Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2003;0(04):-
With the development of the socialist new rural reconstruction, the contradiction between the demand for medical health care and the insufficiency in hygienic resources in the countryside is increasingly prominent. Training the practical medicine talented person who are willing to go to the countryside and are able to stay there and be used for the countryside community has already become the important mission for the medicine higher professional training school. Taking my school’s actual situation as the example,we make exploration on orientting accurately, deepen medical education reform, establish and raise practical talented persons with skills.

Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(08):-
Objective To evaluate arterial embolization in the treatment of hyperthyrodism. Methods The catheterization of the femoral artery was carried out with Seldinger's method. After super-selective catheterization of superior and inferior thyroid arteries were completed, embolization with PVA,grain of gelfoam or wreath of spring was performed. Results The procedures were succeeded in 11 cases. After the embolization, the function of thyroid gradually retuned to normal level. All of them were healed clinically. Conclusion Arterial embolization is a simple, safe, reliable and very effective treatment for hyperthyrodism.

OBJECTIVE:To improve the preparation of compound menthol spray and study its stability.METHODS:The liquor compound menthol spray was changed to emulsified ones by the solubilizing action of tween80.The stability of emulsified compound menthol spray(ECMS)was observed in airtight container at room temperature(25?2)℃.RESULTS:ECMS was stable within2wks in airtight container at room temperature.CONCLUSION:ECMS is stable in property, convenient in stor?age, and accords with pharmaceutical quality standards.

Objective To investigate the effects of regular insulin (RI)on duodenal smooth muscle in diabetic mice. Methods Diabetes mellitus (DM) model was established by intraperitoneal injection of 150 mg/kg streptozotocin (STZ) in male BALB/c mice. The model mice were divided into DM group and DM treated with RI group with 6 each. Meanwhile, 6 normal mice were served as controls. The mice in treatment group were intraperitoneally injected with 40 U/kg of RI daily.Whereas the mice in DM and control groups were intraperitoneally injected with phosphate buffer solution (pH = 7. 40). After 6 weeks, the small intestinal transit rate of mice was determined by lavage of Indian ink. Interstitial cells of cajal (ICC) in duodenal myenteric plexus were counted using immunohistochemical staining. Slow waves of duodenal smooth muscle cells were recorded with intracellular recordings. Data were analysed by SPSS 17.0 software, and comparisons among three groups were done using LSD test. Results After intervention for 6 months, the clinical presentations, such as more water and food intake and polyuria, were improved in treatment group. The body weight was increased in treatment group [(23.33±3.13) g] compared with DM group [(15.42±1.40) g,P<0.01] ,but dereased compared with control group [(26.78 ± 2.09) g, P<0.05]. The level of blood glucose in DM group was significantly higher than that in control and treatment groups(P<0.01). Small intestine transmission rate was significantly reduced in DM group than that in control and treatment groups (P<0.01), but it was slower in treatment group than that in control group (P< 0. 01 ). Immunohistochemical study showed that the number of c-kit positive cells reduced obviously in DM group than that in control group and treatment group (P<0.05), whereas it was lower in treatment group than that in control group (P < 0.05). The slow wave frequency and amplitude of duodenal smooth muscle cells in DM group were reduced when compared with control and treatment groups (P<0.01) and both were lower in treatment group than that in control group (P<0. 01 ). Conclusion The findings indicate that DM mice have gastrointestinal dysmotility and exogenous insulin may improve small intestinal dysmotility in DM mice.

Objective To compare the immediate effects of extracorporeal shock wave therapy with that of joint mobilization plus short wave therapy in treating scapulohumeral periarthritis, and to elucidate the mechanism of extracorporeal shock wave therapy and how it should be used. Methods Forty-seven patients diagnosed with scapulohumeral periarthritis were selected and randomized into two groups, a treatment group (n = 26) treated with extracorporeal shock wave therapy, and a control group ( n = 21 ) treated with joint mobilization plus short wave therapy. The short form of the McGill pain questionnaire (SF-MPQ) and range of motion (ROM) measurements were used to evaluate shoulder function. Results Compared with baseline, both groups improved significantly af-ter treatment, but the immediate effect in the treatment group was superior to that in the control group. Concln-sions As a safe, time-saving and effective therapy, extracorpnreal shock waves could be used to treat scapulo-humeral periarthritis.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(07):-
Objective To investigate the changes of blood lipid, endothelin(ET)and carbohydrate tolerance in simple obesity children. Methods Serum total cholesterol(TC),triglyeride(TG),low density lipoprotein(LDL),endothelin(ET) and oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT) of 436 cases(light obesity group 242,moderate obesity group 138,heavy obesity group 56) were detected respectively. Results The levels of TC,TG,LDL,ET and OGTT in 3 simple obesity groups were all higher than those in control group obviously and there were significant differences. The significant positive correlation between the obesity children serum lipids,ET and obese degrees were observed.Four insulin resistant children were found in heavy obesity group and none in other groups. Conclusions The levels of serum lipids and ET increases in obesity children and the OGTT decreases in some heavy obesity children. For preventing the obesity related health problems, the simple obesity children should be paid more attention to earlier.

Microbiology 1992;0(01):-
Bc58 is a UV resistant wild type strain that has an ability to produce a sorrel pigment induced by L-tyrosine.The FT-IR spectra and chemical tests of its pigment are similar to that of the standard melanin(Sigma).By bioassay shows that the LC_(50) of a Bt formulation added with the melanin of Bc58 and exposed to UV for 5 h is 16.1?g/mL,which is similar to that of Bt formulation without treated with UV,however,it is almost double higher than that of Bt formulation exposed to UV without the melanin of Bc58.The result of SDS-PAGE indicates that the melanin of Bc58 can protect the insecticidal crystal proteins from degradation. It suggests that an excellent UV protective agent to the insecticidal crystal proteins of Bt formulation.
