OBJECTIVE:To put forward a proposal for the name standardization of Chinese herbal pieces. METHODS:Through searching literatures and analyzing each edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia,the existing problems about the name of Chi-nese herbal pieces in the 2015 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia were found out to put forward solutions. RESULTS & CONCLU-SIONS:There are many non-standard problems,such as non-standard name of crude Chinese herbal pieces,non-standard name of processed Chinese herbal pieces,jingandganadded before the name of Chinese herbal pieces,pianadded after the name of Chinese herbal pieces. Based on these problems,suggestions for naming processed and non-processed Chinese herbal pieces were put forward,including noting processing method before the name of Chinese herbal medicines,adding processed form name after the name of Chinese herbal medicines,adding accessories name before the name of Chinese herbal medicines,maintaining the consistency and completeness of the names of Chinese herbal pieces and medicines,must markingshengwhen using toxic Chi-nese medicine pieces in medical treatment,and no appearing of the tablets in the name,etc.

Objective To study the occurrence of BRCA1 MSI in endometrial cancer and its relationship with clinic pathologic features; to explore the correlation between MSI and protein expression in BRCA1 gene. Methods Application of PCR-SSCP and DNA sequence analysis method was used to study D17S579 and D17S1349 in 49 sporadic endometrial cancer tissues, 20 cases with endometrial atypical hyperplasia and 28 cases with normal endometrial tissues. Results In the total samples of D17S579 and D17S1349, the three groups were significantly different: 34.69%(17/49) in the endometrial cancer group, 10%(2/20) in the endometrial atypical hyperplasia group and 7.14%(2/28) in the normal endometrium group (χ2= 11.208, P = 0.004). BRCA1 MSI positive rate related to the pathology grade and clinical stage, but no relationship was found in muscular infiltration depth, lymph node metastasis and histopathology types. In the endometrial cancer group, BRCA1 MSI positive rate and BRCA1 protein expression were in moderate correlated negatively (r = -0.779, P = 0.000). Conclusion BRCA1 MSI might play a role in the development of endometrial cancer, and low expression of BRCA1 protein. BRCA1 MSI might be associated with pathology grade and clinical stages in EC.

ObjectiveTo observe the efficacy of maintenance hormonal treatment after response to chemotherapy in advanced breast cancer. Methods8 patients with advanced breast cancer were treated with chemotherapy,maintenance hormonal therapy were given after response to chemotherapy.The efficacy was evaluated every 2 cycles of chemotherapy and 2 months of endocrine therapy according to RECIST standard.Results8 patients received chemotherapy for 2-8 cycles (median 4 cycles). All patients got PR, the duration of chemotherapy was 1-6 months (median 2 months), the time to failure of chemotherapy was 4 months. Until the last follow-up day (31th December 2010), the time to progression was 6-86 months (median 13.5 months).Survival was 6-86 months(median 21.5 months).Seven patients quit the chemotherapy due to severe side effects of hematologic toxicity,fatigue or nausea vomiting.One patient died because of allergy to paclitaxol.Conclusion Maintenance hormonal treatment after patients with metastatic breast cancer response to chemotherapy may prolong the duration of effective therapy and improve the QOL.

OBJECTIVE To study the possibility of air sterilization with solution of camphor leaves. METHODS Every six adjacent sickrooms that had same volume from 9 different clinical sectors were randomly selected for testing.Air of all sickrooms were sterilized by atomizing with solution of camphor leaves that was rough made by boiling and filtering and by direct irradiating with ultraviolet ray respectively.And then screened the sterilization effect of two methods respectively by air culture. RESULTS After sterilization with 100% solution of camphor leaves,all sickrooms were in line with standard of class Ⅲ(500 CFU/m~3),and 70% sickrooms were in line with class Ⅱ(200CFU/m~3).Both atomizing with solution of camphor leaves and direct irradiating with ultraviolet ray showed obvious effect,the result of air culture indicated that CFU of microorganisms were significant differrent between pre-sterilization and post-sterilization in both methods(P0.25). CONCLUSIONS Camphor leaves are very effective for sterilization and deserve to spread.

Objective To investigate clinical and pathological features of lupus erythematosus profundus (LEP)of the scalp in children.Methods A retrospective study was carried out on 5 children with LEP.The clinical and histopathological features,treatment and prognosis of LEP were analyzed.Results The 5 children with LEP included 2 boys and 3 girls with a median age at onset of 5 months (range,2-38 months) and a median clinical course of 15 months (range,4-72 months).Clinically,the patients presented with arc-shaped or circular purple atrophic plaques on the scalp complicated by alopecia.The occipitalia and tempora were the most commonly involved sites.Antinuclear antibodies (ANA) and extractable nuclear antigens (ENAs) were negative in all the patients.Main histopathological changes were hyaline degeneration of the fat,mucin deposition and local aggregation of lymphocytes in fat lobules.Of the 5 patients,2 were treated with oral prednisone (1.5-2 mg/kg/day),1 with oral hydroxychloroquine (5 mg/kg/day),1 with oral prednisone (1.5 mg/kg/day) combined with hydroxychloroquine (5 mg/kg/day),and another 1 with topical halometasone cream and 0.03％ tacrolimus ointment.Lesions were remissed after 2-3 months of treatment,and subsided with growth of new hairs after 6 months.No recurrence was observed during a 1.5-year follow-up.Conclusion Prednisone and hydroxychloroquine are markedly effective for LEP,and pediatric patients with LEP may be treated by topical highpotency glucocorticoids and calcineurin inhibitors.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) in classification of fetal arrhythmias, and conclude characters of each type of arrhythmias by analyzing wave forms of TDI. Methods Fifty-five fetuses suffered arrhythmia were included in study group. By comparing the results with control standard(M and PW), the sensitivity, specificity and reliability of TDI in diagnosis of fetal arrhythmias was calculated. At last, the character of waves by TDI of each type of arrhythmia was concluded. Fetal kinetocardiogram was made to identify the origin of arrhythmias. All cases were asked to perform electrocardiography and echocardiography examination after birth. Results The sensitivity, specificity and reliability of TDI was 98%, 100% and 100%, respectively. The character of atrioventricular waves and kinetocardiogram of 8 types fetal arrhythmias were conclude. Conclusions TDI has great value in classification of fetal arrhythmias.

