BACKGROUND:Surgical treatment is often required for fractures of the cervical vertebrae. Anterior interbody fusion technology is stil the main method for the treatment of cervical degeneration or traumatic instability. Here, the self-made oval al ogeneic bone pad can adapt to different height and width of the intervertebral space, in line with the physiological shape of the intervertebral space. OBJECTIVE:By comparison with autogenous iliac crest bone, to evaluate various types of self-designed al ogeneic bone pads on anterior cervical interbody fusion. METHODS:From January 2009 to December 2013, 58 patients with cervical disc herniation were enrol ed and subjected to cervical discectomy and anterior cervical interbody fusion. According to different bone grafts, these patients were divided into al ogeneic bone pad and autogenous iliac bone groups. The course of disease was 12 to 24 months. The postoperative effect was measured by Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) score, cervical fusion rate, fusion time, operative time, blood loss and rejection rate. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:At 6 months postoperatively, the JOA score of two groups had no significant difference at 6 months after treatment (P>0.05);the cervical fusion rates were 83.7%and 87.8%, respectively, in the al ogeneic bone pad and autogenous iliac bone groups, with no significant difference (P>0.05). Fusion time was higher in the al ogeneic bone pad than in the autogenous iliac bone group (P<0.05). The internal fixators in the two groups were firmed without loosening, and there was no rejection during the fol ow-up. Compared with the autogenous iliac crest bone, anterior cervical interbody fusion with al ogeneic bone pad can achieve satisfactory effects, which can be better for intervertebral fusion and cannot induce pain due to bone cutting.

Objective To compare and analyze the surgical and non-surgical treatment results of hypertensive cerebrat hemorrhage.Methods 29 vases of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage patients are randomly divided into two groups:13 cases were treated by surgical treatment,and 16 cases were treated by medicine treatment.Results In surgical group,dead 3 cases,plant survival 5 eases,death disablity rate is 62%;and in non-surgical group:dead 1 case,plant survival 5 eases,death disablity rate is 44%.Conclusion There is no significant difierence between surgical and non-surgical treatment of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage.It should be thought more to use surgical treatment on hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage.

Objective:To evaluate the biological characters of C57-TgN(HBV adr2.0)SMMU transgenic mice. Methods: Integration,expression,replication and histology change of hepatitis B virus gene in F6 transgenic mice were estimated by ge-nomic DNA PCR,Western blotting,ELISA,immunohistochemistry,serum DNA PCR,transmission electron microscopy and H-E staining. Results: Hepatitis B virus gene was integrated into F6 C57-TgN(HBV adr2. 0)SMMU transgenic mice and expressed HBsAg,HBcAg and X protein in liver tissue. HBsAg and HBeAg were expressed in serum of 19. 54% and 3. 39% F6 transgenic mice. Hepatitis B virus were replicated in serum and liver tissue of transgenic mice. Long-term integration,expression and replication of hepatitis B virus gene induced pathological lesion of transgenic mice liver and lung. Conclusion: C57-TgNCHBV adr2. 0)SMMU transgenic mice line has the biological characters including integration of hepatitis B virus gene into genomic DNA,expression and replication of hepatitis B virus gene in serum and liver, and histological change in liver and lung. It is a valuable animal system to study pathogenesis, treatment and prevention of hepatitis B virus.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of the sublingual immunotherapy with Dermatophagoides farianae drops on different age groups. Methods The efficacy of 117 patients with AR received SLIT treatment for more than one year were retrospectively analyzed. These patients were divided into three groups according to the age,children group(6-14 year old,35 patients),youth age group(15-35 year old,45 cases)and middle-aged group(36-66 year old,37 pa-tients). Before and SLIT treatment for half one year, one year,symptom score, medication score and signs score were evaluated. Results After SLIT treatment for half a year and one year, the symptom score, medication score and signs score in these patients significantly reduced compared with before(P<0.05). Compared with after half a year treatment,the symptom score of children group significantly reduced(q=3.05,P<0.05),and other indicators were not statistically significant (P>0.05). The symptom score, medication score and signs score among three age groups were not statisti-cally significant (P>0.05) at all the time points. Conclusion Dermatophagoides farinae drops on allergic rhinitis can play a significant and similar effect in the different age groups.

