Liposarcoma is the most common soft tissue sarcoma.Liposarcoma is widely diverse in the clinical, pathological, and molecular characteristics.Surgery is still the mainstay of liposarcoma therapy and the only cure way. With the development of molecular biology,as well as the discovery of molecular pathways, oncogenes and anti-oncogenes,it is possible to treat liposarcoma with targeted drugs.

ObjectiveTo investigate the prevalence and the characteristics of heart failure (HF) in medical intensive care unit (ICU) so as to explore the factors contributing to HF.Methods A retrospective analysis of the data of HF was carried out in 887 HF patients (54. 2% ) males; age (69.83± 13.57) years oldadmitted to the medical ICU from October 2006 through June 2010. Clinical variables were systematically reviewed for all enrolled patients. HF as either major or additional diagnosis was recorded and the potential risk factors for HF were explored. Left ventricular systolic function was evaluated in HF patients by using ejection fraction (EF) measured by echocardiography. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to identify the independent factors contributing to HF in medical ICU patients. Results Of the 887 patients, 74. 1% aged 65 years or over, and 53% had organ dysfunction. The prevalence of HF in medical ICU patients was 22. 8%. Echocardiography measurement revealed that left ventricular systolic function was preserved in 62. 5% of HF patients with an EF > 50%. Underlying heart diseases were identified in 72. 8% of the HF patients, and coronary artery disease accounted for the vast majority (52. 5% ), followed by valvular heart disease ( 17. 8% ). Structural heart diseases were not identified in 27. 2% of the HF patients. 4) After the adjustment of age and gender, multivariate regression analysis showed that coronary artery disease ( OR =7. 364, 95% CI: 4. 979 ~ 10. 890, P <0. 01 ), valvular heart disease ( OR =18. 023, 95% CI: 9. 280 ~ 35. 002, P < 0. 01 ), diabetes mellitus ( OR =2. 154, 95% CI: 1. 227 ~ 3. 784, P =0. 0076), respiratory failure ( ( OR =1. 527, 95% CI: 1. 045 ~ 2. 229, P =0. 0285 ), and renal dysfunction ( OR =2. 638, 95% CI: 1. 621 ~ 4. 294, P =0. 0001 ) were associated with risk increased for HF in medical ICU. ConclusionsHF is highly prevalent in medical ICU and its etiology is multi-factorial. The high rate of HF with preserved EF highlights the importance of enhanced alertness for HF with preserved systolic function in ICU.

Objective To investigate the effects ofZhenqi-Fuzheng capsule combined with highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) the Thl/Th2, Tcl/Tc2, and CD4+ T lymphocytes in patients with advanced AIDS.Methods A total of 70 patients with advanced AIDS were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group, with 35 patients in each group. The treatment group was treated withZhenqi-Fuzheng capsule combined with HAART, while the control group was treated with HAART only. The patients in both groups were treated for 24 weeks. The Thl, Th2, Tcl, Tc2 and CD4+ T lymphocytes in peripheral blood were detected by flow cytometer. Results After treatment, the ratios of Th1/Th2 (6.27 ± 0.70vs. 5.39 ± 0.64;P<0.05) and Tcl/Tc2 (10.70 ± 0.68vs. 10.16 ± 0.85;P<0.05) in the treatment group showed significantly higher than those in the control group. The CD4+T lymphocytes after the treatment in both groups showed significantly increased than that before the treatment (treatment group: 289.2 ± 101.5/mlvs. 121.1 ± 77.5/ml,P<0.01; control group: 231.6 ± 97.6/mlvs. 118.9 ± 76.2/ml,P<0.01). The CD4+T lymphocytes in the treatment group showed significantly increased than that in the control group after the treatment (P<0.05).ConclusionsZhenqi-Fuzhengcapsule combined with HAART may regulate the Thl/Th2 and Tcl/Tc2, and increase the CD4+ T lymphocytes in patients with advanced AIDS.

Our studies tried to demonstrate Eha (Et haemolysin activator) could regulate the resistance of the bacterium against acidification to survive in the macrophage and explain its underlying molecular mechanism. When the bacteria infected the macrophages at time intervals, intracellular survival rate in bafilomycin-treated macrophages was higher than that with untreated cells, and the rate of wild type ET 13 was higher than that of its eha mutant, respectively (P<0.05).The survival rate of the wild type was higher than that of the mutant under acid treatment (P<0.05).To determine the conditions that induced the highest eha expression,we constructed a pMP220-Peha LacZ plasmid and determined the lacZ expression under different conditions. After exposure of pH6.3 medium for 2 h time,we performed the whole transcriptomic profiles of the wild type and mutant by RNA-sequencing.We identified 147 differentially-expressed genes ([log2 ratio| ≥1),113 and 34 of which were significantly up-and down-regulated,respectively in the mutant, comparing with the wild type. These findings were validated by qRT-PCR.GO functional analysis revealed that these genes were divided into 25 categories, including the bacterial catalysis, cellular composition, combination, localization, metabolism, processing, and transportation.Based on the KEGG database, these genes were distributed in 55 pathways, such as two-component system,ABC transporters, and microbial metabolism in diverse environments.Overall,Eha is an important regulator to affect all kinds of target genes and pathways for E.tarda to adapt to an acid environment. These results could be helpful for further investigations of the mechanisms by which E.tarda survives in macrophages.

OBJECTIVE To know the bacterial distribution in the blood of septicemia patients and the characteristics of drug resistance.METHODS To train the blood in BD BACTEC 9050 full-automatic blood training system and to analyze it in the FOUTUNE IMS bacterial identification and hypersusceptibility analysis system of Fuxing Company.RESULTS The Gram-negative bacilli were in superiority with 64.9% of the total isolated bacteria. Then were the Gram-positive cocci, and Staphylococcus were the main. The Enterococcus and fungi were with a certain proportion. The drugs to which had relatively low resistance for the Gram-positive bacilli and the Gram-positive cocci were the carbapenems, the enzyme inhibitors and vancomycin.CONCLUSIONS The Gram-negative bacilli get priority in the blood bacteria in patients with septicemia during the last two years, the enterococci and fungi have a certain proportion. And the pathogenic bacteria have higher resistance clinically to antibacterial drugs.
