This paper gives the brief account of the researches in the effection of the side- cuts in perineum carried out in two angles (45°and 25~30°) during the helps in child birth between two groups of eutosia on the similar condition:fetal weight the contradict of womb perineum tissue e. g.. The results show that amnong 116 parturients with side- cut in 45( contrated group), the rate of tearing is 62.06%; on the contrary, among 110 parturients with side - cut in 25 ~ 30°( improved group), the rate of tearing is 35.45 %. According to statistics analysis, the rate of tearing in two groups has a marked difference (P<0.01). It directly shows the parturients in improved group have the advantages:shortening the sewing- up time lessening needling numbers reliving of the after - pains making the parturients get out bed some time later and sulkle the new- born babies in sitting way, reducing the nursing, shortening the time of infection.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Yishen Huayu Decoction for decreased ovarian reserve (DOR). Methods Eighty cases of DOR were randomly divided into 2 groups, with 40 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with oral administration of Yishen Huayu Decotion, one dose a day. The control group was given DHEA, a time of 1 tablet, 3 times a day. 2 groups were observed for 3 menstrual cycles. The levels of basic follicle stimulating hormone (bFSH), basal estradiol (bE2), luteinizing hormone (LH) and serum anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) were measured. The number of basal follicles and the peak systolic velocity (PSV) were monitored by transvaginal sonography. Quality of life assessment and basal body temperature were measured. Results The total effective rate was 85.00% (34/40) in the treatment group and 62.50% (25/40) in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of bE2 and bFSH decreased, and the levels of AMH, ovarian antral follicles and PSV increased, which were significantly different from those before treatment (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of bE2 and bFSH in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, and the levels of AMH, ovarian antral follicle and PSV were higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). The recovery rate of basal body temperature was 77.50%(31/40) in the treatment group and 52.50%(21/40) in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.01). After treatment, the scores of four dimensions of life quality, daily activities, health status and self-perception were significantly improved (P<0.01), and the treatment group was higher than the control group (P<0.01). Conclution Yishen Huayu Decotion can improve the ovarian reserve function and the life quality of patients with DOR.

BACKGROUND: Apoptosis secondary to ischemia and hypoxia is the main cause of spinal cord dysfunction. Because of the decrease in atmospheric pressure, patients living on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are in a hypoxic environment, which is very unfavorable for the recovery of spinal cord injury. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy can improve the postoperative function of patients with incomplete spinal cord injury, and its effect is better on the plateau than at normal altitudes.OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of hyperbaric oxygen therapy on traumatic spinal cord injury in patients living on the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau.METHODS: This prospective, open-label, randomized controlled clinical trial was performed at the Department of Spine Surgery, Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University, China. In total, 164 patients with incomplete traumatic spinal cord injury were equally and randomly assigned to a control group and a hyperbaric oxygen therapy group. Patients in the control group were treated with pedicle screw fixation and decompressive laminectomy. In addition to the surgical treatment performed in the control group, patients in the hyperbaric oxygen group underwent hyperbaric oxygen therapy at 0.2 MPa once a day for four treatment courses. Ten treatment sessions constituted one course, and each course was separated by a 5- to 7-day rest interval. The primary outcome was the modified Barthel index to assess activities of daily living. The secondary outcomes were the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) impairment scale grade, sensory score, and motor score. The study protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University, China (Approval number: QHC011K). Written informed consent was provided by a relative or legal representative of each patient after they had indicated that they fully understood the treatment plan. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The partial results demonstrated that after four treatment courses (55-61 days), the modified Barthel index and ASIA tactile, pain, and motor scores were higher in the hyperbaric oxygen group than in the control group. The ASIA grades were significantly different between the hyperbaric oxygen group and control group. The proportion of patients with ASIA grades D and E was higher in the hyperbaric oxygen group than in the control group. In this trial, we aim to determine the efficacy of hyperbaric oxygen therapy on the treatment of incomplete traumatic spinal cord injury in patients living on the plateau and to provide clinical evidence for treating incomplete traumatic spinal cord injury in these patients.

The paraventricular thalamic nucleus (PVT) is a key nucleus involved in wakefulness. PVT plays an important role in normal sleep-wake regulation, but its role may vary during anesthesia depending on the stage of anesthesia. This article will review the role of PVT in sleep and anesthesia based on its wakefulness function neural pathways.
