tumor invasion and metastasis,which is not favorable to prognosis.They may be potential indicators of metastasis and predictors for prognosis of pancreatic cancer.

OBJECTIVETo understand the relationship between the different replication status of HBV and mutations in core promoter in mother and child infected by mother-to-infant transmission.

METHODSCore promoter was amplified by PCR and cloned into pGEM-T vector with T-A cloning technique. The recombinant plasmid pGEM-PreS/S was confirmed by digestion with restriction enzyme Apa I and Sac I. Two clones were selected to sequence each patient.

RESULTSEvery pair of mother and child had same serotype and genotype and the homology of nucleotides encoding "a" determinant was 98 to 100%. The number of mutations in core promoter in patients with high replication status was more than that of low replication status. Mutations were distributed in BCP and Kunitz-type serine protease inhibitor region mainly. This difference was not associated with mother or child.

CONCLUSIONSThe different replication status of HBV is caused by mutations in core promoter in mother and child infected by mother-to-infant transmission and seems not to be associated with the development status.
