Objective A rapid method was constructed for detection of 3 kinds of phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibitors (sidenafil,vardalafil,tadalafil) in invigorative health food by paper spray ionization mass spectrometry (PSI-MS method).Methods The characteristic ions of the PDE5 inhibitors could be used for preliminary identification and semiquantitative analysis with internal standard method using PSI-MS method.Results The 24 kinds of commercially available health-care products includes capsule,tablet,pill,powder,wine,syrup and liquid were tested.Results from PSI-MS were consistent with the HPLC-UV date.The calibration curves of PSI-MS has a good linearity in a given range.The linear coefficients of analytes were higher than 0.99.The LODs of 3 kinds of PDE5 inhibitors were lower than 1.0 mg/L.The RSDs of this method ranged from 20％ to 24％.Conclusion The PSI-MS method was rapid,accurate and targeted,which is compliant for quickly screening the PDE5 inhibitors in large complex matrix samples.

Internationalization is the inevitable trend of the development of graduate education. The graduate education in China faces many difficulties in the process of internationalization. For ex-ample, in thegoing out process it can not get international recognition, and in recruit there is in-adequate management, and the training quality is not high.Medical education has its own characteris-tics, and its internationalization process is more difficult. The authors has made an investigation of oral medical students studying in his work unit, and on the basis of the findings, puts forward some coun-termeasures for improving oral medical students' graduate education management.

Objective To assess the efficiency of an iontophoresis-based screening method (EZSCAN) in the detection of impaired glucose tolerance (IGT),diabetes mellitus (DM) and metabolic syndrome (MS).Methods A total of 166 subjects without medical history of dysglycaemia underwent fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and HbA1c measurement and oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) by using traditional or EZSCAN method.Variance analysis (GLM),SNK analysis,logistic regression analysis,and ROC analysis were used to evaluate the diagnostic value of those screening techniques.Results DM,IGT,normal glucose tolerance (NGT) +MS,and NGT were found in 4,26,25 or 111 participants,respectively.For traditional test,FPG of 7.0 mmol/L showed a lower sensitivity to detect DM (0%).The sensitivity of EZSCAN to detect DM,IGT or MS was 50%,77% and 64%,respectively.Conclusions FPG may have lower sensitivity to detect DM,although EZSCAN could show higher sensitivity to detect IGT,DM,and MS.

Objective To investigate the relationship of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS)with ageing in elderly population of Beijing. Methods From January 2010 to July 2010, the males over 40 years of age, who came to take routine health examination in Beijing Hospital, received a questionnaire related to urinary symptoms. Eligible men were classified into age groups spanning 10 years, and the urinary symptoms of each group were analyzed. Results Among the 2357 males who were investigated, the incidence of urinary symptoms increased, and the satisfaction of urinate decreased with ageing. In 40-49 age group, 44.94 % of males owned at least one urinary symptom and 71.47% of males were satisfied with their symptoms. In over-80 age group, these figures were 94.97% and 27.67%, respectively. Each symptom was associated with the satisfaction. Nocturia was the commonest symptom in each age group. Conclusions LUTS are common in elderly males and the incidence increases with ageing. Nocturia is the commonest symptom in elderly males.

Objective To investigate cartilage oligomeric matrix protein( COMP) gene mutation in a three-generation pedigree with two cases of pseudoachondroplasia, and to definitize genotype-phenotype correlation. Methods The clinical data and peripheral blood were collected from the patients with pseudoachondroplasia and their family members. All the 19 exons and their flanking sequences of COMP gene in two patients and three unaffected family numbers and 50 unrelated individuals were analyzed by PCR amplification and direct sequencing. Results The proband, a 6-year-old girl presented with typical clinical features of pseudoachondroplasia, including disproportionate short limb dwarfism, staggering gait, double genu varus deformity, and wider clinical and imaging long bone metaphysis. The 33-year-old father showed a similar manifestation including disproportionate short limb dwarfism and double genu varus deformity, and was performed correcting operation on lower limbs for double genu varus at the age of 10 years. DNA sequencing analysis of the COMP gene revealed a del mutation ( c. 1417 1419delGAC)in exon 13 in two patients with pseudoachondroplasia, but not in the other unaffected members from the pedrgree and 50 control subjects. Conclusion A del mutation c. 1417 1419delGAC of COMP gene may contribute to the disease in the pedigree.
