Internet-based practice of stomatology hospitals plays an important role in promoting hierarchical medical system and overcoming the social problems of " high costs and difficulties of medical services" . The authors introduced the practice of free online consultations at a tertiary stomatology hospital during this period. They also analyzed such characteristics of the practice as the doctors′ response rate, doctors′ response timeliness, as well as the specialties and timeframe distribution of patient consultations. The hospital provides online consultations on Guangdong cloud-based hospital platform in two modes. For example, the normal consultation mode operates in a many-many manner, with services provided by attendings and associate chief physicians appointed less than three years. In off hours, patients can also raise questions online. The expert consultation mode offers consultations during business hours in a one-to-one manner, with services provided by associate chief physicians appointed over three years and chief physicians. From February 10 to March 22 2020, 2 156 persons/times of consultations were served in the normal mode, and 1 043 persons/times received in the expert mode. The response timelines of the latter (16.19 min) was much better than the former (27.10 min). In terms of consultation workload of sub-specialties, oral medicine ranked the top (69.30%), while the consultations of the normal mode in work hours accounted for only 73.47% of total consultation workload. It is recommended to optimize resources deployment, introduce artificial intelligent inquiry service, explore an online-offline combined stomatological service, and improve performance management. These measures, when in place, can promote sustainable development of Internet-based stomatology hospitals.

Chinese Journal of Reparative and Reconstructive Surgery 2020;34(4):422-427
Objective: To analyze the restoration of intervertebral height and lordosis of fusion segment after open-transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (Open-TLIF) and minimally invasive-TLIF (MIS-TLIF). Methods: Between January 2013 and February 2016, patients who treated with TLIF due to lumbar degenerative diseases and met the selection criteria were selected as the study objects. Among them, 41 patients were treated with open-TLIF (Open-TLIF group), 34 patients were treated with MIS-TLIF (MIS-TLIF group). There was no significant difference between the two groups ( P>0.05) in gender, age, body mass index, disease type, disease duration, pathological segment, and other general data. The intraoperative bleeding volume, hospital stay, visual analogue scale (VAS) score of waist and leg, and Oswestry disability index (ODI) were recorded before and after operation. The anterior disc height (ADH), posterior disc height (ADH), and segmental lordosis (SL) of fusion segment were measured by X-ray film before and at 6 months after operation. The differences of ADH, PDH, and SL between pre- and post-operation were calculated. Results: The intraoperative bleeding volume and hospital stay in Open-TLIF group were significantly higher than those in MIS-TLIF group ( t=14.619, P=0.000; t=10.021, P=0.000). All incisions healed by first intention without early complications. All patients were followed up 6-24 months (mean, 12.6 months) in Open-TLIF group and 6-24 months (mean, 11.5 months) in MIS-TLIF group. The preoperative VAS scores of waist and leg and ODI of the two groups significantly improved ( P<0.05). There was no significant difference in VAS scores and ODI between the two groups before operation and at 2 weeks and 6 months after operation ( P>0.05). Imaging examination showed the good intervertebral fusion. There was no significant difference in ADH, PDH, and SL between the two groups before operation and at 6 months after operation ( P>0.05). The differences of ADH, PDH, and SL between the two groups were not significant ( P>0.05). The ADH, PDH, and SL after operation significantly increased in the two groups ( P<0.05). Conclusion: Open-TLIF and MIS-TLIF show similar effectiveness and radiological change in the treatment of single lumbar degenerative diseases and the improved intervertebral height and lordosis, but MIS-TLIF can significantly reduce hospital stay and intraoperative blood loss.

OBJECTIVETo compare the effects between mild moxibustion and specific electromagnetic spectrum therapy apparatus (TDP) for obsolete collateral ligament injury of interphalangeal joints.
METHODSSixty patients were randomly divided into a mild moxibustion group and a TDP group, 30 cases in each one. In the mild moxibustion group, pure moxa sticks were used at the affected digital joints locally for 20-30 min a time. In the TDP group, TDP was applied at the affected digital joints locally for 20-30 min a time. The treatment was given once a day for two courses, and 10-day treatment was made into a course. Visual analogue scale (VAS) for pain, swelling degree of the affected digital joints before and after treatment were observed and the clinical efficacy and safety were evaluated in the two groups.
RESULTSThe excellent rate was 56.7% (17/30) and the excellent and, good rate was 83.4% (25/30) in the mild moxibustion group, which were better than 36.7% (11/30) and 76.7% (23/30) in the TDP group respectively (both P < 0.01). After treatment the score of VAS and digital joints swelling degree were improved than those before treatment in the two groups (P < 0.01, P < 0.05), and the improvements of the mild moxibustion group were better than those of the TDP group (P < 0.01, P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONMild moxibustion can apparently relieve the painful and swelling degree of obsolete collateral ligament injury of interphalangeal joints, which is superior to TDP.
