Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of percutaneous Cool-tip Radiofrequency ablation guided by computerized tomography (CT) for the treatment of advanced lung cancer. Methods 32 patients of advanced lung cancer with 102 different pathological types were treated with MERP technique. The patients' blood pressure,pulse rate and oxygen saturation were monitored during the procedure. The hepatic, pulmonary and renal functions were examined before and after the procedure. The tumor bulk was compared with CT before and after the treatment. Results There were no any changes in the blood pressure, pulse rate and oxygen saturation in the whole series before, immediately after the term ination and one month after the procedure, nor did the hepatic,pulmonary and renal function as well. The bulk of the tumor in this group as a whole enlarged by the end of the first month after the therapy. The CT scanning of the tumor at the end of the third month revealed that there had 23 CR, 53 PRa, 24 PRb, and 2 NR among 102 tumors. Conclusion The Cool-tip Radiofrequency ablation is a promising mini-invasive technique for the treatment of advanced lung cancer with the satisfactory efficacy and safety.

Objective:To investigate esomeprazole combined with early enteral nutrition on the immune function and intestinal flo-ra in the elderly by patients with severe acute pancreatitis. Methods:Totally 78 elderly by patients with severe acute pancreatitis were selected and randomly divided into the observation group (39 cases) and the control group (39 cases). The control group was treated with early enteral nutrition therapy, and the observation group was treated with esomeprazole additionally. The treatment course was 14 days. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher that of the control group (P<0. 05). The abdominal pain relief time, recovery time of bowel sounds, abdominal distension relief time, and the time of serum amylase returning to normal and u-rine amylase returning to normal in the observation group were all better than those in the control group (P<0. 05). The incidence of intestinal flora disorders in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0. 05). After the treatment, CD3+, CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ increased in both groups (P<0. 05), and those in the observation group were higher than those in the con-trol group (P<0. 05). Serum amylase and urine amylase decreased in both groups after the treatment (P<0. 05), and the decrease in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group (P<0. 05). No serious adverse drug reactions appeared in both groups. Conclusion:Esomeprazole combined with early enteral nutrition in the elderly by patients with severe acute pancreatitis shows significant effect, and the effect may be related with improving the immune function and intestinal flora.

BACKGROUND:A cross-emulsification patented product of microporous polysaccharide hemostatic powder was prepared using potatoes as raw material with independent intel ectual property rights.
OBJECTIVE:To observe hemostasis effects of microporous polysaccharide hemostatic powder on soft tissue trauma.
METHODS:A wound, about 3 cm long and 0.5 cm deep, was made on the abdominal soft tissue of rabbits in the experimental group 1, and then microporous polysaccharide hemostatic powder, 1.0-2.0 g, was sprayed directly on the wound. In the experimental group 2, a wound, about 3.0 cm long and 1.0 cm deep, was made on the abdominal soft tissue of rabbits, and then microporous polysaccharide hemostatic powder, 1.0-2.0 g, was sprayed directly on the wound. Another rabbits with untreated wound served as controls.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Microporous polysaccharide hemostatic powder formed a“pasty gel”covering the bleeding wound that achieved hemostatic effect. The bleeding time was (15.25±1.04) seconds in the experimental group 1 and (11.25±1.89) seconds in the experimental group 2. The marked effective and effective rates for hemostasis were 87.5%and 100%, respectively. In the control group, the bleeding time was more than 5 minutes. Hematoxylin-eosin staining showed mild muscle edema, vasodilatation of smal blood vessels, and few scattered endoplasmic neutrophils infiltrated at 24 hours after treatment with microporous polysaccharide hemostatic powder;til the 7th day, inflammation subsided, mild fibrosis was visible on muscle tissue surface, the hemostatic powder was completely absorbed, the wound tissue was close to the normal tissue, and there were no significant changes in muscle cells. These findings suggest that microporous polysaccharide hemostatic powder can be used for hemostasis of soft tissue trauma.

BACKGROUND:Microporous vacuum polysaccharide hemostatic microspheres are derived from degenerated potato plant starch and prepared through special processing. It is an ideal absorbable polymer styptic material with independent intelectual property rights. OBJECTIVE: To observe the degradation of microporous vacuum polysaccharide hemostatic microspheres and detect the safety indicators of body fluids by implanting microporous vacuum polysaccharide hemostatic microspheres in rats. METHODS:0.1-0.2 g microporous vacuum polysaccharide hemostatic microspheres were implanted subcutaneously on the left side of the spine in 12 rats. At the 1st, 3rd, 7th and 14th days after implantation,the degradation of microporous vacuum polysaccharide hemostatic microspheres in the tissue was observed. Another 15 rats were selected, of which 5 rats were taken as the control group and fed normally, and 10 rats were subjected to anesthesia. Two incisions were made on both sides of the spine, about 5 cm, deep into the muscular layer of 0.3 cm. The right amount of hemostatic microspheres were sprayed on the incisions and covered the entire wound, then the incisions were sutured. The 10 rats were raised normally for 14 days. The various indicators of body fluids such as appearance features, activities, excretion, feeding were detected. Finally, the rats were dissected, and the gross morphology and color changes of main organs were observed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS: The microporous vacuum polysaccharide hemostatic microspheres buried in rats were completely degraded and absorbed within 7 days. After spraying the right amount of microporous vacuum polysaccharide hemostatic microspheres on the incision, the vital signs and biochemical indicators, such as blood and urine tests were all normal. The gross morphology and color of main organs such as liver, spleen, brain and kidney were not found significant anomalies. These results demonstrate that microporous vacuum polysaccharide hemostatic microspheres can be degraded into monosaccharide by amylase and can be completely degraded and absorbed within 7 days, without any side effects to tissues and organs.

