Objective To explore the clinical characters, therapy and prognoses of hyperthyroid cardiac disease in children.Method Fourteen hospitalized cases with hyperthyroid cardiac disease(5-14 years old) collected from January 2001 to January 2005 were analyzed(retrospecti)vely. Results Fourteen children with hyperthyroid cardiac disease had different degree of enlarged of heart, arrhythmia and heart failure. All of the cases were received treatment of hyperthyroidism and anti-arrhythmia.After admission for 2 weeks, the symptoms of 13 cases relived or disappeared, and after 4-6 weeks the enlarged heart, arrhythmia and heart failure disappeared. One case died after recurrent heart failure. Conclusions Hyperthyroid cardiac disease in children can be curative and the changes of cardiac blood-vessel can be recuperative. It is critical for doctors to know the manifestations of hyperthyroidism and take the cardiac examination and the function of the thyroidism and take proper treatment as soon as possible.

Urid acid is one of the terminal metabolites of human body.More and more attention was paid to its metabolic mechanisms in intestinal tract;however, few studies were seen so far. This study aims to illuminate the metabolic mechanism of uric acid in intestinal tract by two ways:one is the transporters associated with intestinal epithelium, including ABCG2 and SLC2A9, the other is decomposition of uric acid by intestinal flora. We hope this review can provide new insights to decrease blood uric acid and treat urate-related diseases, and also provide a new way to alleviate drug-induced kidney damage.

Objective To investigate the influence of anti-depression therapy on inflammatory cytokines and quality of life(QOL) in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS) complicating depression. Methods Ninety-four patients with ACS complicating depression(HAMD total score ≥8) were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group,47 cases in each group. The control group was given the conventional drug therapy, pantoprazole 40 mg /d,on this basis the treatment group was given sertraline 50 mg/d.The treatment course in the two groups was 6 months. The change of HAMD score, inflammatory cytokines,QOL and incidence of adverse cardiovascular events were observed and compared between the two groups. Results The HAMD score after 3-,6-month treatment in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).The levels of inflammatory cytokines after treatment in the two groups were all reduced, while the IL-6 and TNF-α levels in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05);the scores of all dimensions and total scores of SAQ after 6-month treatment in the treatment group were significantly improved, and the anginal attack situation, treatment satisfaction degree and total score were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05).During 12-month follow-up,the incidence rate of major and minor cardiovascular events, alimentary tract hemorrhage events and total events had no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The antidepressant therapy is safe and effective for treating ACS patients, can effectively improve the depression emotion, inhibits inflammatory reaction, relieves somatic symptoms, and improves QOL.

Objective To assess the safety and feasibility of hybrid trans-gastric endoscopic and laparoscopic cholecystectomy in a porcine model. Methods A total of 6 pigs underwent hybrid trans-gastric endoscopic and laparoscopic cholecystectomy from July to October,2010 under general anesthesia. The operation time and complications during the procedure were recorded,as well as post-operative changes of eating habits and weight.Animals underwent autopsies on post-operative days(POD)14 for evaluation of infection, abscesses and adhesion. Results All procedures were successfully performed and all dogs survived. There was no severe complication except for hemorrhage in one porcine, which was successfully managed under laparoscopy. The mean operation time was 87mins(ranging from 69-124 mins). After the operation, there was no change in eating habits or weight. At autopsy on POD 14,no abscess or hemorrhage was found.Sites of gastric closure were found to be completely healed. Conclusion The hybrid approach increases the safety of initial gastric puncture and gastric wall incision, simplifies peroral trans-gastric cholecystectomy, and decreases invasiveness of laparoscopic surgery. It is a bridge between laparoscopic and transluminal surgery.

OBJECTIVETo establish the quality standard of Entadae Semen, and provide scientific basis for its quality control.
METHODTLC and HPLC were used for qualitative identification and quantitative analysis of phaseoloidin and entadamide A-O-β-D-glucopyranoside in Entadae Semen. The test of water content, ash and ethanol-soluble extractives of Entadae Semen was carried out according to the methods recorded in appendix of Chinese Pharmacopeia (2010 edition).
RESULTThe TLC was well separated with clear spots. The linear range of phaseoloidin was between 0.014 to 2.747 g x L(-1) (r = 0.999 6, n = 9) with an average recovery rate of 101.06% (RSD 0.90%, n = 6); the linear range of entadamide A-O-β-D-glucopyranoside was between 0.002 to 0.452 g x L(-1) (r = 0.999 7, n = 9) withan average recovery rate of 101.52% (RSD 1.09%, n = 6). The content of phaseoloidin in sample is between 5.12% to 9.24%, entadamide A-O-β-D-glucopyranoside is between 0.55% to 2.17%, alcohol-soluble extracts is between 30.9% to 45.2%, water is between 6.6% to 8.6%, and total ash is between 2.4% to 2.9%.
CONCLUSIONThe established standard is acceptable for quality control of Entadae Semen.

OBJECTIVEDesign and make triple cannula dual-lumen vacuum extractor to improve effect of decompression in operation of intestinal obstruction.
METHODSTriple cannula dual-lumen vacuum extractor was applied in 32 patients who underwent operation of intestinal obstruction from 2012 to 2015 in our hospital. The effect of intestinal decompression and patient prognosis were observed.
RESULTS32 patients that used triple cannula dual-lumen vacuum extractor had good recovery except for one patient abdominal incision with fatty liquefaction. The other patients had one-stage healed without any complication such as intestinal fistula, abdominal infection etc.
CONCLUSIONApplication of triple cannula dual-lumen vacuum extractor in operation for intestinal decompression could avoid contamination of abdomen and injury of intestinal mucosa, which had satisfied effect of intestinal decompression and promoted the effect of operation for intestinal obstruction.
