Objective To explore the IL-8 and ICAM-1 in premature infants with cerebral white matter damage (CWMD) and their correlations with prognosis. Methods One hundred and two cases of CWMD were selected from March 2009 to June 2012 as experimental group and 42 cases of normal preterm children were selected as control group. Serum IL-8 and ICAM-1 levels were measured during 48-72 h after birth. Motor development index (psychomotor developmental index, PDI) and mental development index (mental development index, MDI) were evaluated by Bayley scale. The correlations of IL-8 and ICAM-1 levels with prognosis were analyzed. Results Serum IL-8 and ICAM-1 levels in the experimental group were signiifcantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). MDI and PDI scores in the experimental group were signiifcantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). There were negative correlations of serum IL-8 and ICAM-1 levels with MDI (r=-0.64, P<0.05;r=-0.66, P<0.05)+and PDI (r=-0.70, P<0.05;r=-0.71, P<0.05). Conclusions Serum IL-8 and ICAM-1 levels in infants with CWMD are signiifcantly increased, and are negatively correlated with MDI and PDI scores.

Objectives To investigate the effect of different dosages of low molecular weight heparin on acute pulmonary embolism and inhibition of pulmonary intimal hyperplasia in immature rats. Methods 90 male immature SD rats were randomly divided into ifve groups: sham group, pulmonary embolism group, low-low molecular heparin group (L-LMH), medium-low molecular heparin group (M-LMH) and high-low molecular heparin group (H-LMH). The model of acute pulmonary embolism was established through jugular vein injection with gel-foam solution. The rates in the L-LMH, M-LMH, H-LMH groups were treated with low molecular weight heparin by subcutaneous injection after surgery with a dosage of 0 . 005 ml/kg, 0 . 01 ml/kg, 0 . 02 ml/kg, twice a day. Animals in the control group were given saline injection. Arterial blood gas, pulmonary artery pressure (mPAP), right ventricular pressure (RVP), wall area/tube area, wall thickness/tube diameter, and the expression of PDGF-B and MCP-1 at gene and protein levels in lung tissue were detected on the 7 th ( 7 d), 14 th ( 14 d) and 28 th ( 28 d) after opration. Results There were signiifcant differences of PaO 2 among 5 groups on 7 d, 14 d and 28 d. PaO 2 in group M-LMH ( 105 . 1 ± 4 . 6 mm Hg) were signiifcantly higher than that of embolization group, L-LMH, but not H-LMH group at 28 d. mPAP of M-LMH group was lower than that in the other three intervention groups, but showed no signiifcant difference compared with sham group (P?>0 . 05 ). There were signiifcant differences of RVP on 7 d and 14 d. PDGF-B, MCP-1 of M-LMH group were signiifcantly lower compared with the other three intervention groups (P?0 . 05 ), but showed no signiifcant difference compared with sham group (P?>0 . 05 ). Wall area/tube area, wall thickness/tube diameter scores of M-LMH group had no signiifcance differences compared with sham group on 28 d (P?>?0 . 05 ). Conclusion Medium dose of low molecular weight heparin could ameliorate the acute pulmonary embolism and inhibit the proliferation of pulmonary arteries in rats.

Objective: To assess the effect of coronary collateral circulation (CCC) on myocardial viabilityin patients with chronic total occlusion of left anterior descending (LAD) artery. Methods: A total of 101 consecutive patients with confirmed diagnosis of total LAD occlusion in our hospital were enrolled. Rest 99mTc-MIBISPECT myocardial perfusion and 18F-FDG PET were performed, in addition all patients received coronary angiography (CAG) at 3 months front and back. Both images were reconstructed in the same machine and QPS software was used to obtain the summed rest score (SRS), abnormal resting total perfusion defect (TPD), viable and non-viable myocardium, LVEDV, LVESV and LVEF in relevant patients. Based on CAG result, the patients were divided into 2 groups: CCC group, n=39 and No CCC group, n=62; according to existing old myocardial infarctionand location of LAD occlusion, the patients were further divided into 4 subgroups. The above parameters were compared among different groups. Results: There were 86 male and 15 female patients with the mean age at (59.92±11.43) years. Relevant parameters in CCC group and No CCC groupwere as in SRS: (21.23±9.68) vs (28.56±8.76), TPD: (30.03±13.69) %vs (40.37±12.50) %, viable myocardium: (21.77±13.12) % vs (13.66±9.23) %, non-viable myocardium (8.28±8.58) %vs (27.40±12.97) %, all P<0.05; in LVEDV: (109.82±30.01) ml vs (173.71±57.69) ml, LVESV: (62.82±22.39) ml vs (122.53±51.66) ml, LVEF: (43.85±8.46) % vs (31.03±8.30) %, all P<0.05. Conclusion: Our preliminary study found that CCC could maintain left ventricular rest perfusion, myocardial viability and protect cardiac function in patients with chronic total LAD occlusion.