Abstract A novel luminol electrochemiluminescence strategy based on titanium dioxide/carbon nanotubes ( TiO2/CNTs) nanocomposites for detection of glucose was developed. First, the TiO2/CNTs nanocomposites were prepared by a sol-gel method and modified on the glassy carbon electrode. The electrochemiluminescence ( ECL) signal could be greatly enhanced when the electrode was established by the nanocomposites, which finally resulted in the increased sensitivity. Glucose oxidase calalyzed the oxidation of glucose to form H2 O2 , and the H2 O2 reacted with luminol to produce the ECL signal. Thus the above system was proved to be efficient for glucose detection. The modified electrode exhibited excellent ECL signals and a good linear range of 1. 0í10-7-5. 0í10-6 mol/L with a detection limit of 5. 2í10-8 mol/L towards glucose detection. This strategy was successfully demonstrated as a sensitive, rapid, simple and cost-effective method to detect glucose. Meanwhile, the TiO2/CNTs nanocomposites offered a novel material for the signal enhancement in electrochemiluminescence sensor.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility of laparoscopically robotic assisted radical hysterectomy and pelvic lymphadenectomy in treatment of cervical cancer.Methods From Dec.2008 to Aug.2009,5 cervical cancer patients at stage Ⅰ bl to Ⅱ a underwent laparoscopically robotic assisted radical hysterectomy and pelvic lymphadenectomy.The following clinical parameters were recorded and compared,including operative time,blood loss,intraoperative and postoperative complications,the changes of hemoglobin before and after surgery,postoperative temperature,the time of postoperative anus exhaust and urination,hospitalization,pathologic exam,and the number of lymph nodes.Results Laparoscopically robotic assisted radical hysterectomy and pelvic lymphadenectomy were performed successfully on those 5 patients without the conversion to laparotomy.No intraoperative and postoperative complications were observed.The operative time were 305,365,275,240 and 245 minutes,respectively,with a mean value of 286 minutes.Estimated blood loss was 200,400,650,300 and 400 ml,respectively.The mean blood loss was 390 ml.Temperatures of all patients were not higher than 37.5℃ and anus exhaust was recovered at 36 hours after surgery.Those five patients were hospitalized for 11,13,9,12 and 12 days respectively.Squamous carcinoma of cervix were diagnosed by the pathologic examination.The resected margin of vagina and parametrium was clear.The numbers of pelvic lymph nodes were 14,22,16,21 and 18,respectively.No evidence of lymph nodes metastasis was found.Conclusion Laparoscopically robotic assisted radical hysterectomy and pelvic lymphadenectomy is feasible as a novel approach in the treatment of cervical cancer.

Objective To investigate the correlation between the imaging manifestations and pathological classification of congeni-tal cystic adenomatoid malformation of the lung(CCAM).Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical and radiologic data of nine patients with pathologically confirmed CCAM,and all data were compared with Stocker pathological classification,respec-tively.Results The CT images of all nine patients demonstrated cysts filled with either gas or fluid,which corresponded exactly with their gross pathological outcomes.Four cases of large cystic CCAM(cyst diameter exceeding 2 cm)were consistent with Stocker type Ⅰ.CT findings showed single or multiple capsular cavities occupying the thoracic cavity,with gas or fluid mainly in the cyst.Two cases exhibited mass effect and expansion of the involved lung lobes,while two cases showed localized decreased density around the lesion.The pathological features of these large cystic CCAM included single or multiple thick-walled cysts,with pseudostratified ciliated colum-nar epithelium lining the cyst lumen observed under microscopy.The other five cases of small cystic CCAM(cyst diameter less than 2 cm)matched Stocker type Ⅱ.CT findings showed multiple thin-walled cellular cysts confined to a single lung lobe,and none of these patients had significant mass effect or expansion of the involved lung lobes.Pathologically,these cases were characterized by multiple small cysts with septa,and the cysts were primarily lined with ciliated columnar or cuboidal epithelium upon microscopy.Conclusion CT imaging of CCAM has specific manifestations,with accurately displaying the distribution range and morphological characteristics of the lesions and reflecting the internal histological characteristics.There is a significant correlation between the CT manifestations of CCAM and their pathological classification.

Objective Continuous nursing intervention was conducted in patients with chronic hepatitis B by means of Weixin platform. The effect of this intervention on compliance of oral nucleoside (acid) analogues (NA) in patients with chronic hepatitis B was studied and analyzed.Methods A total of 240 patients with chronic hepatitis B treated in the Third People's Hospital of Guangyuan in Sichuan Province from October 2014 to December 2016 were recruited. According to the different nursing methods, all the research subjects were divided into experimental group (n=120) and control group (n=120). For the experimental group, a nursing WeChat team and related WeChat group was established to provide professional counseling, authoritative scientific diagnostic information, appointment registration and other continuous nursing intervention for 6 months. Patients in the control group were given routine nursing. All patients were given oral NA treatment. The score of compliance after 6 months' intervention, the rate of review at 1st, 3rd and 6th month after discharge, and the recurrence rate at 12th month after discharge.Results The score of compliance of the control group was (52.37±7.65), and experimental group (63.85±8.57) after intervention. The difference in compliance was statistically significant (t=10.947,P<0.05). After intervention, the number of high compliance patients was 51 in the experimental group, which was higher than 29 in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=9.075,P<0.05). The rates of review at 1st, 3rd and 6th month after discharge of the experimental group were all 100.00％, which were higher than those of the control group (96.67％, 92.50％ and 82.50％). The recurrence rate at 12th month after discharge of the experimental group was 8.33％,which was lower than 20.00％ of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions With the help of WeChat platform, continuous nursing can significantly improve the compliance of oral NA, improve the degree of re-visit and reduce the recurrence rate after 1 years in patients with hepatitis B.
