1.A Sensitive,Rapid and Specific Assay for Double Stranded DNA Antibodies
Chinese Journal of Clinical Laboratory Science 1985;0(04):-
This paper presented the method and result of enzyme-immunoassay using the CL kine-toplast as a substrate for the measurement of dsDNA antibodies.Clinical studies showedthat the results of 538 donors,984 non-rheumatic patients and 94 rheumatic diseases otherthan SLE were all negative. The positive rate of anti-dsDNA in 56 SLE sera was 55.4%.The method was compared with indirect fluorescent antibody test(CL-IF).The method isquite sensitive, simple and less expensive and can be performed by the ordinary optical mic-roscope.The micromillimetres of blood from earlobe was satisfactory.

Micro Network interactive system introduced the whole process of medical morphology laboratory which creates a new teaching mode and significantly improve the teaching quality and efficiency for medical Morphology Experimental teaching, by full realization of a clear vivid images, language interaction and the sharing of information resources and diluting the discipline lines. At the same time, It put forward new demands about knowledge and ability of network knowledge, techniques, image data sources, the development and application of function to teachers.

AIM: Cross talk between oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) and angiotensin II(Ang-Ⅱ) may play an important role in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. In this study, we tested the hypothesis that AngⅡ can induce expression of lectin-like oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor-1 (LOX-1), a new receptor for ox-LDL, in cultured THP-1 cells. METHODS: Cultured THP-1 cells were treated with 0.1 ?mol/L PMA for 48 hours at first .Then the cells were incubated with 10 -9 -10 -5 mol/L Ang II for 24 hours, or with 10 -6 mol/L Ang II for various time up to 48 hours. LOX-1 protein expression was examined by cell enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and LOX-1 mRNA was detected by quantitative competitive reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) . RESULTS: PMA-untreated THP-1 cells didn't express LOX-1 mRNA. After 48 h of PMA treatment, THP-1 cells differentiated and LOX-1 mRNA was detected. Incubation of AngII with THP-1 cells for 24 h significantly increased LOX-1 mRNA and protein expression in a concentration-dependent manner (10 -9 -10 -5 mol/L, P

Objective To investigate the gender differences of glucose metabolic network in brains of healthy adults at resting state by 18F-FDG PET.Methods A total of 204 dextromanual, healthy individuals (104 males, average age:(53.45±11.51) years;100 females, average age:(54.11±12.09) years) were enrolled from June 2011 to June 2016 to construct brain metabolic networks. The nodal and global parameters, including clustering coefficient (Cp),characteristic path length (Lp) and betweenness centrality (Cb),were analyzed by graph theory.Permutation test with 1 000 repetitions was used. Results The brain metabolic networks derived from 18F-FDG PET data were with small-world properties in both male group and female group.Compared with Cb in females,Cb in males was significantly reduced in left postcentral gyrus, right angular gyrus and left temporal pole/middle temporal gyrus (permutation test, all P<0.05);and it was increased in left amygdala, left precuneus, right temporal pole/middle temporal gyrus and left inferior temporal gyrus (permutation test, all P<0.05).Comparing with the females, the male group had higher Cp and longer absolute Lp but without significant difference (permutation test, all P>0.05).Conclusions There are gender-related differences of topological structure in whole-brain metabolic networks.Gender should be considered as a covariate while designing experiments, accounting for cerebral metabolic data from normal control and experimental patients as well as making clinical decisions.

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of pestle needle combined with Chinese herbal fumigation on cervical spondylosis and provide a safe effective therapy for this condition. Methods: A total of 54 cases were randomly allocated into two groups (27 cases in each group) according to their sequence of consultation. Patients in both groups were treated with the same Chinese herbal fumigation. Patients in the treatment group were additionally treated with pestle needle therapy on a unique set ofBa Zhen points around Dazhui (GV 14), Fengfu (GV 16) and the distance between Naohu (GV 17) and Dazhui (GV 14) along theHe Chepathway, whereas patients in the control group were additionally treated with routine acupuncture therapy. Then the short-term and long-term efficacies were observed and compared after treatment using the visual analog scale (VAS) and pain rating index (PRI). Results: At the end of treatment, VAS scores were significantly decreased in both groups, and the VAS score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The intra-group differences were statistically significant in VAS scores 1 month, 3 and 6 months after treatment (allP<0.05). At the end of treatment, the sensory and total PRI scores in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group, showing statistically significant differences (both P<0.01); and there was no significant between-group difference (P>0.05) in the affective PRI score. At the end of treatment, the total effective rate was 85.2% in the treatment group, versus 65.4% in the control group, showing a statistical significance (P<0.05). The follow-up six months later showed that the total effective rate was 92.6% in the treatment group, versus 76.9% in the control group, showing a statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion: Pestle needle therapy is a stable and positive therapy for cervical spondylosis.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of pestle acupuncture at Yao Yang Guan Ba Zhen and He Che Ming Qiang Duan in treating lumbago due to cold and damp. Methods Totally sixty-two patients with lumbago due to cold and damp were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 31 in each group. The two groups were both intervened by medicinal fumigation, while the treatment group was additionally treated with pestle acupuncture at Yao Yang Guan Ba Zhen and He Che Ming Qiang Duan and the control group was additionally with ordinary acupuncture. Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) was observed before and after intervention, and the clinical efficacies were compared. Results The total effective rate was 90.3%in the treatment group versus 87.1% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The VAS scores were significantly changed after intervention in both groups (P<0.01). After intervention, there was a significant difference in comparing VAS score between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusions Pestle acupuncture is an effective method in treating lumbago due to cold and damp, and it doesn’t cause any injury or pain.
