This article is aimed to provide a method for the simultaneous analysis of five heavy metals, including Cu, As, Pb, Cd, and Hg, in Chuanxiong Rhizoma and Gastrodiae Rhizoma through ICP-MS. Five heavy metals were determined by an inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry method after microwave-assisted digestion. The linear correlation coefficients were all better than 0.999. The lowest limits of quantification for all target elements were 0.003 0.134 ug·L-1, while the recovery values ranged from 80.04% 118.34%. This method was accurate, convenient, rapid, and highly sensitive, and can be applied to determine five heavy metals, including Cu, As, Pb, Cd, and Hg in Chuanxiong Rhizoma and Gastrodiae Rhizoma.

Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2013;(12):9-11
Objective To observe the clinical curative effect of Gubenzhike granule on cough variant asthma (CVA), and explore its mechanism. Methods A total of 140 cases of CVA were randomly divided into two groups, 70 cases for each group. The treatment group took Gubenzhike granule orally, and the control group inhaled Budesonide Powder for Inhalation and Salbutamol Sulphate Aerosol, respectively for 8 weeks, with 8 weeks follow-up after treatment. The same nursing intervention was implemented in two groups. Cough symptom scores of the two groups were observed after treatment and at the end of follow-up, the number of eosnophils (EOS) and content of immunoglobulin E (IgE) in peripheral blood were also observed. Results The treatment group completed 67 cases and the control group completed 66 cases. After treatment, the cough symptom scores, EOS and IgE in two groups were significantly reduced (P<0.01, P<0.05), and the cough symptom score of treatment group decreased more significantly than that of control group (P<0.01). The total effective rate and recurrence rate were 91.04%and 9.84%in treatment group, and 83.33% and 30.91% in control group. The total effective rate of treatment group was better than the control group (P<0.01), and the recurrence rate was lower than the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion Gubenzhike granule showed significant effect and low recurrence rate on CVA. Good anti-inflammatory and antianaphylaxis effects may be one of its mechanisms.
3.Clinical effect of probiotics in treatment of liver cirrhosis: a Meta-analysis
Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2018;34(1):73-79
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of probiotics in the treatment of liver cirrhosis through a systematic review. Methods PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Chinese Scientific Journal Full-Text Database, VIP, and Wanfang Data were searched for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of probiotics for the treatment of liver cirrhosis. Rev Man 5. 3 software was used for the meta-analysis of the articles screened out. Rate difference (RD) and its 95% confidence interval (95% CI) were used as effect size indicators for binary variables; weighted mean difference (WMD) was used for evaluating continuous variables with the same unit, and standardized mean difference (SMD) and its 95% CI were used for evaluating continuous variables with different units. Funnel plots were used to analyze publication bias. Results A total of 15 RCTs which met the inclusion criteria were included, and there were 1411 patients with liver cirrhosis in total (726 in treatment group and 685 in control group) . Compared with the control group, the treatment group had significant improvements in overall response rate (RD = 0. 28, 95% CI: 0. 22-0. 34, P < 0. 001) and biochemical parameters for liver function including alanine aminotransferase (SMD =-0. 90, 95% CI:-1. 14 to-0. 66, P < 0. 001), total bilirubin (WMD =-15. 99, 95% CI:-26. 42 to-5. 57, P <0. 001), albumin (SMD = 0. 66, 95% CI: 0. 40-0. 93, P < 0. 001), endotoxin (SMD =-1. 13, 95% CI:-2. 11 to-0. 15, P <0. 001), and blood ammonia (WMD =-15. 86, 95% CI:-21. 54 to-10. 18, P < 0. 001) . Conclusion Probiotics can significantly improve liver function in patients with liver cirrhosis, effectively inhibit the progression of liver cirrhosis, reduce the risk of complications including hepatic encephalopathy, and increase overall response rate and have good tolerability.

Objective To compare paired boxed gene 1(PAX1)methylation and p16/Ki-67 double staining alone and in combination in thinprep cytologic test(TCT)for distinguishing atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance(ASC-US)and low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion(LSIL)population. Methods A total of 247 patients with TCT results of ASC-US and LSIL admitted in our hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were enrolled in this study.Detection efficacy of PAX1 methylation and p16/Ki-67 double staining alone and in combination was evaluated with colposcopic pathologic results as the gold standard and the sensitivity, specificity, accuracy and area under the curve(AUC)as evaluation indexes. Results The positive rates of PAX1 methylation and p16/Ki-67 double staining were increased with the severity of pathological findings.Combined detection of PAX1 methylation and p16/Ki-67 assay had a sensitivity of 91.25%,specificity of 97.72%and accuracy of 95.51%in the women with TCT of ASC-US,and these values were statistically better than those of PAX1 methylation and p16/Ki-67 double staining alone(P<0.01).Conclusion The combination of PAX1 methylation and p16/Ki-67 double-staining assay can further improve the diagnostic efficacy in patients with ASC-US on TCT results.

Chinese Journal of Hepatology 2020;28(1):58-63
Objective:
To investigate the correlation between changes in intestinal mucosal permeability and prognosis of patients with liver cirrhosis.
Methods:
Data of 89 cases with liver cirrhosis who were hospitalized in the Hepatology Department of Shanxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2017 to August 2017 were collected as the liver cirrhosis experimental group, and 40 healthy subjects were randomly selected as the healthy control group. JY-DLT, the Intestinal Mucosal Barrier Biochemical Index Analysis System was used to measure the levels of serum diamine oxidase (DAO), D-lactic acid, and endotoxin (ETX) in two groups to evaluate intestinal mucosal barrier function. Spearman’s rank correlation test was used to evaluate the correlation between liver cirrhosis prognosis and intestinal mucosal permeability. The results of the two groups were compared by Mann-Whitney H test of two independent samples. One-way Anova was used for intergroup comparison. The pairwise comparison between groups was performed using the LSD or SNK test.
Results:
The level of ETX in patients with decompensated cirrhosis was significantly higher than that in the compensated phase, and the difference was statistically significant (
