AIM To explore the effects of Xuebijing Injection (Carthami Flos,Salviae miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma,Paeoniae Radix Rubra, etc.) on serum CRP,TNF-α and IL-6 levels in patients with severe acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning (AOPP).METHODS Seventy-two cases of patients with AOPP treated from Jan 2014 to Mar 2016 in the emergency department of our hospital were randomly divided into two groups, the control group treated with atropine, pralidoxime chloride and conventional treatment, and the observation group combined with Xuebijing Injection. The dynamic changes of serum CRP,TNF-α and IL-6 levels, and clinical curative effects were compared between the two groups.RESULTS The serum CRP,TNF-α and IL-6 levels in the two groups were decreased in turn before the treatment,at the 3rd,7th days after the treatment, and the serum CRP,TNF-α and IL-6 levels in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group;the dosage of atropine, time of cholinesterase activity recovered 60% and hospital stay in the observation group were significantly less than those in the control group;the rebound rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group. The acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group. All the differences had statistical significances (P < 0.05).CONCLUSION Xuebijing Injection can effectively inhibit the inflammatory response, reduce the incidence of complications, shorten the course, and improve the clinical efficacy in the treatment of patients with AOPP.

Atomic absorption spectrometry was employed to determine the levels of 7 essential trace elements in the whole blood of 150 mainteinance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. And comparisons were made with the normal group of 200 participants in routine medical examination at the same time at our hospital. And among 7 indices,as compared with the control group, the blood levels of zinc, chromium, cobalt and manganese were significantly lower (P < 0.05) while those of selenium and copper higher (P < 0.05).MHD patients lacked essential trace elements to a varying extent.A clinician should pay attention to complementing essential trace elements to improve the patient's quality of life.

AIM: To probe into the anti-epilepsy action of artificial Calculus Bovis,by observing its effect on the behavioral of the experimental epileptic rats, neuron loss in the hippocampus and hilus, and GAD positive cell alteration in the hippocampus.METHODS: SD rats were divided into three groups: group A(artificial Calculus Bovis treatment group);group B(acute epilepsy group) and group C(control group).A model of acute epilepsy rats was established by PTZ.The rat's behavioral alteration was observed by the Racine' scale. The neurons in the hippocampus and hilus were calculated by Nissl staining. The GAD positive cells were observed by immunohistochemical staining.RESULTS: The latency of the first seizure in group A was longer than that in group B,while the seizure times in group A was less than that in group B.Besides,in group A,both the neuron loss amount in the hippocampus and hilus and the GAD positive cell loss amount in the hippocampus were less than those in group B.CONCLUSION: The artificial Calculus Bovis prolonged the latency of the first seizure time, decreased the frequency of seizure, and prevented the neuron loss and protected the GAD positive cells.

Objective To investigate the relationship between neonatal asphyxia and meconium and fetal heart rate monitoring. Methods A total of 675 cases of newborns born birth selected from January 2012 to July 2013 in our hos-pital were retrospective analyzed, neonatal asphyxia were 131 cases, according to the degree of asphyxia they were di-vided into two groups, the mild asphyxia group had 75 cases, the severe asphyxia group had 56 cases. According to whether had meconium and the degree they were divided into four groups, the amniotic fluid clear group had 26 cases, degree Ⅲ neonatal pollution group had 31 cases, degree Ⅱ neonatal pollution group had 48 cases, degree Ⅰ neonatal pollution group had 26 cases. Results The neonatal asphyxia rate of neonatal pollution group was significantly higher than amniotic fluid clear group, the difference was significant (P<0.05). The fetal heart monitor newborns abnormal in-cidence of the amniotic fluid clear group were significantly higher than varying degrees of neonatal pollution groups, the difference was significant (P<0.05). The incidence of abnormal fetal heart monitor newborns of degree Ⅲneonatal pol-lution group, degree Ⅱ neonatal pollution group and degree Ⅰ neonatal pollution group were lower in turn, there was significant difference among three groups(P<0.05). Conclusion Neonatal asphyxia, meconium and fetal heart rate moni-toring correlation larger obstetric clinicians want to pay close attention to the whole process of childbirth, the incidence of neonatal asphyxia is significantly reduced.

Objective To investigate the radioprotection and management of yttrium-90 resin microsphere therapy based on the survey and monitoring of treatment institutions in Guangdong Province, China, and to provide technical reference and basis for the subsequent radiation management of this therapy. Methods Based on the technical data on yttrium-90 resin microsphere therapy collected from both domestic and international sources, an investigation was conducted on some yttrium-90 resin microsphere treatment institutions in Guangdong Province. Radiation level monitoring was carried out in the radioactive workplaces of three hospitals that had conducted yttrium-90 resin microspheres therapy. Environmental X-γ dose rate meters were used for detecting radiation dose equivalent rates, while α and β surface contamination monitors were used for detecting radioactive surface contamination. Additionally, urine samples from two patients were collected within 24 hours post-operation, and total radioactivity was analyzed using low-background α and β counters. Results During the yttrium-90 resin microsphere therapy, the radiation dose equivalent rates around the digital subtraction angiography rooms in the three hospitals ranged from 0.15 to 0.26 μSv/h, and the radiation dose equivalent rates around the observation wards ranged from 0.17 to 0.69 μSv/h. The β radioactive surface contamination values in the workplace control zones ranged from <0.07 to 18.7 Bq/cm², while the values in the supervised zones were all less than 0.07 Bq/cm². The total β radioactivity in the urine of the two patients within 24 hours post-operation accounted for approximately
