Ten adult rabbits (7 and ♀3; body weights 1.5～2 kg) were selected for thee present study. A solution of 2～10％ HRP (RZ=2.9) was injected into the subserosa of the caecum in seven rabbits and a solution of 5～10％ HRP into the deep peroneal nerve of Tsusanli (足三里) region in the other three. The uptake and retrograds transmission of HRP in the afferent fibres of both the somatic and visceral nerves were traced to the spinal ganglia. The range of segments where the neurons from which these two afferent fibres originate overlap each other. The results are a follows:1. Labelled sensory neurons from the region of the caecum where HRP was injected are observed in the spinal ganglia C_8～S_3 with a higher concentration in T_(11)～L_2.2. Labelled neurons from the region of Tsusanli are found in the spinal ganglia L_1～S_3 with a higher concentration in L_6～S_2.3. The ranges of distribution of labelled neurons from the two groups of afferent fibres overlap in the segments L_1～S_3.4. Most of the labelled cells are small and medium in size and the Iabelled cells are found more concentrated in the lumbosacral segments.

Objective To evaluate the efficiency of levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUS) in the treatment of recurrent endometriosis after conservative surgery or conservative surgery combined with medical treatment. Methods Twenty-three patients with recurrent endometriosis after conservative surgery or conservative surgery combined with medical treatment were treated by LNG-IUS. All patients rejected further operation and had no desire of fertility. The visual analogue scale (VAS) scores of pain, menstrual model, weight and serum CA125 level and the volume of ovarian endometriotic cysts before and after 3, 6, 12, 24 and 36 months of treatment were recorded and compared. Results ( 1 ) VAS score:after 12 months of using LNG-IUS, dysmenorrheal, chronic pelvic pain or dyspareunia were relieved significantly. VAS score were dropped from 5.9 ± 2. 3,4. 3 ± 2.0 to 1.0 ± 0. 7,1.4 ± 1. 1 ( P ＜ 0. 01 ). ( 2 )Volum of cysts :after 6 months of using LNG-IUS, the volume of recurrent ovarian endometriotic cysts in 11 patients were reduced from ( 11.4 ± 6. 1 ) em3 to ( 5. 5 ± 3.4 ) em3 significantly ( P ＜ 0. 01 ). At 12 months of follow-up, it suggested that 2 patients' ovarian endometriotic cysts disappeared. At 24 months follow-up,9 patients ovarian endometriotic cysts disappeared ( 3 ) CA125: serum CA125 decreased from ( 65.5 ± 19. 6 )kU/L to (42. 1 ± 13.6) kU/L at 6 months after treatment remarkably (P ＜ 0. 01 ). Continued to decrease after 12 months and then become steady. Irregular bleeding and spotting was the main side effects, weight gain was also observed in few patients. Conclusions LNG-IUS could be used in treatment of recurrent endometriosis after conservative surgery or conservative surgery combined with medical treatment effectively. It could relieve pain, reduce the level of CA125 and decrease the size of ovarian endometriotic cysts. LNG-IUS seems to be an effective, safe, and long term treatment for endometriosis with fewer side effects and better compliance.

Objective To observe enhancing effect of nerve regeneration on peripheral nerve defect models bridged by VPA/PRGD conduit combined with adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSCs).Methods From February,2013 to August,2014,the hollow nerve scaffolds were constructed by PRGD and VPA.The activity of AD SCs proliferation was tested through the method of CCK-8.Moreover,the effect of VPA/PRGD conduit combined with ADSCs on peripheral nerve regeneration was evaluated,as well as recovery of motor function following sciatic nerve resection in rats.A 10 mm sciatic nerve deficit was created in a rat model and bridged by VPA/PRGD conduit combined with ADSCs (group A),VPAfPRGD conduit (group B) and autograft (group C) respectively.The results was analyzed by the method of group t-test of SPSS 19.0.Results At 3 d,6 d,9 d,CCK-8 test showed that the OD value of groups VPA/PRGD and control has no significance(P ＞ 0.05).At 12 weeks after surgery,the numbers of regenerated nerve proximal to the tube of group A (268±7.48),group B (269±6.86) and group C (271±7.55),had no significant difference between two groups(P ＞ 0.05).The numbers of regenerated nerve in the tube of group A (257±6.19) and group C (260±5.60) were significantly higher than those of group B (229±5.08) (P ＜ 0.05).There was no significant between groups A and C (P ＞ 0.05).The numbers of regenerated nerve distal to the tube of group A (246±5.89) and group C (247±5.02) were significantly higher than those of group B (214±7.55) (P ＜ 0.05).There was no significant between groups A and C (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion These promising results illustrate that this novel VPA/PRGD combined with ADSCs conduit can obviously facilitate the regeneration of injured nerve in rats.

Objective To evaluate 99Tcm-MIBI imaging in patients with hyperparathyroidism and its correlation with serum intact PTH level. Methods Seventy patients with suspicious hyperparathyroidism underwent 99Tcm-MIBI imaging and serum intact PTH measurement. Abnormal increased uptake lesion appeared at early phase and even more clearly at delayed phase was considered as the positive by 99Tcm-MIBI imaging. A cut-off value of PTH ＞ 88 ng/L was taken as the criteria for hyperparathyroidism diagnosis. The diagnostic efficacy of 99Tcm-MIBI imaging combined with serum PTH measurement was assessed according to post-surgical histopathology or clinical follow-up. For those operated patients, Pearson correlation coefficient between serum PTH and the gland volume was calculated. Results Hyperparathyroidism was confirmed in 38 patients by histopathology (n = 36) or follow-up (n = 2). The overall diagnostic accuracy of 99Tcm-MIBI imaging was 90.0% (63/70), in which the accuracy was 80.0% (12/15) for patients with normal serum PTH and 92.7% (51/55) for those with elevated serum PTH. False positive 99Tcm-MIBI imaging were found in 3 patients with normal serum PTH. The diagnostic accuracy of abnormally high serum PTH combined with 99Tcm-MIBI imaging was 94.3% (66/70). There was a positive correlation between serum PTH level and the volume of pathologic parathyroid glands (r = 0.782, P ＜ 0.001 ). Conclusions Serum PTH measurement may help to improve the diagnostic accuracy of 99Tcm-MIBI imaging in patients with hyperparathyroidism.

