Studies suggested a link between the declining consumption of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n-3 PUFA)and the rise in allergic diseases. Although the effect of supplementing n-3 PUFA on the treatment of atopic diseases in adult has been disappointing, the epidemiological evidence suggested n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids may play a role in against allergy. In recent years, there has been a growing focus on the role of n-3 PUFA in allergy prevention in early life. This review will examine the current evidences about the effects and mechanisms of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in allergy protection.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) could lead to the complexity of intra-abdominal pathology and patients' malnutrition,which might greatly increase the risk of operation.Laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery is playing an important role in the treatment of IBD,with the advantages of faster postoperative recovery,shorter duration of hospital stay and lower incidence of postoperative complications.And some new techniques for IBD have been reported in the western countries,such as single-incision laparoscopic surgery,natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery,robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery and so on.However,the new techniques are not widely used in China,and it is necessary to carry out a series of clinical practices,which should be carefully selected for IBD patients undergoing minimally invasive surgery.

20 children aged 3 years ±3 months with dental caries were randomly divided into 2 groups(n =1 0).The caries tissue was re-moved by conventional bur and Er:YAG laser respectively without the use of mouth speculum,mouth gag and binding belts.In laser group the success rate of treatment at first visit and return visit was higher(P <0.05)and children's dental anxiety grad was lower(P <0.05).The Er:YAG laser is more effective in easing children's dental anxiety and in the dental treatment.

Objective To explore the effect of recombinant human endostatin combined with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), hypoxia inducible factor-1 alpha(HIF-1α), osteopontin (OPN) and connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) levels in serum of HCC patients.Methods 90 cases of primary liver cancer patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group, 45 cases in each group.The control group received the routine chemotherapy of hepatic artery embolization, and the observation group received recombinant human vascular endostatin combined with hepatic arterial chemoembolization.The serum levels of VEGF, HIF-1α, OPN, and CTGF were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay before treatment, 3 days and 5 days after operation, then the correlations were analyzed.Results The VEGF, HIF-1α, OPN, CTGF levels after 3 days and 5 days were higher than those before surgery in control group and observation group (P<0.05), the above indexes after 5 days were lower than those after 3 days in both groups (P<0.05), and VEGF, OPN and CTGF levels except for HIF-1αin observation group were significantly lower than those in control group after 5 days (P<0.05).There existed significant positive correlation between serum VEGF and HIF-1α, OPN, CTGF concentration levels(r=0.985, 0.995, 0.959,P<0.05) in 90 cases of liver cancer patients, highly positive correlation between HIF-1αand OPN, CTGF levels (r=0.842,0.874, P<0.05), and moderately positive correlation between OPN and CTGF concentrations (r=0.755,P<0.05).Conclusion The efficacy of recombinant human vascular endostatin combined with transcatheter arterial chemotherapy and embolization in the treatment of primary hepatocellular carcinoma is good.There exsits closely correlation of VEGF, HIF-1α, OPN and CTGF levels in serum, which could reflect clinical efficacy.

Objective To observe clinical therapeutic effect of Yiqi Huayu Prescription for diabetes peripheral nerve and blood vessel pathological change. Methods One hundred patients with diabetes peripheral nerve and blood vessel pathological change were randomly divided into two groups. The patients in control group (n=48) were treated by routine treatment. The patients in treatment group (n =52) were treated by oral use of Yiqi Huayu Prescription and routine treatment. Their therapeutic effects were compared after three courses of treatment, which was 30 days. Results The total effective rate was 92.9% in the treatment group and 61.1% in the control group. Objective To explore the establishment and effectiveness of school-based training bases.Methods Two hundred forty-six nursing students having finished theoretical learning and possessing into clinical practice were divided into the control group(n=121)and the observation group(n=125).The control group received the conventional training in out-school training bases and the observation group in the school-based training bases.The two groups were compared in terms of creative thinking and the performances of nursing theory,manipulations and assessed by their teachers.Result The scores on creative thinking and the performances in nursing theory and manipulation in the observation group were both significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05)and the assessment by teachers in the observation group was better than the control group.Conclusion The school-based training base used for nursing teaching can not only improve the nursing theory and manipulation of nursing students but also improve the creative thinking.

