To detect the expression of VCAM 1 (vascular cell adhesion molecule 1)in gastric cancer,its adjacent tissues, gastric ulcer and normal tissues, and the correlation of expression of VCAM 1 with tumor growth,metastasis, pathological parameters.Methods: Specimens from 41 gastric cancer patients(cancer, adjacent cancer and normal tissue),8 peptic ulcer,10 normal peoples were stained, image analysis with the methods of immunohistochemistry.The relation of the data collected with clinic and pathology of gastric cancer was studied. The correlation of VCAM 1 expression and pathological characteristics of gastric cancer were studied.Results: VCAM 1 was expressed not only in vascular endothelial cells, but also in most gastric cancer cells, thirty one out of forty one cancer had the expression of VCAM 1,adjacent cancer(2cm) had 5 positive VCAM 1 and adjacent cancer(5cm) had 4 positive VCAM 1(P

Objective:To study the correlation of the ratio and number of involved lymph nodes and the prognosis of gastric carcinoma.Methods: 174 patients of positive gastric lymph nodes were included.They were treated by radical gastrectomy and lymph nodes dissection(D 2 or D 3)in our department.The ratio and number of metastastic gastric lymph nodes were calculated.Their influence and their interrelation with pathogenic parameters were analyzed.Results: The overall 5-year survival rate was 29.6%,and the five-year survival rate of 1～20 per cent and more than 20% were 70.6%,12.0% respectively.One to five positive lymph nodes and five more were 46.6%,17.4% respectively.The five-year survival rate was decreased as the ratio and number of involved lymph nodes increased.Studies also indicated that with the increase of depth of cancer invasion,the ratio and number of involved lymph node elevated.Conclusion: The results shows that the ratio and number of involved lymph nodes correlated to tumour progression and the five survival rate.Perigastric lymph node status can be considered as a simple and effective prognosis factor.

Medics play a very important role in military medical supporting forces who take on lots of basic work of medical units.It was assigned to us to train the medics for the first time this year in our university.To enhance the teaching effect of the course named first aid in battlefield,a series of measures were taken including modularizing the teaching contents,diversifying the teaching means,dividing students into some groups,strengthening the practice and examinations based on the traits of the medics and so on.At last,some countermeasures were put forward aiming at the process of teaching.

Objective To discuss the effectiveness of implementation of blending learning in teaching of Fundamental of Nursing.Methods 234 nursing undergraduates were divided into the experimental group and the control group.The experimental group adopted blending learning method,while the control group used traditional teaching method.The final term exam and technical test results were compared between two groups.Results Students' practice scores in the experimental group were higher than those of the control group.In the experimental group,about 90.2％ undergraduates accessed learning resources through online teaching platform,82.4％ students considered that their nursing skills improved and 78.4％ students thought that their self-learning capacity strengthened.Conclusions Blending learning gives students a potential time,environment and recourse to learn.By integrating in-class and after-class studying,undergraduates' self-learning ability and nursing skills improved.

With the development of world new military revolution,the objective of education has transformed from degree-oriented to post-oriented in military university.Based on status-on-quo investigation,the author finds some deficiencies in building of teacher staff and put forward some measures.

Objective To study on the influence of comprehensive nursing intervention on extremities function and quality of life (QOL) in community patients with convalescent stroke.Methods A total of 200 community patients with convalescent stroke were selected and randomized into the experimental group and the control group,100 cases each.Patients in the control group were given conventional treatment and following.While patients in the experimental group were given comprehensive nursing intervention besides the treatment mentioned above.Then the therapeutic effects were evaluated by filling out brief Fugl-Meyer assessment(FMA) scale and ADL rating scale(FIM).Life satisfaction index A(LSIA) and quality of life index (QLI) were selected to evaluate QOL.Results After treatment,the scores of LSIA and QLI of the control group showed no difference,but these scores of the experimental group were significantly improved,and was better than those of the control group.In addition,both FMA and FIM in these two groups improved obviously compared to those before treatment and the effect of the experimental group was superior to that of the control group.Conclusions The comprehensive nursing intervention can significantly improve extremities function and ADL and QOL of community patients with convalescent stroke.It is economical,simple and suitable to community families with any education background.

OBJECTIVETo explore the role of histone H3 acetylation in cleft palate induced by 2, 3, 7, 8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) in C57BL/6J mice, and its mechanism.

METHODSOn gestation day 10 (GD10), 36 pregnant mice were randomly divided into two groups as the treated group(n = 18) and the control group( n = 18). The mice in the treated group received intragastric administration with TCDD 28 μg/kg, while the mice in the control group received equivalent corn oil. The pregnant mice were sacrificed on GD13. 5, GD14. 5 and GD15. 5, collecting fetal palates to determine the activities of histone acetyltransferases (HATs) by Colorimetric and the expression level of acetylated histone H3 (Acetylated histone H3, Ac-H3) by Western-blot.