Objective To analyze factors associated with the relapse of propranolol-treated infantile hemangioma.Methods The clinical data were collected from 235 children with infantile hemangioma who had discontinued propranolol for 6 months,and retrospectively analyzed.Factors for the relapse of propranolol-treated infantile hemangioma were analyzed by univariate and multivariate unconditional logistic regression analyses.Results Of 235 patients followed for 6 months after drug withdrawal,66 (28.1％) were identified to have recurrence of infantile hemangioma,of whom,15 (22.7％) had severe recurrence.The risk of recurrence was significantly increased in patients taking propranolol at a daily dosage of 1.5 mg/kg compared with those taking propranolol at a daily dosage of 2 mg/kg (OR =3.566,95％ CI:1.306-9.739),in patients aged ＞ 8 weeks at the initial drug treatment compared with those aged ≤ 8 weeks at the initial drug treatment (OR =5.043,95％ CI:1.248-20.376),in patients with the course of medication ≤ 6 months compared with those with the course of medication ＞ 6 months (OR =17.661,95％ CI:4.899-63.665),as well as in patients aged ＜ 1 year at drug withdrawal compared with those aged ≥ 1 year at drug withdrawal (OR =6.089,95％ CI:1.835-20.204).Conclusion There are many risk factors associated with the relapse of propranolol-treated infantile hemangioma,so some measures aimed at these risk factors should be taken to reduce the recurrence rate.

Objective To analyze the outcome and prognosis-related factors of MA (mitoxantrone+cytarabine) regimen for acute myeloid leukemia(AML). Methods 102 untreated AML patients were treated with MA. All patients were divided into two groups according to age, blood white cell count(WBC), FrenchAmerican-British (FAB) morphology, level of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and immunophynotype respectively.Analyze the prognosis-related factors. Results The complete remission (CR), partial remission (PR), nonresponse (NR) rate, and remission rate (CR+PR) of all the 102 cases were 63.73 % (65/102), 17.65 % (18/102), 18.62 % (419/102)and 81.38 % (83/102) respectively. The patients younger than 60 years old, WBC＜100×109/L, LDH≤600 U/L, FAB-M2 morphology group had higher CR and remission rate. The CR rate of patients with CD7 positive had statistical difference from that of patients with CD7 negative (P ＜0.05), but the remission rate not. However, the CR and remission rate of patients with CD19 positive had no statistical difference from that of patients with CD19 negative (P ＞0.05). Conclusion These results suggest that use of MA regimen was effective and safe for AML. Age, WBC, FAB morphology, level of LDH and CD7 expression are prognosis-related factors for clinical outcome.

Objective To study the inhibitory effect of antimicrobial peptide LL-37 on Candida albicans through its ability to promote the secretion of immune factors by vaginal epithelial cells. Methods (1) LL-37 prokaryotic expression vector pET-Duet/LL-37 was constructed and its expression was induced in Escherichia coli M15. The expressed LL-37 fusion protein was purified and identified by western blot. Antifungal activity of the purified protein was initially identified by Kirby-Bauer (K-B) method. (2) Purified LL-37 protein was added to human vaginal epithelial cells co-cultured with Candida, and inhibitory effect on Candida growth was determined by the glucose consumption method. Interferon γ (IFN-γ), interleukin 10 (IL-10) concentration and IFN-γ/IL-10 ratio were measured by ELISA at different time points. Results (1) LL-37 fusion protein was purified to 96% purity at a concentration of 433.92 μg/ml, and was shown to possess anti-fungal activity confirmed by the K-B method. (2) A Candida-vaginal epithelial cells co-culture system was successfully constructed. LL-37 recombinant protein inhibited the growth of Candida with absorbance values significantly higher in the treatment group compared to the control group at all measured time points (12-hour:3.008±0.003 versus 2.967±0.003, 24-hour:2.941±0.003 versus 2.601±0.003, 48-hour:2.893 ± 0.004 versus 2.409 ± 0.003; all P<0.01). Furthermore, the rate of decrease was also much slower compared to the control group. In both control and experimental groups, IFN-γ and IL-10 secretion levels were observed to rise at first peaking at 24 hours and subsequently decrease. For each time period, IFN-γconcentration in the experimental group was significantly higher at 24 hours compared to the control group [(104.00 ± 1.07) versus (85.17 ± 0.28) pg/ml, P<0.01]. In contrast, IL-10 concentrations were significantly lower than the control group at all time points (P<0.01). IFN-γ/IL-10 ratio was also observed to be significantly higher than the control group at all measured time points (P<0.01). Conclusions (1) Recombinant protein LL-37 could significantly inhibit the growth of Candida. (2) By influencing the secretion of immune factors such as IFN-γ, IL-10, etc, recombinant protein LL-37 is able to adjust vaginal epithelial cells local immunity, and enhance resistance to Candida infection.
