Object To investigate the features of health related quality of life ( HRQOL) among elderly hypertensive patients with different body mass index (BMI) so s to provide evidence for the health promotion of hypertensive. Methods A cross-sectional survey of health status data from a population of 1281 elderly hypertensive patients from Beijing and 8 provinces of China ( Jiangsu, Anhui, Gansu, Qinghai, Fujian, Jilin, Jiangxi, and Henan) was made in the study. Analysis of variance was applied to compare the differences in HRQOL of elderly hypertensive patients in different BMI categories. Results For the elderly hypertensive patients with low body mass index, the scores of 8 dimensions and scores in physical component summary (PCS) and mental component summary( MCS) of SF-36 were the lowest;except the role-emotional(RE) dimension,the scores of other 7 dimensions,PCS and MCS were significantly different(PF,RP,BP,GH,VT,MH, P<0.01; SF,PCS,MCS, P<0.01). Comparing the scores between any two groups in PCS, the scores of patients with low body mass index were significantly lower than normal weight group (62.30 ± 22. 12 vs72.40 ±20.86, P<0.05) .overweight group (62.30 ± 22.12 vs 74.97 ± 19.20, P<0.05 ) and obese group (62.30 ± 22.12 vs 74.57 ± 19. 22, P < 0.05 ). Comparing the scores between any two groups in MCS,the scores of patients with low body mass index were significantly lower than normal weight group (68. 81 ± 20. 48 vs 74. 70 ± 20.41, P < 0. 05), overweight group (68. 81 ± 20. 48 vs 78.08 ±18.23, P<0.05) and obese group (68.81 ±20.48 vs 78. 69 ± 17.77, P<0.05); the score of normal weight group was significantly lower than the overweight group (74. 70 ±20. 41vs 78. 08 ±18.23, P<0.05). Gender Stratification showed that females with low body mass index had worse HRQOL than males. Conclusion The HRQOL of elderly hypertensive patients with low body mass index is significantly lower than normal weight patients, overweight patients and obese patients, the health promotion of elderly hypertensive patients with low body mass index should be paid more attentions, especially females with low body mass index.

Objective To explore the effect of preventing adhesion after the orbital blowout fracture on orbit tissue by amniotic membrane. Design Experimental study. Participants Twenty-six New Zealand rabbits. Methods Establishing rabbit orbital blowout fracture model, the right orbit of twenty rabbits was repaired by hydroxyapatite (HA) parceled of amniotic membrane, and left orbit was only repaired by HA, the orbits of the other six rabbits weren't repaired. Then we got the tissue around bone after one week and one month, and compared the difference of three groups. Main Outcome Measures Inflammatory response of tissue around bone was ana- lyzed by HE, picric acid Sirius Scarlet dying, TGF-?immunohistoehemical observation. Results One week after operation, HE and im- munohistochemistry showed that the difference was not significant in inflammatory response between experimental group and control group (P=0.351, P=0.413), and difference is significant between blank group and experimental group (P=0.012, P=0.041). One month after operation, HE and immunohistoehemistry showed that the difference was significant in inflammatory response between experimental group and control group(P=0.037, P=0.048), and there is no significant difference between experimental group and blank group(P=0.285, P=0.472). Conclusion It has an important role of anti-inflammatory and anti-adhesion in the chronic stage of inflammatory after orbital blowout fracture repaired by man-made plates of amniotie membrane.

Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of detecting urinary natural killer(NK) cells in patients with general types of glomerulonephritis. Methods The contents of urinary NK cells from 54 patients with glomerulonephritis were measured by flowcytometry,while all patients were classified into two groups including acute proliferation group and none-acute proliferation group by renal biopsy results. The content of urinary NK cells was compared between the two groups. Results The content of urinary NK cells in acute proliferative glomerular disease group were( 14. 8 ±3. 3)% (30 cases) ,which was significantly higher than that of(21. 6 ±2. 9)% (24 cases) in the non-acute proliferative glomerular patients(P<0.05). Conclusions Decreasing of the contents of NK cells in urine may be an indirect indicator of the activity of glomerulonephritis.

