Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2015;(8):686-689
ObjectiveTo evaluate the correlation of peripheral IL-10/IL-17 expression and pulmonary function in children withMycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP).MethodsChildren with MPP (n=66) were recruited and divided into MPP gasp groups (n=31) and MPP no-gasp group (n=35) based on whether pulmonary wheezing sound exists. Another 30 healthy children were recruited as control group. ELISA was used to detect the level of interleukin - 6 (IL - 6) and transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β). The peak expiratory lfow (PEF), forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1), forced expiratory volume in 1 s/forced vital capacity (FEV1/FVC) and lung capacity maximum expiratory lfow (V75, V50, V25)were detected by pulmonary function instrument.ResultsThe serum IL-10 level of MPP gasp groups, MPP no-gasp group and control group were(8.1±1.8) ng/L,(13.3±2.0)ng/L and(18.4±1.7)ng/L, respectively; the serum IL-17 level were(23.8±2.3)ng/L,(16.2±1.5)ng/L and (11.4±1.0)ng/L, respectively; which showed signiifcant differences between each group(P<0.05). The PEF, FEV1 and FEV1/FVC of MPP gasp groups were(71.4±5.7)%,(71.8±6.3)% and 72.5±9.6; and those of MPP no-gasp group were(95.3±7.8)%, (96.2±10.5)% and 85.3±4.5; which showed signiifcant differences between the two groups(P<0.05). The V75, V50 and V25 were(74.7±5.0)%,(45.2±10.3)% and(38.3±8.7)%, and those of MPP no-gasp group were(85.6±4.2)%,(75.9±9.5)% and (66.1±12.5)%. Pearson correlation analysis showed that PEF, FEV1, V75, V50 and V25 had positive correlation(P?0.05)with the level of IL-10 and f IL-17 (bothP?0.05).ConclusionMPP children have IL-10/IL-17 imbalance, and the expression of IL-10/IL-17 was correlated with pulmonary function changes.

3.Expression and regulatory mechanism of microRNA-133 in tumor
Journal of International Oncology 2014;(9):641-644
As small non-coding RNAs,microRNAs (miRNAs)have been recognized as important reg-ulatory factors in the post-transcription regulation network.Studies have shown that miR-133a and miR-133b, as members of miR-133 family, can regulate the expression of target genes such as epidermal growth factor receptor and oncogene. They regulate the mitogen-activated protein kinases and protein kinase B signaling path-ways,which affect tumor cell proliferation, invasion and migration.MiR-133 plays a key role in the process of tumor development and progression, suggesting that it could be served as a new target for cancer treatment.
4.A clinicopathological analysis of gastric lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue(MALT)
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1981;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the methods of preoperation diagnosis and treatment of primary gastric lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue(MALT).Methods To analyze retrospectively the diagnosis and treatment of 54 cases of MALT lymphoma diagnosed surgically and pathologically. Results The most common symptoms were stomachache or discomfort.Of the patients with MALT lymphoma,85.2%(46/54)cases were diagnosed by preoperation gastroscopy with biopsy.Helicobacter pylori was found in 48 cases(88.9%).The overall resection rate for MALT lymphoma was 87%(47/54).The 5-year and 10-year survival were 77.1% and 72.9%,respectively.Conclusions It is obvious that MALT lymphoma is associated with Helicobacter pylori.Since no specific symptoms in gastric MALT lymphoma, the preoperative diagnosis is relied upon the application of gastrointestinal image, gastroscopy and repeated biopsy. The use of curative resection with the post-operative chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy to treat MALT lymphoma is reasonable.
