Objective To investigate the relationship between HLA-DRB1 alleles and vascular anomalies in infants of Han nationality in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Methods This study included 145 infants with vascular anomalies (99 cases of hemangioma (hemangioma group) and 46 cases of vascular malformation (vascular malformation group)) and 105 healthy infants (control group) of Han nationality residing in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The genotypes of HLA-DRB1 alleles were determined by using PCR-sequence specific primers (PCR-SSP).Chi-square test was performed to analyze the difference in the frequency of HLA-DRB1 alleles between these groups by using the SPSS 16.0 software. Results There were significant differences in the frequency of HLA-DRB1*0901,*1401 and *16 alleles among the hemangioma group, vascular malformation group and control group (x2 =13.05,12.79,10.36,respectively,all P < 0.01).Paired comparison revealed significant differences in the frequency of HLA-DRB1*0901 allele between the hemangioma group and vascular malformation group (RR =4.84,P < 0.01) as well as between the hemangioma group and control group (RR =3.21,P < 0.01),and in the frequency of HLA-DRB1*16 allele between the hemangioma group and control group (RR =2.25,P < 0.01) as well as between the vascular malformation group and control group (RR =2.60,P < 0.01).The frequency of HLA-DR*1401 allele was significantly lower in the hemangioma group than in the control group (RR =0.30,P < 0.01).Conclusions HLA-DRB1*0901 and *16 may be the predisposing genes for hemangioma and vascular anomalies respectively, while HLA-DRB1*1401 appears to be protective against hemangioma,in infants of Han nationality in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Microskin autografts were covered with artificial collagen skin, pig skin and cadaver skin in the rats. The results showed that the adhesion to wound and hemostasis of artificial collagen skin was better than pig or cadaver skins. The histological section of healing wound with artificial collagen skin showed that there were revascularization and fibroblast infiltration. The results suggest that artificial collagen skin may be used instead of allograft.

Objective:To investigate the effect of acupuncture combined with cognitive behavior therapy on insomnia. Methods:A total of 90 patients with insomnia who received treatment in Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Quzhou Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China from June 2018 to June 2020 were included in this study. They were randomly assigned to receive acupuncture combined with cognitive behavior therapy (combined treatment group, n = 46) or cognitive behavior therapy (control group, n = 44). The Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAMD) score, the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) score, the insomnia severity index (ISI), sleep onset latency, total sleep time, wake-up times after sleep onset, bedtime, sleep quality were compared between the two groups. Results:At the end of treatment, the cure rate, effective rate and total effective rate in the combined treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group (cure rate: 28.26% vs. 11.36%, χ2 = 4.013, P = 0.045; effective rate: 54.35% vs. 31.82%, χ2 = 4.649, P = 0.031; total effective rate: 95.65% vs. 79.55%, χ2 = 5.438, P = 0.020). The HAMA score [(13.05 ± 2.19) points], ISI score [(13.01 ± 3.03) points], sleep onset latency [(28.03 ± 7.50) min] and wake-up times after sleep onset [(1.36±0.91) times] in the combined treatment group were significantly lower or shorter than those in the control group [(14.92 ±3.04) points, t = 1.803, P = 0.040; (15.02 ± 3.22) points, t = 3.201, P = 0.031; (36.15 ± 7.87) min, t = 3.186, P = 0.033; (1.94 ± 1.05) times, t = 3.254, P = 0.027]. Sleep quality in the combined treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group [(83.28 ± 5.41) % vs. (79.56 ± 5.20) %, t = 2.278, P = 0.043]. Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with cognitive behavior therapy exhibits better efficacy in the treatment of insomnia than cognitive behavior therapy alone and therefore the combined treatment is worthy of clinical application.

AIM: To observe effect of ? radioactive [103Pd] stent on the proliferation and apoptosis of smooth muscle cells, the mechanism of radioactive stent preventing in-stent restenosis was explored. METHODS: Fifty male New Zealand rabbits were randomized into stent group and [103Pd] stent group. Control group was set up. The materials were harvested on 3, 7, 14, 28, 56 days after operation and the following investigation were carried out, including pathomorphology, immunohistochemistry, apoptosis (TUNEL) and in situ hybridization studies.RESULTS: ① The severity of the stenosis in [103Pd] stent group was less severe than that in stent group. It was most obvious on 56 th day (P

Objective To study the change in sodium channel current(ⅠNa)in the developement of the left ventricular hypertrophy in spontaneously hypertensive rat(SHR).Methods ⅠNa and membrane capacitance(MC)were measured in myocytes of 10,24 and 34-week SHR by the whole-cell patch-clamp technique.Systolic blood pressure(SBP)and left ventricular mass index(LVMI)were detemined.10-week old Wistar rats served as controls. Results LVMI and MC of SHR were significantly higher than those of Wistar rat(P0.05),however the density of ⅠNain 34-week SHR were higher than those of Wistar rat(-18.3?1.9)vs(-15.3?2.0)pA/pF,P

BACKGROUND:microRNA-17 is confirmed to play an important role in the development of pulmonary hypertension. Some research has shown that hypoxia-induced proliferation in human pulmonary artery smooth muscle celldepends on the induction of arginase II. There is no report about whether there is some interaction between microRNA-17 and arginase II in human pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the possible interactions between microRNA-17 and arginase II in hypoxic human pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells.
METHODS:Passage 4 human pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells were cultured in 21%O 2 and 5%CO 2 (normoxia) or 1%O 2 and 5%CO 2 (hypoxia), and then transfected with mimic or inhibitor of microRNA-17 or arginase II-smal interfering RNA. RNA, microRNA and protein were isolated separately. Expression of microRNA-17 and arginase II was detected with real-time quantitative PCR and western blot assay. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The level of microRNA-17 was significantly increased in cultured human pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells exposed to 1%O 2 hypoxia, as was arginase II mRNA and protein expression. Furthermore, inhibition of microRNA-17 expression decreased the mRNA and protein levels of arginase II in the human pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells under hypoxia. Conversely, over-expression of microRNA-17 increased the mRNA and protein levels of arginase II in the human pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells under normoxia and hypoxia. Knockdown of arginase II by siRNA abolished the hypoxia-induced up-regulation of microRNA-17 expression. These findings indicate that arginase II is a target gene of microRNA-17 and can regulate the expression of microRNA-17 in human pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells.

In this study collagen was applied locally for the treatment of burn wound in the rat. Twenty rats weighing 18-22g were made into 7% [1 degree burn model and divided into two groups: collagen group and control group. After burn, collagen (0.4ml, once daily) was smeared on the rat wound in the treatment group, whereas saline (0.4ml, once daily) in the control group. It was found that collagen can significantly accelerate burn wound healing by comparing the wound healing time and histological changes.
