Objective To study the effect of surface electromyogram-triggered electrical stimulation on lower limb function in hemiplegic stroke patients. Methods Thirty hemiplegic stroke patients were divided into a treatment group ( 15 cases) and a control group ( 15 cases). Both groups were given conventional rehabilitation training.Additionally, the treatment group was given surface electromyogram-triggered electrical stimulation training, while the control group was given common low frequency electrical stimulation. Brunnstrom's recovery stages, the Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) and electromyographic parameters were assessed before and after 3 courses of treatment. Results After treatment both groups had significantly higher Brunnstrom and FMA scores and better integrated electromyograms(iEMG), but the effects in the treatment group were significantly better than in the control group. Conclusions Surface electromyogram-triggered electrical stimulation training can provide satisfactory rehabilitation of lower limb function in hemiplegic stroke patients.

Objective To investigate the levels of p27kip1 and ki-67 of psoriatic lesions in patients with psoriasis vulgaris. Methods The expression of p27kip1 and ki-67 in psoriatic lesions was determined by immunohistochemistry. Results The level of p27kip1 expression was significantly lower in the plaque-form lesions of the patients with psoriasis than that in the normal controls(P 0.05). The expression level of ki-67 was significantly higher in plaque-form lesions than that in the normal controls(P

Injectable lipid emulsions have been routinely used in patients since 1960s as a nutritional supplement for patients requiring parenteral nutrition. In recent years, lipid injectable emulsions have been extensively studied as a kind of novel drug carrier, also the quality problems of the lipid emulsion attract more and more attentions gradually. Large diameter tail of injectable lipid emulsions as a significant quality control indicator should pay more attention. Regarding to the defect of detecting large diameter tail of lipid injectable emulsions in our country, the purpose of this article is to summarize the techniques of detecting large diameter tail, illustrate the impacts of large lipid droplet on the quality of lipid injectable emulsions, emphasize the importance of detecting large diameter tail in lipid emulsions and provide guidance for researching and developing lipid emulsions in domestic market.

Objective To investigate the in vivo effect of silenced actin-associated protein Transgelin on the growth of human pancreatic carcinoma xenograft in nude mice. Methods Human pancreatic cancer cell line BxPC3 were transfected with small hairpin RNA (shRNA) eukaryotic expression vector targeting Transgelin gene.RT-PCR and Western blot were used to analyze Transgelin expression after transfection.24 animal models were randomly divided into three groups with 8 in each:Experimental group (transplanted BxPC3/Transgelin shRNA),negative control group (transplanted BxPC3/Neo) and untreated group (transplanted BxPC3).Tumor size was measured weekly. All mice were sacrificed after 28 days.Tumor volume was calculated, inhibitory effect was analyzed.Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin sections for Transgelin and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) proteins were performed. Results Tumors varied in sizes among 3 groups (all P < 0.05).On day 21 and 28 tumor was significantly smaller in experimental group than those in control groups.Tumor weighed(0.74 ±0.21) g in experimental group, lower than that in negative control group(1.42 ± 0.28) g and untreated group(1.59 ± 0.24) g (all P < 0.05).The inhibitory effect was 53.5% in experimental group. The PCNA index was significantly lower in experimental group than those in control groups (all P < 0.05).Conclusions Deletion of Transgelin gene can significantly inhibit the proliferation and tumor growth of BxPC3 cells in nude mice.

Objective To explore characteristics and treatment of the clinical crises myasthenia sufferer. Methods Retrospective analysis 32 patients with clinical data of MG crises, intravenous immunoglobulin all. Results Treating group, recovered in 1 case, the basic recovery in 4 cases, markedly effective in 6 cases, improved in 3 cases,Ineffective in 2 cases;the total effective 31.25%.Conclusion Group, recovered in 0 case, the basic recovery in 1 cases, markedly effective in 2 cases, improved in 3 cases,Ineffective in 10 cases; efficient 37.50%.Two groups of efficient comparative greup(X2 = 4.54 ,P <0.05) conclusion:Improved the patients's clinical symptoms after intravenous injection of gamma globulin, and the titer of patients with blood AchRAb significantly lower than that before treatment.

Objective To investigate the effect of bed rest on acute nonspecific low back pain(ANLBP).Methods87 cases were randomly divided into bed rest group (42 cases) and free activity group (45 cases). The bed rest group would be proper activity indoor and step up activity outdoor after absolute in bed for a week. The free activity group would be prescribed free activity. At the same time, all of them received physiotherapy and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).The visual analogous scale (VAS) were measured before and 2 weeks after treatment. The Roland-Morris disability questionnaire (RMDQ) were measured before and 2,6 weeks after treatment.ResultsThe difference of VAS and RMDQ scores between these 2 groups were not significant before treatment (P>0.05),but were significant 2 weeks after treatment(P<0.05).Further more, the difference of RMDQ scores between these 2 groups were not significant 6 weeks after treatment (P>0.05).ConclusionThe bed rest about patients could not promote, but delay the improvement of the pain and disability in the early period or later period recovery of ANLBP.

Objective To investigate the effect of isokinetic training on stiff knees after fracture arrest. Methods 38 fracture patients were divided into observation group (n=19) and control group (n=19) by the medical number. Both 2 groups received the Chinese herbs fumigation and joint mobilization. Besides, the observation group received the isokinetic training, while the control group received the instrument training. The range of motion (ROM), maximum peak torque (PT), peak torque/body weight (PT/BW), average power (AP), and hamstrings/quadriceps (H/Q) were tested before and 16 weeks after training. Results The flexion, straightness and flexion radian became significantly better after training. The flexion and the increase of the flexion radian were significantly better in observation group than in control group after training. All indexes of the isokinetic test significantly improved after training (P<0.001) except H/Q (P>0.05). ROM、PT、PT/BW and AP of the knees joint were significantly better in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.001) after training, while there was no significant difference in H/Q between 2 groups (P>0.05) after training. Conclusion Isokinetic training can promote recovery of stiff knees of femur fracture.

Objective To observe the effect of surface electromyogram biofeedback electrostimulation on ankle dorsiflexion in strokehemiplegics. Methods 60 stroke patients were devided into treatment group (n=30) and control group (n=30). All the patients received routinerehabilitation and ankle intensive training. The treatment group received surface electromyogram biofeedback electrostimulation in addition. They were assessed with Simple Fugl-Meyer Assessment of motor and balance, active range of movement of ankle; and the integratedelectromyogram (iEMG) of isometric contraction of anterior tibialis under maximum ankle dorsiflexion were determined before and aftertreatment. Results The scores of motor and balance, active range of movement of ankle, and the iEMG improved in both groups after treatment(P<0.01), but improved more in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Surface electromyogram biofeedbackelectrostimulation can significantly improve ankle dorsiflexion in patients with hemiplegia.
