Objective To investigate the relation between the changes d myocardial collagen content before and after ventricu-lar assist device (LVAD) application and the prognosis in dilated cardiomyopathy. Methods Patients was divided to two groups ac-cording to the prognosis (weaning or transplantation) after LVAD application. Left ventricular samples were collected from the patients (weaning group n= 10, transplanted group n=8) at the time the LVADs were implanted, and again during cardiac transplantation ( n = 8 ). The content of neutral salt soluble collagen (NSC) and acid soluble collagen (ASC) were measured by Sired collagen assay and total collagen and insoluble collagen (ISC) by quantification of hydroxyproline. Moreover, protein quantification of each collagen fraction was performed simultaneously. Results Before LVAD implantation all collagen fraction and their protein contents were higher in the weaning group than that in the transplanted group ( P <0.05), but the difference in the collagen fraction disappeared after LVAD support. Comparison of the pre- and post-LVAD subgroups of the transplanted group showed an increase of NSC and its protein content and total hydroxyproline after LVAD support (P<0.05). Conclusion The significances of myocardial intersititial remodeling in DCM are not identical. Some myocardial collagen and protein content increases may be related to good prognosis. The mechanism of LVAD improving cardiac function may be related to the changes of myocardial intersitial collagen.

Objective To explore the influence of partial splenic embolization (PSE) on the factors related to alimentary canal bleeding in hepatocirrhosis. Methods Forty-nine cases of hepatocirrhosis patient with alimentary canal bleeding were selected according to the sequence of entrance. In these patients, 28 cases were set in treatment group and the rest 21 cases were control group. Besides basic therapeutic measures PSE technique were given to the patients of treatment group, while the patients in control group received basic therapeutic measures only. And the blood routine test, prothrombin time(PT), liver function tests, B type ultrasonography and gastroscopy were conducted or observed respectively before operation and 7 days, 1 month, 6 months, 1 year after operation. Objective To investigate the prevalence and influencing factors of sub-health status of the migrant workers in Dongguan City,in order to provide scientific preferences for preventing sub-health status.Methods Using the stratified random sampling method,740 migrant workers from ten towns(disetricts) in Dongguan city from August 2015 to August 2016 were recruited in this study.The sub-health measurement scale version 1.0 (SHMS V1.0) was applied to evaluate the sub-health status of migrant workers.The SHMS V1.0 scores were compared among migrant workers with different demographic characteristics,and the multivariate linear regression analysis was utilized to explore the influencing factors.Results A total of 718 valid questionnaires were collected,and the effective recovery rate was 97.03％.The sub-health status was detected in 483 migrant workers,and the prevalence rate of sub-health status was 81.6％.The migrant workers' subscale scores of physical sub-health (PS),mental subhealth (MS),social sub-health (SS) and total scale (TS) were (70.25-4-12.25),(64.21± 13.83),(62.21-4-13.87) and (66.114-11.15),respectively.The PS scale scores among migrant workers with different monthly household incomes per capita,and different inhabit situations;the MS scale scores among migrant workers with different ages,educations,marital status,monthly household incomes per capita,and inhabit situations;the SS scale scores among migrant workers with different genders,educations,and inhabit situations;and TS scores mong migrant workers with different educations,monthly household incomes per capita,and inhabit situations were statistically significant different (P＜0.05).The multivariate linear regression analysis showed that educations and inhabit situations were the influencing factors for TS score (P＜0.05).Conclusion The sub-health status of migrant workers in Dongguan City is serious,and the influencing factors are educations and inhabit situations.

Objective To explore the influencing factors of sub-health status among the migrant workers in Dongguan City.Methods A total of 740 migrant workers in Dongguan city were extracted by the stratified random sampling method.The SubHealth Measurement Scale Version 1.0(SHMS V 1.0) was adopted to test the health status.The data were analyzed by Logistic regression analysis.Results The univariate analysis showed that the marital status,average daily working time,monthly family per capita income,living conditions,drinking,breakfast,nutritional status,vigils,living conditions satisfaction,sedentary desk operation and experiencing negative events had statistical significance(P＜0.05).In the Logistic regression analysis:average daily working time,vigils and experiencing negative events were the risk factors of sub-health status occurrence,their odds ratio(OR) and 95 ％ confidence interval(CI)were 1.971(1.211,3.205),2.183(1.378,3.459) and 2.135(1.353,3.369),respectively.Breakfast and nutritional status were the protective factors of sub-health status occurrence,their OR and 95 ％ CI were 0.706 (0.526,0.947) and 0.386(0.239,0.625),respectively.Conclusion The unhealthy living habits and experiencing negative events affect the health of migrant workers in Dongguan City.

Objective:Rapid assessment of the outcome after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is an important clinical issue. In this study, an electrocardiogram (ECG) analysis method based on dynamic learning was proposed.Methods:A total of 203 patients with ACS after successful PCI were enrolled for prospective analysis at the Emergency Department of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University from April 2019 to December 2020. All patients were divided into group without ≥70% postoperative stenosis ( n=72) and group with ≥ 70% postoperative stenosis ( n=131) according to the presence of 70% or more stenosis after PCI. The clinical data of ACS patients were collected and analyzed by χ2 test, t-test, or Mann-Whitney test. ECGs were recorded before and 2 h after PCI, and were dynamically analyzed to generate cardiodynamicsgram (CDG) using dynamic learning. In the group without ≥ 70% postoperative stenosis, the model and CDG index for evaluating myocardial ischemia were obtained by training support vector machine (SVM) using 10 times 10-fold cross-validation. Results:There was no significant difference in clinical data between the two groups. The prediction accuracy and sensitivity of the support vector machine model for myocardial ischemia in group without≥70% postoperative stenosis were 73.61%, and 84.72% respectively. CDG transformed from disorderly to regular after PCI, and CDG index decreased significantly ( P<0.001): 90.28% (65) patients in group without≥70% postoperative stenosis, and 79.39% (104) patients in group with≥70% postoperative stenosis had lower CDG indexes than before PCI. Conclusions:In this study, CDG obtained by dynamic learning can intuitively and effectively evaluate the changes of myocardial ischemia before and after PCI, which is helpful to assist clinicians to formulate the next treatment plan.

OBJECTIVETo develop and validate a method for mutation screening and prenatal diagnosis of TSC1/TSC2 mutations among patients with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) by Ion Torrent semiconductor sequencing.

METHODSPotential mutations of SC1/TSC2 gene was detected in 2 TSC families and 1 sporadic TSC patient using an Ion Torrent PGM sequencer. Candidate variants were validated by Sanger sequencing. The corresponding site of TSC2 in the fetus of family 2 was also detected with Sanger sequencing.

RESULTSIon Torrent semiconductor sequencing has identified a probably pathogenic TSC2 mutation (c.311-312insGCTG) in the patient from family 1, and a probably pathogenic TSC2 mutation (c.1790A>G) in the patient of family 2.

CONCLUSIONTargeted Ion Torrent PGM sequencing is an accurate and efficient method to detect TSC1/TSC2 mutations in TSC.
