Journal of Practical Stomatology 1995;0(04):-
Objective:To compare the healing of gingiva after electrosurgical gingivectomy with different power outputs and electrodes. Methods:15 rabbits were randomly assigned to 3 groups which used different electrodes: needle electrode, long loop electrode and loop electrode. 1 animal was chosen as control in each group. Free gingiva of anterior teeth had been removed 2 mm in height with different power output and electrosurgical knife. Gingival specimens were harvested for histopathological study on days 1,7,14,and 21 after operation. Statistical analysis was performed on wound healing. Results:Electrical knife with medium power output caused significantly higher degree of inflammation than other techniques(P0.05). Conclusion:When electrosurgery is used on gingiva, there is no significantly difference with different electrodes. Longer observation is needed after gingival electrosurgery with medium power output electrical knife.

Objective To compare the effects of mizolastine intensive dose and mizolastine conventional dose+momestasone furoate on symptom score and laboratory index of patients with allergic rhinitis caused by pollen allergy. Methods From June 2016 to January 2018,one hundred and fifty allergic rhinitis patients caused by pollen allergy were chosen in the First People's Hospital of Taizhou and randomly divided into two groups according to the digital table, with 75 patients in each group.A group was treated with mizolastine intensive dose scheme, and B group was treated with mizolastine conventional dose +momestasone furoate. The short -term efficacy, rhinitis symptoms score, the levels of histamine, leukotrienes C4,IL-6,IL-8 and TNF-α before and after treatment, the incidence of adverse reactions and daily treatment cost of the two groups were compared. Results The short-term efficacy of B group was significantly better than that of A group(93.33% vs.81.33% ,χ2 =9.15,P<0.05).The rhinitis symptoms scores of B group[(0.49 ± 0.19)points,(1.02 ± 0.20) points,(0.95 ± 0.28) points,(0.84 ± 0.20)points] after treatment were significantly lower than those of A group [(0.87 ± 0.21) points,(1.40 ± 0.24) points,(1.63 ± 0.36)points,(1.19 ± 0.27) points] and before treatment[(3.13 ± 1.06) points,(2.88 ± 0.57) points,(2.81 ± 0.79)points,(2.85 ± 0.61)points](t=2.45,2.71,2.66,2.89,3.78,3.75,3.44,4.53,all P<0.05).The levels of histamine, leukotrienes C4,IL-6,IL-8 and TNF-α of B group[(15.76 ± 3.54) mg/L,(12.17 ± 3.58) mg/L, (1.23 ± 0.19)mg/L,(3.27 ± 0.62)mg/L,(3.96 ± 1.05)mg/L] after treatment were significantly lower than those of A group [(19.58 ± 5.25) mg/L,(15.44 ± 4.14) mg/L,(1.96 ± 0.33)mg/L,(5.40 ± 0.88) mg/L,(5.01 ± 1.40)mg/L] and before treatment[(24.57 ± 7.67) mg/L,(18.90 ± 6.33) mg/L,(2.58 ± 0.54) mg/L,(7.66 ± 1.17)mg/L,(6.81 ± 1.67)mg/L](t=2.31,2.50,2.53,2.39,3.05,3.60,3.10,3.57,3.90,all P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence rate of adverse reactions between the two groups ( P >0.05).The daily treatment cost of B group after treatment was significantly less than that of A group and before treatment[(7.56 ± 1.02)CNY vs.(6.88 ± 0.80)CNY,t=3.12,P<0.05].Conclusion Compared with mizolas-tine intensive dose scheme, mizolastine conventional dose + momestasone furoate in the treatment of patients with allergic rhinitis caused by pollen allergy can efficiently relieve the nasal symptoms, down - regulate the levels of histamine, leukotriene C4 and inflammatory cytokines, reduce the treatment cost and has the approved safety.

Objective To investigate the potential effects of rosuvastatin on white matter lesion and spatial memo?ry function in chronic hypertensive rats. Methods Fourty-nine male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into sham-operation group, vehicle-treated group, and rosuvastatin-treated group (10 mg/kg).A model of stroke-prone reno?vascular hypertensive rat (RHRSP) was induced by using the two-kidney two clip method in the vehicle-treated group and the rosuvastatin-treated group. Blood pressure was monitored regularly. Morris water maze experiment was conduct?ed to assess spatial memory function. Luxol fast blue stanning was used to examine the degree of leukoaraiosis. Immuno?fluorescence and electron microscopy was used to detectβ-amyloid deposits. TUNEL staining was used to assess apopto?sis. Results The blood pressure of RHRSP increased progressively after operation.Blood pressure was significantly high?er in RHRSP than in sham-operation group (P<0.01). The escape latencies of the rosuvastatin-treated group were mark?edly shorter in RHRSP than in sham-operation group (P<0.01). The numbers of crossing hidden platform in the 3 groups of rats were 4.55±1.23, 1.00±0.80 and 3.79±0.95 times. There were significantly differences in numbers of crossing hid? den platform among three groups (P<0.01). Luxol fast blue stanning showed that the grading scores for WML were lower in the rosuvastatin-treated than in the vehicle-treated group (P<0.01). Rosuvastatin significantly decreased the burden of Aβdeposits(17.47±3.59 vs. 4.42±1.57,P<0.01)and the TUNEL+cells(37.84±4.73 vs. 14.42±2.43,P<0.01)in the fron?tal cortex when compared with the vehicle-treated group. Conclusions Rosuvastatin may ameliorate spatial memory func?tion through attenuation of white matter lesion, Aβdeposits and apoptosis .

As novel organisms, tumors undergo microevolution in limited time and space in vivo.Due to genetic mutations and epigenetic mechanisms, tumor cell clones undergo linear or branching evolution. In most clinic patients, tumors develop through branching evolution pathways, causing tumor heterogeneity and affecting tumor progression.Microevolution is the biological basis for the refractoriness and recurrence of tumors and has been paid attention in research and clinic recently. In this paper, acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) are used as examples to demonstrate tumor microevolution and the concept of linear and branching evolution.Questions and perspective in the field of tumor microevolution research are also discussed.

Cell death as the partner of cell proliferation is one of the basic mechanism in cell biology. Recently, it became obscure since more and more patterns of cell death were reported. However, the classification of cell death, which was recommended by the Nomenclature Committee on Cell Death (NCCD) in 2009, clarified the criteria. The theme of the recommendation and recent data from the literature were discussed in this review. The significance of studies on cell death was discussed.

After near a century of research, the diverse and complicated relationship between viruses and tumors has been elucidated gradually.Last century it was demonstrated that some retroviruses and some herpes viruses could induce lymphoma and leukemia in some animals. However,it is more complicated in human.During the last two decades it has been confirmed that several types of hepatitis viruses could cause hepatocellular carcinoma and the relationship between human papillomaviruses and cervix carcinoma has been established. These viral vaccines became useful tools to prevent prevalence of these carcinomas.Because of the successful inoculation of live attenuated viral vaccines all around the world in recent 15 years, oncolytic virotherapy is revived, and provides a novel strategy for treatment of refractory tumors.
