1.Significance of Bcl-2 family in tumor progression and therapy
Journal of International Oncology 2008;35(10):726-728
Bcl-2 family have dual-regulating effects on cell apoptosis mediated by mitoehondrion. The ratio of pro-apoptosis members and anti-apoptosis members closely correlates with tumorigenesis, drug-resist-ance and prognosis. Therefore,Bcl-2 family become important targets in tumor biotherapy. Many strategies have been applied to tumors treatment targeting Bcl-2 family, such as some biological treatment, short peptides and organic small molecules.

5.Effects of pomegranate flowers polyphenols on liver PON expression of diabetes combining non-alcoholic fat liver diseases rats.
Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2013;48(1):71-6
To investigate the protective effects and possible mechanism of pomegranate flowers polyphenols (PFP) on liver function of rats with diabetes combining non-alcoholic fat liver diseases, diabetes combining nonalcoholic fat liver disease model rats were established with high calorie feeding and small dose intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ). Model rats were randomly divided into: model group, metformin group, pomegranate flowers polyphenols low, medium and high dose group (75, 150 and 300 mg x kg(-1)). After four weeks treatment, the levels of FPG, blood fat profiles and serum insulin, ALT, AST levels, SOD and MDA in the liver and serum separately were analyzed with biochemical methods. Paraoxonase (PON1 and PON3) mRNA and protein expression in liver were checked by RT-PCR and immunohistochemical method. Pathological changes of the liver were observed. FPG, IRI, non-HDL-C and transaminase significantly reduced and HDL-C raised in the each PFP dose group; Furthermore, compared with model group, fat drops in liver cells significantly reduced, antioxidant ability enhanced, PON1 mRNA and protein expression level in liver increased significantly. The protective effects of PFP against diabetes combining non-alcoholic fat liver diseases rats might through the increase liver PON1 mRNA and protein expression further enhanced the body antioxidant capacity and reduced IRI so as to ameliorate the rat hepatic steatosis.
6.A study of spatiotemporal visual modulation transfer function for diagnosis of early glaucoma
Ophthalmology in China 1993;0(01):-
At 4Hz and 16Hz temporal frequencies and at a range of 3—37.8 cycles per degree (cpd) of spatial frequency which were divide into 12 grades, an instrument with a flickering sinusoid grate was used to measure the laser retina-visual cortex spatiotemporal visual modulation transfer function (S-TMTF) in patients with glaucoma. There were 34 cases (65 eyes) with early primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG), 18 cases (31 eyes) with moderate or late glaucoma and 19 cases (37 eyes) with suspect glaucoma (SG). In 6 months. 16 patients of SG were followed. The results showed that in patients with early POAG, abnormal S-TMTF values might occur in low frequency region, the abnormal values tended to be general in the middle frequency region, and in the high frequency region all the S-TMTF values were significantly lower than that of the control. In cases with SG, lowering of S-TMTF was seen in many frequency points above 9.5 cpd, but did not found in regions below 9.5 cpd. The S-TMTF values at 16 Hz were lower than that at 4 Hz in each corresponding spatial frequency, and with aggravation of the disease, the greatest discrepancy value appeared to be shifting from high to low frequency points. In the follow-up period, an early glaucomatous visual field change occurred in a female case with ocular hypertension. It is demonstrated that the S-TMTF value is of high sensitivity for diagnosis of POAG, but it is difficult to screen the specific diagnostic frequency point and its critical value.
7.Affect of the view of correspondence between nature and human on TCM theory
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2010;32(6):542,549-
"Correspondence between nature and human" is the basic thought of ancient Chinese philosophy. It had different meanings at different historical period. In Shang and Zhou dynasty, nature and human were combined together by sorcery; in Han dynasty, "qi" became the link of nature and human; and in Song and Ming dynasty, the link turned to the "Li".The concept of "correspondence between nature and human" improved the formation TCM theory and influenced its development for all the time.
