Objective To compare the efficacy of nitroglycerine administered by local application and intravenous injection for uterine relaxation in patients undergoing caesarean section. Methods Sixty ASA Ⅰ patients, aged 25-35 yr, weighing 60-90 kg, undergoing caesarean section, were randomly allocated into 3 groups ( n = 20 each): control group (group C), intravenous injection group (group I) and local application group (group L). Combined spinal-epidural block was used in the patients. After isolation of uterus, nitroglycerine 0.2 mg was injected intravenously in group Ⅰ and was injected into uterine muscle in group L. The delivery time, blood loss during operation and MAP at the time of uterus incision and 3, 5, 10, 15 and 20 min after uterus incision were recorded. Results Compared with group C, MAP at the time of uterus incision was significantly decreased and the delivery time was significantly shortened in group Ⅰ and L, and the blood loss during operation was significantly increased in group Ⅰ while decreased in group L ( P ＜ 0.05). MAP at the time of uterus incision and 3, 5, and 10 min after uterus incision was significantly increased, the delivery time was significantly shortened, and the blood loss during operation was significantly decreased in group L compared with group Ⅰ ( P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Local application of nitroglycerine exerts better efficacy than intravenous injection for uterine relaxation in patients undergoing caesarean section.

Based on a clinical and radiological study of radiation injuries of the bones in the 17 cases, the relationship between the osseous changes and the radiation dosage and between the time from radiation therapy and the onset of the radiographic osseous changes were discussed. The authors found that the degree of local skin infection might determine the type of its underneath osseous injuries, i. e. being either "septic" (osteomyelitic) or "aseptic" (bone atrophic) radionecrosis, and it might also determine the time when the osseous changes appeared on the radiogram. It was found that radiation injuries of the bone could be distinguished from bone metastases. The authors suggest that a regular X-ray follow-up of the bones that had received a heavy dose of radiation should be made in order to reveal bone atrophy as early as posible and to remind the patient to avoid any trauma and infection.

An evaluation scale of medical services quality was developed on the basis of "patients' experience". The questionnaires were developed by, among others, searching relevant literature, collecting well-established assessment scales, measuring patients' experience and satisfaction, brain-storming, literature analysis. Delphi method was adopted for expert consultation. Scale items were screened and revised. The key indexes were converted. Field surveys were conducted for testing the reliability and validity of the scale. Our modified evaluation scale for measuring medical services quality based on "patients' experience" included 6 dimensions (tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and continuity), and 50 items. The novel scale based on "patients' experience" may better serve the purpose of assessing medical services quality.

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for benign sustainable development of traditional Chinese and ethnic medicine enterprises in Guizhou. METHODS:Taking 129 traditional Chinese and ethnic medicine enterprises of 9 city and prefecture in Gui-zhou as survey object,questionnaires survey was conducted in 55 enterprises by stratified sampling according to location. The data statistical analysis was carried out in respects of related policies familiarity,product positioning,independent innovation from 2009 to 2013. Relevant development countermeasures were put forward. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS:45.1% of enterprises ex-pressed to know and be familiar with relevant policies,51.0% expressed to alert but only understand,and 3.9% said largely un-known. At the past five years,the annual output value and sales revenue of enterprises had risen year by year. Almost 80% produc-tion and technical personnel of enterprises had the junior title or no title;marketing department staff mainly had college and second-ary school degree,accounting for 47.5% and 25.3% respectively;research personnel mainly had bachelor and college degree,ac-counting for 57.0% and 33.7% respectively. At the past five years,independent innovation input took up 2.4% of sales revenue av-eragely. There are problems,such as small and medium enterprises occupying dominate position;enterprises lacking of sufficient understanding on related policies;strategies being adjusted slowly;independent innovation input intensity needing to increase. Countermeasures and suggestions are put forward,such as strengthening the relevant policy advocacy,guiding corporate mergers and acquisitions,closely paying attention to industry development,changing innovation ideas,and attaching importance to research of exclusive production of essential medicine.

BACKGROUND: Bone morphogenetic protein 2 possesses osteoinduction, and vascular endothelial growth factor plays a positive regulatory role in osteogenesis and bone repair. So what wil happen if both of them are used for spinal fusion? OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of fibrin glue combined with vascular endothelial growth factor 165 and recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2 on intertransverse process fusion. METHODS: Thirty Japanese white rabbits were randomized into three groups (n=10 per group): rabbits underwent intertransverse process fusion at the level of L5-6 with vascular endothelial growth factor 165/recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2/fibrin glue in experimental group, recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2/fibrin glue in control group, and fibrin glue in blank control group, respectively. At 6 weeks after implantation, observations of biomechanics, X-ray imaging and histology were performed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Osteogenic fusion between transverse processes could be found in experimental and control groups except for the blank control group, which was better in the experimental group. The strength of osteogenic fusion in the experimental group was significantly stronger than that in the control group (P < 0.01). Besides, abundant chondrocytes, osteocytes, mature bone tissues and col agens could be found in the osteogenic fusion specimen of the experimental group, and numerous chondrocytes, osteocytes and mature bone tissues observed in the osteogenic fusion specimen of the control group. In conclusion, fibrin glue combined with vascular endothelial growth factor 165 and recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2 can promote osteogenic fusion.

Methods: From February, 2000 to April, 2002, 12 patients with pulmonary granuloma were imaged with FDG-PET (positron emission tomography) before surgery. Objective To investigate whether pregnant rats exposure to ketamine cause offspring changes in space cognitive abilities and exploration abilities.Methods 3-month Sprague-Dawley female rats ( n =24)were randomly divided into four groups:group N (control group),group K1 (small doses of ketamine group),group K2 ( clinical anesthesia dose of ketamine group),group K3 ( large doses of ketamine group).3-month Sprague-Dawley male rats ( n =4) and female rats were mated at the same cage by the proportion of 2∶ 1.Pregnant mice were treated at tenth day:group N were treated saline with equal-volume to ketamine vein injection; group K1,group K2,group K3 administered vein injection 3,8,20mg/kg of ketamine.Then the 20-day offspring rats'learning and memory were assessed used Open Field Test ( record the time of the offspring in the central case through the number of grid within 2 min ) and Hole Board Test ( Counting the times of offspring stretch into the hole in 5 min) at postnatal days 20.Results In the Open Field Test,the retention time in central check of group N,group K2 and group K3 were (2.45 ± 1.23)s,(6.42 ±2.50)s,(6.41 ±2.19)s.Compared with group N,the retention time in central check of group K2 and group K3 were significantly higher (F=13.42,P＜0.01 ),and group K1 were not significant different ( t =1.33,P＞0.01 ),and the locomotion of group K1,group K2,group K3 were significantly reduced( ( 15.33 ± 6.81 ),( 13.75 ± 5.93 ),( 16.92 ± 6.54 ),F =4.24,P ＜ 0.05 ).In the Hole Board Test,the times of offspring stretch into the hole were not significant different comparing with the control group(F=2.17,P ＞ 0.05 ).Conclusion The dose of ketamine that equivalented clinical anesthesia can affect offspring rats' space cognitive abilities; but the exploring cognitive ability were not significantly influenced.