5.Efficacy and safety of smoking cessation intervention by anesthesiologists
The Journal of Clinical Anesthesiology 2017;33(1):41-44
Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of smoking intervention by anesthesiol-ogists in surgical patients. Methods A total of 182 male patients, aged 18-79 years,ASA grade Ⅰ-Ⅲ,scheduled for elective noncardiovascular and nonthoracic surgery, were assessed preoperatively. Patients were randomized to either the control group or the intervention group,n =91 each. The con-trol group did not receive specific smoking cessation intervention. The intervention group received brief counseling by the anesthesiologist, leaflets on smoking cessation, including pictorial health warning labels, smoking cessation clinic’s smokers’hot line and WeChat public number.Anesthesia methods, operation time, treatment time in PACU,the rate of smoking cessation at 30 days postop-eratively,perioperative complications and smoking status at 30 days postoperatively were recorded. Results One hundred and sixty-six patients were included in the analysis finally. There was no signif-icant difference between two groups in 30 days of follow-up postoperatively.Self-reported smoking re-duction in the postoperative 30 days the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group (36.9% vs.22.0%,P <0.05).For smokers, there was a relationship between the lev-el of eCO and the smoking cessation rate,it was 83.3% in the intervention group and 40.0% in the control group (P <0.05).There was no significant difference of overall rate of combined intraopera-tive and immediate postoperative complications between two groups. Conclusion Smoking cessation intervention launched by anesthesiologists promotes 30 days of abstinence postoperatively.
6.Influence of surface treatment with sodium hypochlorite solution on dentin bond strength
Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2017;49(1):105-109
Objective:To evaluate the influence of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) solution used during root canal therapy on dentin bond strength. Methods:In the study,15 freshly extracted human third molars with complete dental crowns, caries and filling-free were selected. The occlusal enamel was removed perpendicular to the long axis of the tooth to expose middle flat surfaces of sound dentin. The occlusal dentin surfaces were then polished using 600-grit silicon papers for 1 min and rinsed with deionized water for 1 min.The teeth were randomly divided into three groups according to the treatment received:group A (negative control group),the samples were immersed in deionized water for 20 min;group B,the dentin surfaces were immersed in 2.50% NaOCl solution for 20 min, with the solution being renewed every 5 min;group C,the dentin surfaces were immersed in 5.25% NaOCl solution for 20 min, with the solution being renewed every 5 min.All the treated dentin surfaces were bonded using a self-etching adhesive system (SE bond) with a 5 mm in height resin composite (AP-X).After storage in deionized water at 37 ℃ for 24 h,the adhesive samples were sectioned longitudinally to produce 1.0 mm ± 1.0 mm stick specimens (n =45) for micro-tensile bond strength testing (MPa).Failure modes (adhesive failure, cohesive failure or mixed failure) at the dentin-resin interface were observed using a stereomicroscope. The micro-tensile bond strength data among the three groups were analyzed by a one-way ANOVA,then the Post-hoc test(LSD) was employed for pairwise comparison. The distribution of failure modes among the groups were analyzed by chi square test. Results:Significant decreased bond strength values were found for the 2.50% NaOCl-treated group (26.04 ± 5.74) MPa and 5.25% NaOCl-treated group (24.46 ± 3.77) MPa when compared with the strength of negative control group (48.71 ± 7.77) MPa,P =0.000.Compared with the negative control group,themicro-tensile bond strength of the 2.50% NaOCl-treated group and 5.25% NaOCl-treated grouphad dropped by 46.5% and 50.2%.However,there was no significant difference of bond strength between the 2 NaOCl-treated groups (P =0.214).The distribution of failure modes showed significant difference in all the three groups (2 =56.324,P =0.000).The mixed failure (68.9%) was the most mode of fracture in the negative control group, followed by adhesive failure (24.4%),and the cohesive failure was leas t (6.7%).The proportion of adhesive failure mode was higher in NaOCl-treated groups than in negative control group (P =0.000).There was no significant difference of the distribution of failure modes between the 2.50% NaOCl-treated group and 5.25% NaOCl-treated group(P =0.197),and there was no cohesive failure mode detected in the two groups. Conclusion:The micro-tensile bond strength of dentin to composite resin was lower after exposure to NaOCl solution.
