Seven sinapine analogs (6a-6g) were synthesized using cinnamon acid or benzoic acid and their derivatives as starting materials, which obtained from substituted benzaldehyde and malonate. The structures of target compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR and elemental analysis. The effects of compounds 6a-6g on the smooth muscle of intestine isolated from rabbit were studied, and the experimental results showed that compounds 6a, 6d and 6g had diastolic action, while 6f had contractile action.

ObjectiveTo find out the prevalence of brucellosis in Baotou, and to provide a scientific basis for integrated control of brucellosis.MethodIn 2010,high-risk people 7 to 70 years of age engaged in livestock farming, grazing, slaughtering, processing and selling were investigated in 9 districts (banners, counties)of Baotou city.In accordance with the principle of informed consent, blood samples were collected, serum titer was tested using the rose bengal agglutination test and tube agglutination test(SAT),and serum titer of 1:100(+ +) was considered as positive brucellosis, and results were evaluated based on brucellosis monitoring standards(GB 16885-1997).ResultsA total of 5832 copy blood samples were collected, and 250 cases were tested positive, the positive rate was 4.25%.The number of new cases was 164,accounting for 2.81% (164/5832).Age was mainly concentrated in the 40 to 60 years, accounting for 66.0%(165/250).Brucellosis infection in the livestock industry accounted for 80.87% (4757/5882).From the regional distribution,DAMAOQI had the most detected cases, and the detection rate was 12.10% (73/603).ConclusionsContinue to increase the brucellosis prevention knowledge propaganda, carry out brucellosis surveillance of high-risk people, quarantine, and strengthen immunity is the only measure of effective control of brucellosis epidemic.

Objective To understand the arsenic level in drinking water and the current situation in prevention and control of endemic arsenic poisoning in Tuyouqi,Baotou of Inner Mongolia. Methods Through door-to-door survey,we selected patients with arsenic poisoning in order to monitor the arsenic poisoning condition of seven villages(Gangfangying,Laohuyao,Shilaozhang,Youfangying,Wanglaosi,Dajing and Xiaojing) in Tuyouqi,Baotou in 2010,and the disease was diagnosed based on Standard of Diagnosis for Endemic Arsenism(WS/T 211-2001).We also investigated the operation of Salaqi Water Company,Maodai Water Company and the Laohuyao water improvement project. We collected two samples per place in both low water period and high water period to measure water arsenic with silver diethyldithiocarbamate spectrophotometry(WS/T 28-1996).Results Three water improving projects were operating in normal conditions.Water arsenic in Salaqi Water Company and Maodai Water Company was level less than 0.01 mg/L,which met the National Safety Standards of drinking water with arsenic.Water arsenic in Laohuyao improvement project was 0.053 mg/L,which was higher than the drinking water safety standards. The seven villages in Tuyouqi had improved their water conditions.Among them, the arsenic level in Laohuyao was 0.052 mg/L,and the remaining six villages were < 0.05 mg/L.There were 6 suspected cases,14 mild cases,4 moderate cases and 10 severe cases of the 2095 people monitored and no new cases found. The age of patients with arsenic poisoning was in the range of 40 to 70.Conclusions The monitoring results show that drinking water arsenic level in some villages in Tuyouqi is still excessive, but no new arsenic poisoning patients in arsenic poisoning areas are found.

Objective To investigate the influencing factors of chronic brucellosis. Methods Nested case control method was used to study newly diagnosed patients (n =600) with brucellosis in a cohort study in 2012.Data of general characterstics, clinical presentation, treatment and prognosis of those patients were collected. These patients were followed up for one year, and the chronic patients as the case group (n =248) and the healed patients as a control group (n =260).By means of Logistic multivariate analysis, factors turned brucellosis into chronic were screened.Result The chronic brucellosis-related factors were:gender, veterinary or epidemic prevention staff, muscle and joint pain, fatigue symptoms, and substandard treatment (x2 =5.163,16.445,14.977,17.154,8.813,all P < 0.05).Conclusion Gender (female),veterinary or epidemic prevention staff, muscle and joint pain, fatigue symptoms, and substandard treatment are probably the chronic brucellosis-related factors

Objective To understand the relationship between GATA -4,-5,-6 gene mutations and con-genital heart disease(CHD),and to provide grounds for early prevention and genetic counseling of children with CHD. Methods GATA -4,-5,-6 coding regions exons and the flanking intron sequences in 1 98 CHD patients were screened, including 66 cases of the ventricular septal defects,84 cases of the atrial septal defects, and 48 cases of the nonsyndromic conotruncal heart defects patients.A total of 300 healthy subjects were selected as controls. The acquired sequences were aligned with which those publicized in GenBank by the aid of program BLAST.All exons and bilateral partial intron -exon boundaries of GATA -4,-5,-6 genes were amplified by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The PCR products were purified and directly sequenced by automatic DNA sequence equipment. The acquired GATA -4,-5,-6 gene sequences were compared with GenBank standard gene sequences with the aid of program BLAST. Results A heterozygous missense mutation in the GATA -4 gene was identified in a ventricular septal defect patient and a persistent truncus arteriosus patient. The mutation was located in c.799G >A(p.V267M)in exon 4 of GATA -4. Multiple aligenment of GATA -4 proteins across species demonstrated that altered amino acid was highly conserved. Transcription factor GATA -5,-6 screening showed no mutations in children with CHD in this study. Conclusions Transcription factor GATA -4 gene mutation may be associated with the occurrence of CHD.Transcription factor GATA -4 gene may be susceptible gene in human CHD.

Background The safety, effectiveness and predictability of laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) to correct hyperopia are of a widely clinical concern, but the efficacy of LASIK for hyperopic correction is not satisfied in comparison to that of myopia. Objective The aim of this work was to evaluate the safety, effectiveness and predictability of autologous corneal len inlays to correct hyperopia. Methods Autologous corneal len inlays was performed on the left eye of female patient with the diopter of +3.25 DS.This patient was followed-up for 1 month.Cornea compensatory intraocular pressure (IOPcc) and imitation Goldmann IOP (IOPg) were measured, and the corneal thickness and corneal flap were observed using optical coherence topography (OCT).Corneal topography was examined to check the change of corneal curvature.Ocular response analyzer was used to evaluate the shifts of corneal hysteresis (CH) and corneal resistance factor (CRF).Uncorrected and best corrected visual acuity and refraction were compared between before and after operation.Written informed consent was obtained from the patient prior to the operation. Results No intraoperative and postoperative complications were found.Uncorrected distance visual acuity improved one line 1 day and 1 month after surgery, and near visual acuity progressed to J2 and the spherical equivalent (SE) was-0.125 D 1 month after surgery.OCT exhibited that the cornea was clear and transparent, and the graft was centered in the corneal stroma capsular bag without rejection 1 month after surgery. The IOPcc was 12.4 mmHg before operation and 11.9 mmHg 1 month after operation, and IOPg was 11.9 mmHg before operation and 10.7 mmHg 1 month after operation in the operated eye.The CH was 9.7 mmHg before operation and 8.9 mmHg 1 month after operation, and CRF was 10.9 mmHg before operation and 10.3 mmHg 1 month after operation, without remarkble change in the indexes mentioned above. Conclusions Autologous corneal implantation can be used to correct hyperopic eye with good safety, effectiveness and predictability.
