Objective To investigate the effect of the Kolb experience learning theory applied in Surgical Nursing teaching.Methods 120 students were selected randomly and were divided into 2 groups,the observation group operated the teaching mode based on the Kolb experience learning theory,the control group operated traditional teaching.After the experiment,using the theory test,the skill test,the questionnaire survey to evaluate the teaching effectiveness.Results The two groups showed statistical difference in theory exam results,learning effect of each dimension and evaluation of teaching effect.Conclusions The teaching mode based on the Kolb experience learning theory can improve the students' interest in learning and study effect,and push forward the reform of teaching implementatiou.

Objective To compare the diagnostic efficacy of the V/Q scan and CT pulmonary angiography (CTPA) for the detection of acute pulmonary embolism (PE) in elderly patients.Methods Fortyfour patients (age ≥60 years old) with suspected acute PE underwent V/Q scan and CTPA.The diagnosis of PE by V/Q scan was based on the criteria of prospective investigation of PE diagnosis (PIOPED) Ⅱ and the prospective investigative study of acute PE diagnosis (PISA-PED).The final diagnosis was made clinically.The sensitivities,specificities and accuracies of PIOPED Ⅱ,PISA-PED,CTPA and Wills score were calculated and compared using x2 and Fisher's exact tests.Kappa analysis was used to analyze the diagnostic accordance rate of PIOPED Ⅱ and PISA-PED.Results The sensitivities of PIOPED Ⅱ,PISA-PED and CTPA in the diagnosis of PE were 70.00％ (14/20),84.62％ (22/26) and 65.22％ (15/23),respectively (x2 =0.069-1.545,all P＞0.05).The sensitivity of Wills score was significantly lower (23.08％,3/13).The specificity of CTPA (93.75％,15/16) was significantly higher than those of PIOPED lⅡ and PISAPED (80.00％,12/15 and 61.11％,11/18,both P＜0.05).The accuracies of PIOPED Ⅱ,PISA-PED and CTPA were 74.29％ (26/35),75.00％ (33/44) and 76.92％ (30/39),respectively (x2 =0.005-0.070,all P＞0.05).The accuracy of Wills score was significantly lower (52.17％,12/23).The diagnostic accordance rate of PIOPED Ⅱ and PISA-PED criteria was 77.14％(27/35),Kappa=0.547,P＜0.05.Conclusion V/Q scan and CTPA have no significant difference for the diagnosis of PE in the elderly patients.

BACKGROUND: Studies have shown that the combined use of sufentanil and neural stem cell (NSC) transplantation can increase the number of newborn nerve fibers.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of sufentanil on the hind limb function of rats with spinal cord injury after neural stem cell transplantation.METHODS: (1) Eighty adult female Sprague-Dawley rats were used to build spine cord injury model according to the modified Allen's method and divided into model group, sufentanil group, NSCs transplantation group and sufentanil combined with NSCs transplantation group (combined group). Extra 20 adult female Sprague-Dawley rats were not conducted any treatment as normal control group. (2) After 6 days of modeling, the model rats were subjected to subarachnoid injection of 10 μL of NSC culture medium and intraperitoneal injection of 100 μL of saline in the model group; subarachnoid injection of 10 μL of NSC culture medium and intraperitoneal injection of 100 μL of sufentanil (150 μg/kg) in the sufentanil group; subarachnoid injection of 10 μL of 1×1010/L NSCs suspension and intraperitoneal injection of 100 μL of saline in the NSCs transplantation group; and subarachnoid injection of 10 μL of 1×1010/L NSCs suspension and intraperitoneal injection of 100 μL of sufentanil (150 μg/kg) in the combined group. (3) After 72 hours of modeling, the AQP4 and MMP9 gene expression levels were detected by RT-PCR, and the cell apoptosis changes around the spine cord injury area were determined with TUNEL staining method. (4) The motor functions of rats were tested by Basso, Beattie and Bresnahan score and inclined plane test after 1, 3 days and 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks of modeling. (5) After 4 weeks of modeling, the histopatholgical changes in the area of spine cord injury were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining method. The survival changes of NSCs labeled by CM-Dil were determined by fluorescence microscope. The regenerations and distributions of spinal nerve fibers were observed by fluorescein gold retrograde tagging.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) After 72 hours of modeling, the AQP4 and MMP9 gene expression levels as well as the cell apoptotic rate in the combined group were significantly lower than those in the model, sufentanil and NSCs transplantation groups (P < 0.05). (2) After 2 weeks of modeling, the combined treatment significantly improved the hind limb motor functions of rats compared with the sufentanil and NSCs transplantation groups (P < 0.05), and the recovery of motor function was better in the sufentanil and NSCs transplantation groups than in the model group (P < 0.05). (3) After 4 weeks of modeling, the results of hematoxylin-eosin staining manifested that the spinal cord tissues lost and the magnified syringomyelias occurred in the model group. The syringomyelias in the sufentanil and NSCs transplantation groups were significantly smaller than that in the model group, and the syringomyelias almost disappeared in the combined group. (4) The number of positive cells was the most in the combined group, more in the NSCs transplantation group, but there were no positive cells labeled by CM-Dil in the sufentanil and negative control groups. (5) The number of positive neural fibers in the combined group was the highest followed by the sufentanil and NSCs transplantation groups, and the number of positive neural fibers in negative control group was the lowest. To conclude, sufentanil can improve the recovery of hind limb motor function by reducing the AQP4 and MMP9 expression levels in the injury area, promoting the survival of transplanted NSCs, and decreasing the local NSCs apoptosis after spinal cord injury.