OBJECTIVETo assess the values of diffusion weighted imaging and contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the evaluation of early endometrial cancer.

METHODSWe retrospectively analyzed the imaging data of 27 patients with pathologically confirmed stage 1-2 endometrial cancer. These patients received pelvic magnetic resonance imaging, diffusion weighted imaging with apparent diffusion coefficient-T2 weighted imaging fusion images(ADC-T2WI), and T1 weighted imaging (T1WI) of contrast-enhanced scan sequence. The accuracies of these image modes were analyzed and compared.

RESULTSThe accuracy of routine pelvic MRI scan, diffusion weighted imaging with ADC-T2WI fusion images, and T1WI of contrast-enhanced scan for the early diagnosis of endometrial cancer was 66.7%, 85.2%, and 92.5%, respectively. The sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic accuracy of diffusion weighted imaging with ADC-T2WI fusion images in the diagnosis of lesions with a 1/2 depth of muscle were 82.3%, 75%, and 85.2%.

CONCLUSIONSRoutine pelvic MRI scan sequence has certain errors for the early diagnosis of endometrial cancer. On the contrary, the diffusion weighted imaging with ADC-T2WI image fusion has remarkably increased diagnostic accuracy. The T1WI of contrast-enhanced scan can clearly display most of the lesions by identifying the muscular infiltrations, and therefore can provide the most accurate information for the staging of early endometrial cancer.

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study is to clarify the association between Cu levels and heart failure(HF)using a meta- analysis approach. METHODS We searched articles in the PubMed, EMbase, CNKI, Wanfang ,VIP and CBM Database published as of August 2016. The case control study on the relationship between serum copper levels and HF were collected and read and extracted by two independent researchers. A Meta analysis was conducted using Stata 12.0 software. RESULTS A total of twenty- one eligible articles, including 893 HF and 654 control subjects, were enrolled. The Meta analysis showed that serum copper levels in HF were higher than control group〔SMD=0.881, 95%CI: (0.487 ,1.264), Z=4.5, P<0.001〕. The sensitivity analysis indicated that the results were reliable. Begg's tests did not find the existence of publication bias. CONCLUSION This meta-analysis indicates that there is a significant association between high Cu serum level and HF.

Objective To study the regulatory effect of interferons(IFNs) on retinoic acid-inducible gene-Ⅰ(RIG-Ⅰ) and the roles of RIG-Ⅰ in IFNs signaling pathway. Methods RIG-Ⅰ expression before and after IFNs treatment in mouse embryonic fibroblasts(MEFs) were analyzed with Northern blotting and semi-quantitative RT-PCR assay.MEFs isolated from wild-type and RIG-Ⅰ-/-mice were used to test growth inhibition and antiviral activity of IFNs with MTT assay and cytopathic effect inhibition assay. Results Both IFN-? and IFN-? could induce RIG-Ⅰ expression in MEFs.Treated with 100 U/mL IFN-?,growth inhibition and antiviral activity of MEFs from wild-type mice were more significant than those from RIG-Ⅰ-/-mice.With the absence of RIG-Ⅰ,the antiviral protective role IFN-? plays was significantly weaker than the wild type. Conclusion RIG-Ⅰ gene is a novel mediator of interferon effects on cells.It may participate in the inflammation responses mediated by IFNs through modulating cytokines production.

Objective To study the effect of Xin Kang Injection on cardiac function of rats with adriamycin-induced myocarditis and to explore its pharmacological mechanism.Methods Seventy Wistar rats were randomly divided into seven groups:normal control group,model group,three-dosage Xin Kang Injection groups(high-,moderate-and low-dosage respectively),deslanoside group,and Huangqi group.The myocarditis rat model was established by intraperitoneal injection of adriamycin.Left ventricular end-diastolic pressure(LVEDP),left ventricular systolic pressure(LVSP),heart rate(HR),T value,and ? DP/DTmax were observed.Results LVSP,+ DP/DTmax in the treatment groups were higher and-DP/DTmax lower than those in the model group(P

