Objective To discuss the influence about three kinds of nasal feeding methods on ICU critical patients with gastrointestinal complications, thus providing guidance for ICU patients to choose reasonable way of nasal feeding pump injection. Methods 120 ICU patients were randomly assigned into three groups, which is the continuous 6-hour and intermittent 2-hour every three time pump group and continuous 24-hours pump group and intermittent 24-hour(continuous 2-hour and intermittent 1-hour every eight time units)pump group ,each group has 40 cases. To observe the the influence about three different way of nasogastric on ICU critical patients with gastrointestinal complications. Results The incidence of diarrhea and constipation among the three groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05) . The gastric retention rate of the continuous 24-hour pump group was significantly higher than that of the continuous 6-hour and intermittent 2-hour pump group and the intermittent 24-hour pump group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the continuous 6-hour and intermittent 2-hour pump group and the intermittent 24-hour pump group, (P > 0.05). Conclusions The continuous 24-hour pump group in gastric retention was slightly worse than the other two pump way. Compared with ICU class three a week and feeding times , the continuous 6-hour and intermittent 2-hour pump method is more suitable for ICU patients.

A lactoferrin-containing PEGylated liposome system (Lf-PLS) was developed and tested in vitro as a hepatoma-targeting drug delivery system. PEGylated liposomes (PLS) were successfully prepared using the thin film hydration method with peglipid post insertion. Lf was covalently conjugated onto the carboxyl terminal of DSPE-PEG2000-COOH on liposomes. Coumarin-6 was used to trace Lf-PLS with fluorescence. The cellular uptake of this system was carried out in asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGPR) positive HepG2 cells via confocal microscopy and flow cytometry. The Lf-PLS liposome was observed as spherical or oval vesicles with the particle size around 130 nm, zeta potential about -30 mV and encapsulation efficiency more than 80%. The confocal microscopy images and flow cytometry data demonstrated that Lf-PLS resulted in significantly higher cell association by ASGPR positive HepG2 cells compared to PLS. The association between Lf-PLS and cells were dependent on the concentration, time and temperature, which was inhibited by pre-incubation with excessive free Lf. The results suggest that Lf-PLS has a good targeting effect on HepG2 cells in vitro. The targeting mechanism may be related to the specific binding of Lf and ASGPR on HepG2 cells, which guides Lf-PLS to the cell surface to induce an active endocytosis process. All these results demonstrated that Lf-PLS might be a potential drug delivery system in targeting hepatocellular carcinoma, which deserves more research on its targeting ability, antitumor efficiency, and metabolism in vivo for treatment of hepatomacellular carcinoma.

Objective To investigate the clinical features, treatment response and prognosis in children with Takayasu′s arteritis(TA) in order to improve the understanding of TA.Methods A retrospective study of 10 children with TA was performed. All of them were admitted and diagnosed in Peking University First Hospital from Jan.1998 to Oct.2008.The clinical features, laboratory tests, imaging modalities, treatment response and prognosis were all collected and evaluated. Results There were 3 boys and 7 girls in the 10 patients with TA,and the ratio of male to female was 12.3.The onset was from 4 months to 9 years old, with average age at 5.5 years old.The average duration of diagnosis was 7.6 months. The incidences of hypertension, vascular bruits, albuminuria, convulsion were present in 100%,100%,70% and 40%,respectively.The clinical types included typeⅡ(60%),type Ⅲ(10%) and type Ⅳ(30%).The acute phase inflammatory indices of activity such as erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),C-reactive protein(CRP) and white blood cell(WBC) were not evidently increased.Tuberculosis infection was found in 6 out of 10 patients and anti-tuberculosis treatment was performed.Six patients were treated with steroids and 3 cases of them were also given immunosuppressives cyclophosphamide or methotrexate.Three of the 10 patients received anti-hypertensive and vasodilator. Two patients received percutaneous translurminal angioplasty and 1 patient received nephrectomy. One patient died of renal failure, heart failure and shock. Conclusions The patients with TA had high prevalence of tuberculosis infection, diagnosis as often late because of lack of specific clinical features at the acute inflammatory period. When organic ischaemia occurred, treatment response was usually unsatisfactory.Patients with multi-systemic and multi-viscera lesions should have comprehensive examination, especially for those with hypertension, pulseless and vascular bruits,in order to rule out TA.Early ultrasonography, computed tomography and magnetic resonnance image methods are valued in eariler diagnosis and they are the key factors to improve prognosis.

The effects of fucoidan on the lipidomics profiling of juvenile yellow catfish (pelteobagrus fulvidraco) during different feeding time (week 1, week 2, week 3 and week 8) were investigated by ultra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time-of-flight-mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-TOF-MS) combined with multivariate data analysis, e.g.principal component analysis (PCA) and partial least squares-discriminate analysis (PLS-DA).Based on VIP and p values, 11 lipid biomarkers were screened including lysophosphatidylcholine (Lyso-PC) 16∶0, phosphatidylcholine (PC) 22∶6/16∶0, phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) 22∶6/16∶0, phosphatidylinositol (PI) 18∶0/22∶6, diacylglycerol (DAG) 16∶0/16∶0,DAG 16∶0/18∶1, DAG 18∶1/18∶1, triglycerides (TAG) 20∶5/16∶0/18∶3, TAG 20∶4/16∶1/18∶2, TAG 16∶0/18∶2/20∶5 and TAG 18∶2/14∶0/18∶1.It was found that Lyso-PC, PC, PE and PI had the largest levels at the eighth week;the levels of DAG were decreased at the second and fourth weeks, and increased at the eighth week. While TAG was different: the content of TAG 18∶2/14∶0/18∶1, TAG 20∶5/16∶0/18∶3 and TAG 20∶4/16∶1/18∶2 increased in response to fucoidan, but TAG 16∶0/18∶2/20∶5 decreased little. Therefore, for juvenile yellow catfish, fucoidan can affect its lipid metabolism, which provides a theoretical basis for investigation of the influence of fucoidan on the response mechanism of lipid metabolism of juvenile yellow catfish.