Objective To demonstrate the carotid artery hemodynamic characteristics in patients with common carotid artery occlusion,and to investigate the value of color Doppler ultrasonography in evaluating it.Methods 30 patients with common carotid artery (CCA) occlusion or severe stenosis (stenosis rate＞70％) were as the patients group,while 30 volunteers with the normal indicators of carotid artery ultrasonography as the control group.In both groups,the examinations of the CCA,the internal carotid artery (ICA),the external carotid artery (ECA) and the vertebral artery (VA) were taken by color Doppler ultrasonography under quiescent conditions.Bilateral carotid ultrasonography studies were performed,which included the peak systolic velocity (PSV),end-diastolic velocity (EDV),mean velocity (MV),and resistance index (RI).Results The peak systolic velocity (PSV),EDV and MV of ICA were obviously lower in case group at affected side than in the control group (P＜0.05 or 0.01).The blood flow of ECA at the affected side was retrograde or bidirectional.PSV,EDV and MV of the external carotid artery (ECA) were obviously higher in the healthy side in patients than in the control group (all P＜0.01).There was a significant difference in blood flow velocity of bilateral vertebral artery (VA) between the patients group and the control group,and the PSV,EDV and MV were obviously higher in the former than in the latter (all P＜0.01).And the RI was different between the two groups (P＜0.05).Conclusions The pressure of ICA is dropped after the common carotid artery occlusion,and then ECA reversely feeds ICA by collateral circulation.The blood flow velocities of bilateral vertebral artery and contralateral ECA are significantly increased to compensate for cerebral blood supply through collateral circulation channels.Color Doppler ultrasonography can reflect this phenomenon more fully and accurately,and provide clinically valuable diagnostic information.

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Tianwang Buxin Decoction for delirium after hip joint replacement in senile femoral neck fracture patients. Methods A total of 57 senile patients with femoral neck fracture induced by falling were enrolled from the department of arthropathy of Zhongshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine admitted from September of 2009 to February of 2014. The patents were aged over 65 years, and had delirium after hip joint replacement. Random number method was used to divide the patients into Chinese medicine group ( 29 cases) and western medicine group ( 28 cases) , which were given oral use of Tianwang Buxin Decoction and Olanzapine separetely. Before and after treatment, we observed the scores of Delirium Rating Scale (DRS), time for delirium disappearing, and incidence of indifferent mind and somnolence.Results (1) After treatment, DRS scores were obviously decreased in both groups (P<0.01 compared with those before treatment), but the difference was insignificant between the two groups (P>0.05). (2) The difference of time for delirium disappearing was insignificant between the two groups after treatment ( P>0.05). ( 3) After treatment, 7 cases of the control group had indifferent mind or somnolence, accounting for 25%. No case of the treatment group had indifferent mind or somnolence. The difference between the two groups was significant ( P<0.01). Conclusion Oral use of Tianwang Buxin Decoction has the same effect as Olanzapine for the treatment of delirium after hip joint replacement in falling-induced senile femoral neck fracture patients, and has the advantages of having no adverse reaction of indifferent mind or somnolence, and can realize comprehensive treatment by modification of the recipe according to the symptoms.

Objective To observe the protein expression of grow thassociated protein-43 (GAP-43) in mid-brain ventral tegmental area in morphine withdrawal rats at different time, and to evaluate the effect of GAP-43 on morphine withdrawal memory. Methods Rat models of morphine dependent 1 week, 2 weeks and 4 weeks were established by morphine hydrochloride intraperitoneal injection with increasing doses to establish natural withdrawal. The protein expression of GAP-43 in midbrain ventral tegmental area was observed by im munohistochemical staining and the results were analyzed by Im age-Pro Plus 5.1 im-age analysis system . Results With prolongation of dependent time, the expression of GAP-43 was de-creased then increased in midbrain ventral tegmental area . Conclusion GAP-43 could play arole in morphine withdrawal memory in midbrain ventral tegmental area.