RESULTSThe activity of HATs was 0.409 7 ± 0.0147, 0.522 3 ± 0.017 1 and 0.643 5 ± 0.013 9 in control group on GD13.5, GD14.5 and GD15.5; 0.865 0 ± 0.0129, 0.719 1 ± 0.017 8 and 0.551 2 ± 0.016 8 in TCDD group. The activity of HATs in TCDD group was higher than that in control group on GD13. 5, GD14. 5, showing significantly difference between the two groups (t = - 56. 932, t = - 19. 516, P < 0.01); however, the activity of HATs in TCDD group was significantly lower than that in control group on GD15. 5 (t = 10. 382, P < 0.01). The expression level of Ac-H3 was 0.745 0 ± 0.113 5, 1.055 9 ± 0.249 4 and 1.795 5 ± 0.081 9 in control group on GD13. 5, GD14. 5 and GD15. 5; while 1.4490 ± 0. 1460, 1. 641 8 ± 0.099 7 and 1. 512 1 ± 0. 150 2 in TCDD group. The expression of Ac-H3 in TCDD group was higher than that in control group on GD13. 5, GD14. 5, showing significantly difference( t = -6. 593, -3. 779, P <0. 01, P <0.05) ; However, the expression of Ac-H3 in TCDD group was statistically lower than that in control group (t = 2. 870, P <0. 05).

CONCLUSIONThe acetylation of histone H3 was involved in the cleft palate of C57BL/6J mice induced by TCDD, which may be one of the mechanisms in TCDD-induced cleft palate.

OBJECTIVETo explore the clinical effect of using dorsal two wing-shaped flap to reconstruct finger web for treatment of congenital syndactyly.

METHODSThis technique has been used in 19 children with congenital syndactyly. At the dorsum, a flap with V-shaped tip and two wing-shaped pedicle were designed and was just sewed up with an anchor-shaped incision at the palm. The web was primarily reconstructed without skin graft at base of fingers. Distal end of fingers were separated by using serrated flap and were closed after removal of fatty tissue. At some cases with tight skin connection. The defect area at lateral and distal end of fingers was closed by small pieces of skin graft.

RESULTSAll the webs were reconstructed primarily without skin graft at the base of fingers. 7 cases with tight skin connection had small pieces of skin graft at lateral and distal end of fingers. Primary healing was achieved in all cases. After 1 to 6 months of follow-up, both the appearance and function were satisfactory without conspicuous scar. The reconstructed finger webs were in normal depth and width.

CONCLUSIONSPrimary web space can be achieved by dorsal two wing-shaped flap without skin graft at base of fingers. It is one of the best choices for treatment of congenital syndactyly.

Objective To explore the effect of research practical teaching mode on the critical thinking ability and innovation ability of nursing in the course of community nursing teaching.Methods The research practical teaching was provided for 90 nursing students.They were investigated with the WatsonGlaser Critical Thinking Appraisal (WGCTA) and the test of self innovation level scale before and after teaching.Results After the teaching,the total score of critical thinking and the score of innovation ability among nursing students were significantly improved.the recognition hypothesis,deduction, explanation,evaluation discussed dimensions were statistically significant,but before and after teaching reasoningdimensions showed no significant difference.Conclusions Research practical teaching mode can improve critical thinking ability and innovation ability of nursing students in the course of community nursing teaching.

Background The residual astigmatism following Toric intraocular lens (IOL) rotation have received much attention.However,the variation of the optical performance and the wavefront abrrveation with Toric IOL rotation are unclear.Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the optical performance,wavefront abrrveation and residual diopter spherical and cylinder lens with Toric IOL rotation.Methods T3,T4 and T5 Toric IOLs of +22.0 D were placed in Hwey-Lan Liou model eye respectively,with the posterior surface flat on the X axis and steep on the Y axis.Corneal astigmatism model was established by mimicing the model eye with Toric IOL using Zemax optical software.Then the Toric IOLs were rotated 5° to 10° individually under the 4 mm pupil diameter and 550 nm monochromatic light,and the image performance and wavefront abrrveation were recorded with all conditions,including modulation transfer function (MTF),out-of-focus aberration,astigmatism aberration,coma,trefoil aberration and spherical aberration.The refractive error of spherical power and cylinder power were calculated.Results Corneal astigmatism was fully corrected when Toric IOLs in the middle,and the MTF curves were near in T3,T4,T5 Toric IOLs.The image performance was worse under the high spatial frequency with the increase of rotation degrees of Toric IOLs,showing the gradually low of MTF curves,especially T5 Toric IOL.No obvious changes was seen in coma,trefoil aberration and spherical aberration after rotation of Toric IOLs,while out-of-focus aberration,astigmatism aberration were obviously increased.In addition,residual astigmatism and spherical error increase with the rotation of Toric IOLs.Conclusions Toricl IOL rotation leads to increase of astigmatism and spherical refractive error but not high order aberration.