AIM: To study the interrelation between the structure and the function of artificial ribozyme M_1GS. METHODS: Ribozyme M_1GS-T_7, which targeted the mRNA segment of HCMV UL54 gene, was constructed. The secondary structure of M_1GS was simulated under different temperatures (20 ℃, 37 ℃ or 55 ℃, at which the secondary structure of M_1GS was relatively stable) and the interrelation between the secondary structure and the cleavage activity of M_1GS was analyzed under different temperature in vitro. To investigate the interrelation between the structure and the function of ribozyme M_1GS further, mM_1GS-T_7 was designed, in which some mutation sites was added, according to the result of temperature change experiment and the simulated secondary structure, showing that were the same structures at 37 ℃ as that of M_1GS-T_7 at 55 ℃. RESULTS: In temperature change experiment, the cleavage activity of M_1GS-T_7 was highest at 55 ℃. The result of mutant experiment showed that the mutant type was more active than M_1GS-T_7 at 37 ℃. CONCLUSION: The cleavage activity of M_1GS, which has some certain secondary structure, is higher than others. There is some interrelation between the structure and the function of M_1GS.

Objective To explore the impact of hypoxia/reoxygenation stimulation on phenotype and immune activity of dendritic cells(DCs) cultured from murine bone marrow. Methods Mouse DCs were generated from bone marrow cells and were divided into control group and hypoxia/reoxygenation group. DC in control group was cultured at normal condition, and in hypoxia/reoxygenation group was cultured at hypoxic condition for 4 h followed by cultured at normal condition for 24 h. Flow cytometry and mixed lym-phocyte reaction(MLR) was used to detect the phenotype and functional properties of DCs. ELISA was used to detect the concentration of TNF-α, IFN-γ and IL-12 in the supernalant, Imrounochemistry was used to de-tect the concentration of NF-κB. Results Hypoxia/reoxygen stimulation increased the CD80, CD86, MHC Ⅱ in the cytomembrane of DCs and TNF-α, IFN-γ, IL-12 concentration in the supernalant. Hypoxia/reoxy-gen stimulation also promoted the shift of NF-κB to karyon. Conclusion Under hypoxia/reoxygen stimula-tion, DCs express high level of surface molecules, and possess strong immune activity.

Objective To investigate psychosocial factors for post-stroke depression (PSD). Methods 405 in-pa-tients with stroke were first screened for depression using Comprehensive International Diagnostic Interview-3.0. 22 pa-tients with depression were recruited as the depression group. From 383 patients without depression, 44 patients were se-lected and served as the non depression controlled group according to the sex and age paired with 1:2. Both groups were measured by using questionnaires including Life Event Scale, Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire, Social Support Rat-ing Scale, Activities of Daily Living Scale and Quality of Life Enjoyment and Satisfaction Questionnaire, Short Form. Re-sults The score of passive coping was significantly higher in depression group than in non depression group [(1.2 ± 0.5) vs. (0.8±0.7), P<0.05]. The score of subjective support was significantly lower in depression group than in non depression group [(17.5±4.0) vs. (20.7±4.6), P<0.05]. Logistic regression analysis showed, minority nationality (OR=2.564, 95%CI:1.039~6.327) and passive coping style (OR=2.223, 95%CI:1.052~5.192) were risk factors for PSD, while subjective sup-port was protective factor for PSD (OR=0.884, 95%CI:0.793~0.986). Conclusions Passive coping style and low subjec-tive support may be the important psychosocial factors of PSD.

Objective:To evaluate the risk and influencing factors of pulmonary embolism in patients with iliac vein compression syndrome (IVCS) and acute iliofemoral vein thrombosis by CT pulmonary angiography combined with CT venography of inferior vena cava. Methods:The data of 166 patients with acute left iliofemoral vein thrombosis diagnosed in the Affiliated Hospital of Jining Medical University from July 2016 to June 2020 were analyzed retrospectively. All patients underwent one-stop CT pulmonary angiography combined with inferior vena cava CT venography. The patients were divided into IVCS group (101 cases) and non-IVCS group (65 cases) according to the presence or absence of IVCS. The general data of the patients, the stenosis rate of left common iliac vein, the presence of inferior vena cava floating thrombosis, the presence of large pelvic collateral veins, the detection of pulmonary embolism and the pulmonary artery obstruction index of the two groups were compared, and multivariate logistic regression and multiple linear regression were used to analyze the influencing factors of the incidence and severity of pulmonary embolism in IVCS group. Results:There were significant differences in the stenosis rate of left common iliac vein [(68±8)% vs (25±14)%, t=-25.300, P<0.001], the incidence of inferior vena cava floating thrombosis [25/101, 31/65, χ2 =9.310, P=0.002], the length of inferior vena cava floating thrombosis [17.2 (10.9, 27.8)mm vs 27.4 (20.1, 55.9) mm, Z=-2.316, P=0.021], the incidence of pulmonary embolism (43/101 vs 41/65, χ2 =6.651, P=0.010) and the pulmonary artery obstruction index [(10.0% (5.0%, 17.5%) vs 22.5% (10.0%, 30.0%), Z=-3.490, P<0.001] between IVCS group and non-IVCS group. In the IVCS group, multiple logistic regression analysis revealed that the stenosis rate of left common iliac vein [β=-1.964, OR(95%CI) 0.140(0.031-0.638), P=0.011] and inferior vena cava floating thrombosis [β=1.212, OR(95%CI) 3.360(1.566-7.209), P=0.002] was independent factors for the occurrence of pulmonary embolism. Multiple linear regression showed that the influence of inferior vena cava floating thrombosis on the pulmonary artery obstruction index was statistically significant (b=0.352, t=2.410, P=0.021). Conclusion:The incidence and severity of pulmonary embolism in patients with IVCS and acute left iliofemoral vein thrombosis are lower than those without IVCS, and the presence or absence of inferior vena cava floating thrombosis is an important factor affecting the severity of pulmonary embolism.