Objective To explore the reconstructive methods of keeping cardiac function after resec- tion of cardiac carcinoma. Methods After anastomosis of esophageal mucosa and sub-mueosa with gastric counterparts, oblique invagination with gastric ehorion and visceral muscle were adopted in experimental group to keep cardiac anatomical and physiological function.Additionaly, tissues around pylorus were suffi- ciently dissociated to keep pylorie function.Contrastively,regular anastomosis with GF-1 26/28 after resection of cardiac carcinoma was adopted to reconstruct cardia,with thread marked 4 intervally used to reinforce anastomotic ostium in control group.The sphincter of pylorus was dilated to prevent pylorospasm and obstruc- tion.Results In experimental group,no anastomotic leakage,anastomotic stricture and gastroesophageal re- flux occurred.In control group,the incidence of anastomotic leakage and anastomotic stricture were 2.8 %(1/ 36)and 50 %(18/36)respectively,and pH≤4 at anastomotic ostium were found in 12 eases,accounting for 33.3 %, and pH≤6 in 29 cases, accounting for 80.6 %(29/36). Conclusion The reconstructive method of keeping cardiac and pyloric function in resection of cardiac carcinoma benefits recovery of post-operation pa- tients and improve their life quality.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the function of preventing supracondylar fracture of the humerus and cubitus varus in children by observing Baumann angle changes with self-made Orthopedic elastic elbow brace.

METHODSFrom October 2010 to April 2012,120 patients with closed Gartland II or III supracondylar fracture of the humerus diagnoised by X-ray were divided into two groups as follows:group A (62 cases, including 48 males and 14 females, with an average age of (7.27 +/- 4.36) years old, and the course of (1.48 +/- 1.26) days); group B (58 cases, including 47 males and 11 females, with an average age of (8.02 +/- 3.82) years old, and the course of (1.20 +/- 1.11) days. The two groups were treated by manipulative reduction and external fixation of small splints. Group A were used with elbow brace at 15 days after reduction, and treated for 90 days. Group B were used with external fixation of small splints and removed at 30 days. Baumann angle changes at different time periods (15 days, 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 6 months, 1 year) after reduction and its' opposite side were recorded by X-ray. The angles of injured side and the opposite side were compared. The function of the elbow brace was evaluated at 90 days or 1 year after reduction according to Flynn.

RESULTSAll cases were followed up for over 1 year and obtained fracture healing. The incidence of cubitus varus was no one in group A and 4 cases in group B. The Baumann angles of injured side were trended to be increased with the time passing. From 30 days after reduction to 90 days, the increased angles of group B is more than that of group A (P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONIt is effective on stabilizing Baumman angle in the supracondylar fracture of the humerus of midanaphase treatment in Children by orthopedic elastic elbow brace.

Objective To evaluate the effect of health education on endemic diseases in Henan province in 2010.Methods According to the requirements of The Education Program for Endemic Diseases Control in 2009 Henan Province,50 counties (districts) of 18 cities with endemic diseases were selected.Referring to the health education questionnaire in the program,knowledge of endemic diseases were asked of pupils and housewives.Intervention effects were evaluated two months after teaching pupils and housewives in counties,towns,villages and schools with the knowledge of endemic diseases and the questionnaire was used.Results Among 50 counties investigated,5523 pupils and 3206 housewives were surveyed in the baseline according to the requirement,and 5417 pupils and 2891 housewives were surveyed for outcome evaluation.The results showed that after this education,pupils' knowledge about endemic diseases increased from 66.31％(10 987/16 569) in the baseline survey to 93.84％(15 250/16 251),the difference have statistical significant(x2 =3877.78,P ＜ 0.01) ; housewives from 67.56％(6133/9078)to 92.67％(8037/8673),the difference have statistical significant(x2 =1736.33,P ＜ 0.01).After the education,the pupils' knowledge about the iodine deficiency disorders,drinking-water-borne fluorosis and arsenic poisning,coal-burning-borne fluorosis increased from 70.15％ (6263/8928),62.29％(4423/7101),42.96％ (185/270),68.52％ (116/270) to 94.19％ (8344/8859),93.05％ (6376/6852),99.63％ (261/270),96.67％ (269/270),the difference have statistical significant (x2 =1749.85,1939.26,211.83,74.43,all P ＜ 0.01),housewives' knowledge about the iodine shortage diseases,drinking-water-borne fluorosis,the endemic fluorine,the arsenic poisoning increased from 73.27％ (3330/4545),62.79％ (2677/4263,30.37％ (85/135),62.96％(41/135) to 93.96％(4228/4500),91.08％(3555/3903),97.04％(123/135),91.11％(131/135),the difference have statistical significant (x2 =751.03,924.65,129.75,30.23,all P ＜ 0.01).Conclusions Health education intervention has a marked effect in increasing the peoples' knowledge of endemic diseases.Therefore health education should be enhanced in the future.