Objective: To study the preventive effect of lycopene (LP) on hyperglycemia in alloxan-induced diabetic rats, and reveal its possible mechanism.Method:Forty Sprague-Dawley rats were randomized into 5 groups:three groups of LP at doses of 5, 20, 50 mg(/kg bw ?d)for 15d, one control group and one model group of salad oil. Then alloxan (ALx) were injected intraperitoneally to the rats at dose of 150 mg/kg bw. At D4 and D14 after ALx injection, an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) was performed and body weight was measured, and at D14 GSP, FINS, NEFA, SOD,GSH-Px and MDA in liver were also determined . Objective To investigate the prevalence and characteristics of adverse reactions to cosmetics in China,and to provide a basis for further supervision.Methods The diagnosis of adverse reactions to cosmetics was according to 7 national standards (GB17149.1-7-1997) including the A general rule for the diagnosis and management of skin diseases induced by cosmetics.Data regarding gender,age,occupation,educational background,disease types,cosmetic types,and so on,were collected from patients with adverse reactions to cosmetics at 13 surveillance sites in China during 2005-2014.A descriptive statistical analysis was carried out.Results During 2005-2014,a total of 13 534 cases of adverse reactions to cosmetics were reported to the monitoring system.Of these cases,95.40％ (12 912/13 534) were female,and 80.85％ were young or middle-aged (20-44 years).Finally,5 446 cases were confirmed to be adverse reactions to cosmetics,among which,94.66％ (5 155/5 466) were contact dermatitis to cosmetics,and 132 were other types that were not included in the A general rule for the diagnosis and management of skin diseases induced by cosmetics.Among these confirmed cases,14 209 cosmetic products were involved,and ordinary skin care products predominated in these products.The proportion of imported cosmetic products (48.79％,6 932/14 209) was slightly higher than that of domestic products (43.21％,6 139/14 209).The number of reported eases increased by 13.16％ per year from 2005 to 2009,but decreased by 17.96％ per year from 2010 to 2014.Conclusion Adverse reactions to cosmetics are a complicated and important public health issue,and effective measures should be taken based on their characteristics.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate incidence of postoperative delirium after hip surgery in elderly patients by meta-analysis.

METHODSFrom January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2013, clinical literatures about postoperative delirium after hip surgery in elderly patients,were searched from the Pubmed. Literature extract table were formed according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Stata-12.0 was applied for Meta-analysis. P was used to test heterogeneity of study, random-effect model was performed when I2 > 50%. Subgroup analysis was used according to stage of age, assessment scale of delirium and statistical area of literature. Begg test was used to test publication bias.

