Objective To discuss the association of allele polymorphisms SNP-rs1799724(C>T)in the TNF-αand SNP-rs11559013(G>A)in the ALCAM with HCV chronic infection in Han population in Yunnan province. Methods 434 HCV chronic infectious patients and 444 healthy individuals of Han Chinese population in Yunnan province were recruited. Two single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)in the SNP-rs1799724(C>T) of TNF-αgene and SNP-rs11559013(G>A)of ALCAM gene were determined by real-time TaqMan polymerase chain reaction. We evaluated the associations of the two SNPs with HCV chronic infection. Results The distributions of allele and genotype of SNP-rs1799724(C>T)in the TNF-αand SNP-rs11559013(G>A)in the ALCAM between hepatitis C virus(HCV)chronic infectious patients and the healthy controls were not statistically significant(P > 0.05). Conclusion SNP-rs1799724(C>T)in the TNF-αand SNP-rs11559013(G>A) in the ALCAM have no association with HCV chronic infection in the Han population in Yunnan province.

This article was aimed to study immunomodulatory effect of chemical split fractions ofMori Cortex, in order to initially explain effective parts that played a role in immunomodulatory effect ofMori Cortex. The carbon clearance test, serum hemolysin test, E-rosette test, and lymphocyte transformation test were carried out to explore influence of these chemical split fractions ofMori Cortex on immune organs, nonspecific immunity, humoral immunity and cellular immunity. The results showed that in the carbon clearance test, 50% ethanol fraction markedly reduced the thymus index (P<0.01) and the correction indexα (P<0.05). In hemolysin test, the half value hemolysis (HC50) was improved by 30% ethanol fraction and fatty oil fraction (P<0.05). Besides, in the E-rosette test, the E-rosette ration was increased in the 30% ethanol fraction group (P<0.05). In the lymphocyte transformation test, the 30% ethanol fraction can promote the thymus and spleen lymphocytes proliferation (P<0.05 orP<0.01), while the 50% ethanol fraction inhibited the proliferation (P<0.05 orP<0.01). It was concluded that the 30% ethanol fraction can boost both the humoral immunity and cellular immunity; the 50% ethanol fraction can induce the growth of thymus with a suppressive effect on nonspecific immunity and cellular immunity; the fatty oil fraction can improve humoral immunity.

Objective:To discuss whether balloon atrial septostomy(BAS) can provide safe and effective left ventricular venting for venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(V-A ECMO).Methods:From March 2017 to January 2019, 9 patients received BAS for left ventricular venting during V-A ECMO treatment in our hospital, including 5 males and 4 females, aged 12-72 years. There were 3 cases of severe myocarditis, 4 cases of low cardiac output after cardiac surgery, and 2 cases of acute myocardial infarction. Basic data, procedure data, outcome and follow-up were recorded. Results:BAS were successfully performed in 9 patients. Procedure time on average was 42.2 min. Anterior mediastinal hematoma occurred in 1 case. There were no other procedure-related complications in the rest cases. No pulmonary edema or thrombosis occurred in all 9 cases during ECMO. No closure procedure was performed. Conclusion:BAS is a safe and effective method for left ventricular venting. The procedure is conductive to the recovery of patients with severe left heart failure.

Objective:To discuss the performance of visual score and heart-to-contralateral lung (H/CL) ratio of 99Tc m-pyrophosphate (PYP) SPECT/CT scintigraphy for diagnosing transthyretin-related cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CA) by using Meta-analysis. Methods:Relevant studies on 99Tc m-PYP SPECT/CT diagnosis of ATTR-CA published before August 20, 2023 from databases including Pubmed, EMbase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang and China Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP) were retrieved. Articles were screened and indices which reflect the diagnostic efficiency such as sensitivity and specificity were extracted. Forest plots were drawn, and subgroup analysis was performed to analyze the heterogeneity. Results:A total of 160 articles were retrieved, and 11 articles involving 1 802 patients were enrolled, of whom 605 were diagnosed with ATTR-CA. All 11 articles were enrolled when analyzing the diagnostic efficiency of visual score for diagnosing ATTR-CA. After integration, the sensitivity and specificity were 0.95(95% CI: 0.91-0.97) and 0.95(95% CI: 0.90-0.98), respectively. Ten articles (1 611 patients) were enrolled when analyzing the diagnostic efficiency of H/CL ratio for diagnosing ATTR-CA. After integration, the sensitivity and specificity were 0.93(95% CI: 0.82-0.98) and 0.99(95% CI: 0.90-1.00), respectively. Subgroup analysis indicated that lack of uniformity in diagnostic criteria was the primary source of heterogeneity. Conclusion:99Tc m-PYP SPECT/CT scintigraphy exhibits high diagnostic efficiency for ATTR-CA.