Renal abscess caused by fish bone ingestion is extremely rare and has not been reported in the literature. A male patient presented with a 1-week history of flank pain and a 2-day history of fever. Urinary ultrasound and CT scan showed an irregular hypodense lesion in the left kidney and blurred thickening of the descending colon wall. Three-dimensional CT reconstruction images revealed a needle-like foreign body, which perforated from the descending colonic lumen to the left kidney. The patient had accidentally eaten fish bone one week prior. On the basis of clinical data, the diagnosis of renal abscess caused by foreign body was suspected. Accordingly, laparotomy was performed, the abscess was drained, and the colon was repaired. The foreign body was confirmed to be fish bone. The postoperative condition of the patient was uneventful, and the patient remained well in the 3 months' follow-up without any further complaints.

Objective: To study the prevalence and correlates of unprotected sexual intercourse within HIV serodiscordant couples in Dehong prefecture, Yunnan Province, China, in 2014. Methods: This study was based on the follow-up investigation of "the AIDS cohort of seronegative spouses of HIV-infected individuals in Dehong prefecture" in 2014. The 1 520 participants were HIV seronegative spouses from all five counties/cities of Dehong prefecture who voluntarily participated in the cohort. Inclusion criteria included: having a HIV-positive spouse; ≥16 years of age; having had sexual intercourse with spouse in the past year; and being a resident of Dehong prefecture. Information on HIV-positive spouses were also collected through the local AIDS epidemic database. Chi square analysis was performed to compare differences in the rates of unprotected sexual intercourse between participants with different characteristics and lifestyle choices. Multivariable logistic regression model analysis was performed to determine correlates with unprotected sexual intercourse. Results: The 1 520 participants had a mean age of 38.7±9.4, compared with 39.7±8.9 for their HIV-positive spouses. Among the HIV-positive spouses, 77.8% (1 183/1 520) had been infected for more than 3 years, and 87.6% (1 332/1 520) had received antiretroviral therapy. The prevalence of unprotected sexual intercourse within serodiscordant couples over the past 12 months was 16.1% (244/1 520). The prevalence of unprotected sexual intercourse correlated with the level of education of HIV-negative spouses (illiterate vs. middle school and above, OR=1.58, P=0.044), the number of years since diagnosis of HIV-positive spouses (short vs. long, OR=1.6, P=0.006), antiretroviral therapy of HIV-positive spouses (no vs. yes, OR=2.78, P<0.001), the frequency of sexual intercourse per month (high vs. low, OR=1.66, P=0.019), and whether the couple had children (no vs. yes, OR=1.72, P=0.007). Conclusion The prevalence of unprotected sexual intercourse within serodiscordant couples in Dehong prefecture was relatively high in 2014. Factors found to correlate with the occurrence of unprotected sexual intercourse within these couples included illiteracy of HIV-negative spouses, short time since diagnosis of HIV-positive spouses and lack of antiretroviral therapy, high frequency of sexual intercourse and no children.

Mahuang Shengmatang was first recorded in the chapter "Reverting Yin Diseases" in the Treatise on Cold Damage （《伤寒论》）. Whether it is a classic prescription created by ZHANG Zhong-jing is controversial among scholars and physicians due to its distinctiveness in contexts and drug composition. In fact， its proven efficacy in a number of clinical cases cannot be denied， and it is rather biased to judge that Mahuang Shengmatang is a fallacy of later generations. The present study pointed out that Mahuang Shengmatang was a representative in the Treatise on Cold Damage in the treatment of diseases with complicated syndromes. In this formula， although the compatibility of drugs effective in dispersion， astringing， nourishing Yin， assisting Yang， clearing heat， dissipating cold， ascending， floating， sinking， and descending seems complex， it follows certain therapeutic principles. Five depression syndromes in the Huangdi Neijing （《黄帝内经》） highly reflect the Five Elements losing the nature， and embody multiple characteristics of the five elements， such as the movement forms， functions， and disease nature. Furthermore， the corresponding treatment methods were pointed out in the Plain Questions · Major Discussion on the Progress of the Six Climatic Changes of Huangdi′s Internal Classic， including "stagnation of wood should be treated by smoothing， stagnation of fire by dispersing， stagnation of earth by attacking， stagnation of metal by dredging， and stagnation of water by inhibiting"， aiming to restore the physiological conditions of the five elements. The indicated syndromes of Mahuang Shengmatang are complex in superior-inferior， asthenia-sthenia， and cold-heat. The five depression syndromes and their treatment methods recorded in the Huangdi's Internal Classic can reflect the key syndrome pathogenesis and therapeutic principles， which are conducive to analyzing the syndrome differentiation and formulating principles of Mahuang Shengmatang. In the disease progression， impaired Yang Qi in greater Yin and inward invasion of cold pathogens in reverting Yin happen in the initial stage of indicated syndromes of Mahuang Shengmatang， with characteristics of water stagnation， earth stagnation， and wood stagnation. Furthermore， mental stagnation and fire stagnation triggered by Yang Qi accumulation in greater Yang and Yang brightness are the secondary consequences. The compatibility of five types of drugs in Mahuang Shengmatang can act on five depression syndromes in a targeted manner. Based on the five-depression theory in the Huangdi′s Internal Classic and available literature， the present study summarized syndrome pathogenesis and medication characteristics of Mahuang Shengmatang， clarified the correlation between formula and syndrome， and reviewed clinical reports in recent years， which is expected to provide references for the clinical application of Mahuang Shengmatang.