RESULTSTwenty-one literatures were included. Incidence of postoperative delirium after hip surgery in elderly patients by weighted and combination was 17% [95% CI (16%, 18%)]. Incidence of postoperative delirium after optional hip surgery was decreased more than emergency operation in included 5 literatures [OR = 0.32, 95% CI (0.22, 0.45)]. Incidence of postoperative delirium in patients less than 80 years old was 21% [95% CI (19%, 23%)], while 21% [95% CI (19%, 24%)] in patients more than 80 years old. Incidence of postoperative delirium in CAM evaluation scale was 23% [95% CI (21%, 26%)], while 19% [95% CI (17%, 21%)] in other evaluation scales. Incidence of postoperative delirium in Asian area was 17% [95% CI (15%, 20%)], while 23% [95% CI (21%, 25%)] in European and American area. There was no publication bias tested by Begg test (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONIncidence of postoperative delirium after hip surgery in elderly patients increases higher, especially in emergency operation. A standardizing research method is benefit for evaluate incidence of postoperative delirium after hip surgery in elderly patients, decreasing heterogeneity and publication bias.

Objective To determine the value of 18F-FDG PET/CT in the detection of subsolid pulmonary nodules.Methods The 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging data of 44 patients (35 males,9 females,mean age (68.05±9.89) years) with 49 subsolid pulmonary nodules were retrospectively analyzed.There were 28 pure ground-glass nodules (pGGN) and 21 part-solid nodules (PSN),which were all confirmed by postsurgical pathology or imaging results during follow-up.The lesion size (dmax),ground-glass opacity (GGO) percentage,SUV retention index (RI),and the positive rates on PET images were accessed.The correlation between SUVmax and lesion size and GGO percentage was analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis.The SUVmax between benign and malignant pGGN,and that between malignant pGGN and PSN,were compared using two-sample t test.The diagnostic accuracy was compared using x2 test.Results (1) Six pGGN were benign while 43 nodules (including 22 pGGN and 21 PSN) were malignant among the 49 nodules.(2) SUVmax was positively correlated with lesion size (r=0.500,P＜0.05) and was negatively correlated with GGO percentage (r=-0.605,P＜0.05) for PSN,while SUVmax was positively correlated with lesion size (r=0.375,P＜0.05) for pGGN.(3) SUVmax was not significantly different (t =-0.813,P＞0.05) between 6 benign pGGN (0.78±0.25,range:0.50-1.20) and 22 malignant pGGN (0.91±0.34,range:0.40-1.70);SUVmax of 21 malignant PSN (2.10±1.16,range:0.60-5.60) was higher than that of 22 malignant pGGN (t=-4.645,P＜0.05).(4) When a nodule's activity being equal to or greater than that of mediastinal blood-pool was defined as malignancy,the accuracy rate of PSN (66.7％,14/21) was significantly higher than that of pGGN (9.1％,2/22; x2 =15.244,P ＜0.05).Based on the criteria for malignancy of RI＞10％,the accuracy rates for PSN and pGGN were 65.0％ (13/20) and 45.8％ (11/24),respectively (x2 =1.616,P＞0.05).Conclusion 18F-FDG PET/CT shows no clear advantage for diagnosis of pGGN,but is helpful for PSN.