Objective Kunming strain(KM) mice were used as animal models. Nontoxic dextran conjugated with tetramethylrhodamine(TMR)and fluorecein isothiocyante(FITC)was microinjected to two of the 2-cell blastomere as molecular probe to trace the development fate of the blastomere ,in order to figure out the mechanisms of the formation of Em-Ab axis. Methods FITC- dextran was injected to zygote in order to make sure if it is noxious. Two blastomeres of 2-cell embryo were injected FITC- dextran and TMR- dextran respectively. Results When labeled embryo develeped to blastocyst, distribution of progeny of 2-cell embryo blastomeres can be detected.Conclusion The cells of blastomere randomly distributed either embryonic parts or extraembryonic parts of blastocyst.

Objective: To examine the relationship between traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) constitutional types and health status among groups of different age or gender in the general population of China. Methods: Data of 8 448 cases were randomly sampled from a database of 21 948 cases of a cross-sectional survey on the TCM constitutional types and health status which was carried out in 9 provinces or municipalities of China (Jiangsu, Anhui, Gansu, Qinghai, Fujian, Beijing, Jilin, Jiangxi and Henan) according to gender and age structure of the Chinese population in 2005. Scores of health-related quality of life scale--the Medical Outcomes Study 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey (MOS SF-36)--were analyzed by Nemenyi test to compare the health status of individuals with different constitutional types. Results: Compared with the gentleness type, the MOS SF-36 scores of the 8 types of pathological constitution were significantly low (P<0.05) among groups of different age or gender. The MOS SF-36 score was the lowest in men of the qi-deficiency, qi-depression and blood-stasis types, while it was the lowest in women of the phlegm-dampness, qi-depression and qi-deficiency types. For the age group of 15 to 34, the special diathesis, qi-depression and blood-stasis types had the lowest MOS SF-36 scores; for the age group of 35 to 59, the qi-deficiency, qi-depression and blood-stasis types had the lowest MOS SF-36 scores; for the age group of over 60, the qi-deficiency, qi-depression and phlegm-dampness types had the lowest MOS SF-36 scores. Conclusion: In groups of different gender or age, the MOS SF-36 scores of the 8 types of pathological constitution were significantly lower than that of the gentleness type, indicating a deficient health status. The health status of different types of constitution showed different characteristics in groups of different gender or age.

Objective To investigate the clinical value for treatment of diabetic foot with PTA and PTA combined cinepazide maleate.Methods In 24 cases of diabetic associated vascular disease of lower limb,12 cases were treated with PTA and other 12 cases were treated with PTA combined einepazide maleate,We analysed and compared clinical effects before and after the procedure,together with 3 months follow up.Results In patients treated with PTA,the clinical symptom scores of posttreatment and follow-up decreased;ABI and TcPO_2 increased significantly.The clinical symptom score and ABI of follow-up remained,stable,but TcPO_2 decreased significantly.Control angiography showed improvement in degree of vascular stenosis and peripheral staining of 11 patients after treatment.The vascular patency remained in 12 patients and the peripheral staining decreased in 7 patients on follow-up.In patients treated with VIA combined cinepazide maleate,the clinical symptom score,ABI and TcPO_2 after treatment and on follow-up showed no signifcant changes compared with those in patients treated by PTA.F,Control angiography showed that the degree of vascular stenosis and peripheral staining were improved in 12 patients after treatment.The vascular pateney was maintained and peripheral staining was improved on follow-up.Before and after treatment,there were no significant differences in clinical symptom score.ABI and TcPO_2 between patients treated with PTA and PTA combined cinepazide maleate,however,there were significant differences in clinical symptom score and TcPO_2 on follow-up.Conclusion PTA can significantly improve clinical symptom of diabetic foot and the application of cinepazide maleate is a benefitial and necessary supplement.PTA combined cinepazide maleate can be taken as one of the conventional treatment plans for diabetic foot.(J Intervent Radiol,2007,16:811-815)