OBJECTIVETo study the incidence rate and risk factors of HIV infection among sero-negative spouses of people living with HIV/AIDS (HIV/AIDS) in Dehong prefecture, Yunnan province.

METHODSA prospective cohort study was conducted from February 2009 to December 2014 in Dehong prefecture, Yunnan province. Questionnaire survey and HIV related tests were carried out once a year.

RESULTSBy the end of December 2014, 2 091 sero-negative spouses had been recruited, of whom 1 692 were followed-up for at least one time. RESULTS showed that 34 new HIV infections were identified within 5 494.52 person years of follow-up, for an overall incidence of 0.62 per 100 person years. HIV incidence rates appeared as 0.79 per 100 person years, 0.62 per 100 person years, 0.47 per 100 person years in 2009-2010, 2011-2012, 2013-2014, respectively. Data from the Cox proportional hazard regression model indicated that risk factors of HIV infection among sero-negative spouses of HIV/AIDS were: non-consistent condom use (HR=4.64, 95%CI: 1.89-11.40,P= 0.001), HIV/AIDS delayed antiviral retrovirus therapy (ART) for more than one year (HR=3.70, 95% CI: 1.44-9.49,P=0.007) after the HIV negative spouses were initially recruited, HIV/AIDS did not receive any ART (HR=3.62, 95% CI: 1.14-11.51,P=0.029).

CONCLUSIONSThe incidence of HIV infection among sero-negative spouses in Dehong prefecture was relatively low. Publicity on consistent condom use program should be emphasized among sero-negative spouses of HIV/AIDS, together with the timely provision of ART to those HIV/AIDS.

To explore the mechanism of tea albino variation and high theanine formation, 'Fuyun 6' and a new theanine-rich tea cultivar 'Fuhuang 2' were as materials in this study, pigment content, metabolome and transcriptome of the two cultivars were analyzed by ultramicroelectron microscopy, widely targeted metabolomics, targeted metabolomics and transcriptomics. The results showed that five catechins, theobromine, caffeine, and 20 free amino acids, including theanine, glutamine, arginine, etc., were identified by targeted metabolomics. The amino acid content of 'Fuhuang 2' was significantly higher than that of 'Fuyun 6', and the theanine content was as high as 57.37 mg/g in 'Fuhuang 2'. The ultrastructure of leaves showed that the chloroplast cell structure of 'Fuhuang 2' was fuzzy, most of the grana lamellae were arranged in disorder, with large gaps, and the thylakoids were filiform. The determination of pigments showed that compared with 'Fuyun 6', the contents of chlorophyll A and B, carotenoids, flavonoids and other pigments of 'Fuhuang 2' decreased significantly, some important pigment-related-genes, such as chlorophyllase (CLH), 9-cis-epoxycarotenoid dioxygenase (NCED), flavonoid 3β-hydroxylase (F3H) and flavonoid 3', 5'-hydroxylase (F3'5'H) were significantly changed. Compared with 'Fuyun 6', 'Fuhuang 2' identified 138 significantly changed metabolites (SCMs) and 658 differentially expressed genes (DEGs). KEGG enrichment analysis showed that SCMs and DEGs were significantly enriched in amino acid biosynthesis, glutathione metabolism and TCA cycle. In general, the albino phenotype of 'Fuhuang 2' may be caused by a deficiency in photosynthetic proteins, chlorophyll metabolism genes and chlorophyll content. The accumulation of high theanine in 'Fuhuang 2' may be due to the low nitrogen consumption in yellowed leaves and the lack of carbon skeleton, amino and nitrogen resources are stored more effectively, resulting in the up regulation of metabolites and related gene expression in the amino acid synthesis pathway, theanine has become a significant accumulation of nitrogen-containing compounds in yellowed leaves.