Objective To investigate the left ventricular synchrony under different ischemic statuses using phase analysis of 99Tem-MIBI gated SPECT MPI (GSMPI).Methods The data of 129 patients (65 males,64 females,age:48-88 (68.6±10.2) years) who underwent 2-d stress-rest GSMPI were retrospectively analyzed.Perfusion images were scored by a 5-grade criteria (0-4) based on 17 coronary artery segments.Patients were divided into normal perfusion group (G1) and abnormal perfusion group (G2) according to the summed stress scores.G2 was divided into reversible perfusion defect subgroup (G2a) and irreversible perfusion defect subgroup (G2b) by the summed difference scores.The difference of PSD and PHB between groups and the difference between stress and rest GSMPI within each subgroup were compared using two-sample t test and paired t test,respectively.Results The numbers of patients in G1,G2,G2a and G2b were 66,63,39 and 24,respectively.The PSD (18.3±7.8) and PHB (68.6±30.9) of G2 were significantly higher than those (14.3±6.6 and 50.2±20.0) of G1 (t =-3.110,-3.989,both P＜0.05).The PSD and PHB of G2b were higher than those of G2a,but the difference was not statistically significant (t:-1.554 to-0.408,all P＞0.05),and the differences of PSD and PHB between rest and stress MPI within each subgroup were not significantly different (t:-0.961 to-0.114,all P＞0.05).The PSD (20.4±8.1 and 20.8±6.4) and PHB (77.8±53.5 and 78.4±26.7) of rest and stress GSMPI in patients with LVEF ≤60％were significantly higher than those in patients with LVEF＞60％(15.0±6.8 and 15.3±7.0,53.5±23.0 and 55.9±24.5;t:3.642 to 4.567,all P＜0.05).Conclusions 99Tcm-MIBI GSMPI phase analysis can show damage effect of abnormal myocardial perfusion on left ventricular synchrony,which influencing global left ventricular function,and it can show different left ventricular synchrony due to different degrees of myocardial ischemia.There is nearly same value of stress GSMPI and rest GSMPI in assessment of left ventricular synchrony.

[ ABSTRACT] AIM:To investigate the effect of oxidized low-density lipoprotein ( ox-LDL) on autophagy in mac-rophages and the underlying molecular mechanisms.METHODS:RAW264.7 macrophages were pretreated with 2 mg/L anti-CD36 monoclonal antibody (anti-CD36 mAb), 5 μmol/L diphenyleneiodonium (DPI), 3 mmol/L 3-methyladenine (3-MA) or 1μmol/L rapamycin for 1 h and then treated with ox-LDL (100 mg/L) for 12 h.The viability of the cells was measured by MTT assay.The activities of lactic dehydrogenase ( LDH) in the medium and nicotinamide adenine dinucleoti-de phosphate ( NADPH) oxidase, superoxide dismutase ( SOD) in the cells as well as the levels of intracellular reactive ox-ygen species ( ROS) and malondialdehyde ( MDA) were determined to characterize the membrane integrity and the oxida-tive stress, respectively.The protein levels of beclin-1 and microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3-II ( LC3-II) , 2 important molecular markers of autophagy, were examined by Western blotting.RESULTS:ox-LDL induced autophagy in
RAW264.7 macrophages as assessed by upregulation of beclin-1 and LC3-II.Similar to 3-MA, an autophagy inhibitor, an-ti-CD36 mAb significantly inhibited the ox-LDL-induced upregulation of beclin-1 and LC3-II.Anti-CD36 mAb suppressed the ox-LDL-induced oxidative stress as revealed by decreased NADPH oxidase activation, ROS and MDA generation as well as increased SOD activity.Similar results were observed in the cells pretreated with DPI, a NADPH oxidase inhibitor.Mo-reover, DPI significantly inhibited the ox-LDL-induced upregulation of beclin-1 and LC3-II.Inaddition, the decrease in the cell viability and increase in LDH release induced by ox-LDL were promoted by 3-MA and blocked by rapamycin ( an auto-phagy inducer).CONCLUSION: ox-LDL induces autophagy in RAW264.7 macrophages, which may be involved in CD36-mediated ox-LDL uptake and subsequent activation of oxidative stress, and moderate activation of autophagy may pro-tect macrophages from ox-LDL-induced injury.

Objective To analyze the dose of radiation to medical staff during 125I seeds loading Methods The radiation dose at different distances was measured by using thermoluminescence dosimeters (TLD),and the safe range for medical person was calculated.The doses and annual accumualive doses to the medical staff were estimated.Results The dose attenuation rates were 77.61％,98.04％,98.79％,99.30％,99.71％ and 100％ at distance of 10,20,30,40,50 and 100 cm from seeds tank,respectively.The dose to fingertips,chest,lens and thyroid of doctor were 51.08,35.50,34.73 and 33.78 μGy,and the annual dose reached 12.77,8.88,8.68 and 8.45 mGy when the number of annual operations was 250.The attenuation rate was 79.60％ and 28.36％ of inside and outside lead glass,respectively.Conclusions The radiation is undetectable at 100 cm away from seeds tank in the process of loading of 125I seeds,and lead glass is necessary for radiation protection.
